You know, it never mentions if Adam and Eve were married in the bible. And simply quoting the great "*name* and Steve" line doesn't make your argument any better. And just because your political leaders don't support it doesn't mean that you can' support it either. They're both unintelligent morons with little idea about what they're saying to the public. I wouldn't use their beliefs to compliment my own in any situation. And as for gay marriage, it's forbidden in your religion for you to take part in it (supposedly, I've never actually heard or seen a quote from either testament against gay marriage), not to advocate it for other people. Sure, you're allowed to say, "well hang on. If my religion tells the truth then unless you ask for forgiveness you're going to go to hell", however that doesn't justify not allowing to consenting and sane adults to make the decision for themselves and unite in a supposedly unholy bond. Christianity doesn't support other religions, but they sure as hell don't stop people from joining them. Why can't it be the same for gay marriage? |

doesnt say in either testament ?.... well boy i sure dont know what your reading cuz God said that men was meant to be with women sure it doesnt say about gay marriage but that statement implies that gay marriage isnt acceptable and if your saying that the bible doesnt give enough information about life then your wrong and i will stick to that |

I've read Genesis, Exodus and most of revelations. I don't attend church or any form of religious get together, I read it by myself. You? |

You've read the whole bible? Come on, don't expect me to take in that crap that just spouted from your mouth. That's a lie and you know it. Don't go making lies like you did on TV.com about speaking to your uncle who worked in the WWE and getting the results to Summerslam, remember how you were wrong? Well you're wrong here! Stop lying! Now, as for attending church, my old religion teacher in Year 9 said to me, "Jim, it's like taking a coal out of a fire. When it's in there, it's a piece of coal, but it's hot and burning. When you take it out, it's still a coal, but it's eventually going to go out and become a heap of ash. If you go to church, you'll remain a piece of coal". It went something like that anyway, and it was a good point, but I must be an exception from the rule because I'm actually hotter then I've ever been (keeping with the poor metaphor above), and I'm still a coal. I don't need someone to explain to me what I'm reading, it's not like reading hyroglyphics, it's mostly straight foward, and if you concentrate it's fairly interesting. When I read Harry Potter I don't need to attend HP meetings. When I read a physics text book I can understand what's going on (mostly) without having to ask the teacher what the book is on about. It's the same deal with religion. |

Since you've apparently read the entire Bible and since you apparently continue to read the Bible, then I suppose it wouldn't be too much for me to ask you to quote a passage of scripture that supports this. Could you please show me a scripture passage where God implies that gay marriage isn't acceptable? |

people get married to start a family. 2 men or 2 women cant start a family so they have to adopt then they raise that kid to think like them. |

Not everyone gets married to start a family. Many people get married simply because they want to share their life with another person. Not everyone who throws a ring on their finger wants children. But sticking with the couple and child family type, what if one of the two already have a child from a previous relationship? If a gay man had a child and wound up adding a gay man as his partner, they would still be a couple with child family just as a straight man with a child adding a straight woman would. And "they raise that kid to think like them'? What's that supposed to mean? Are you saying that two homosexuals will teach their children to think like homosexual, i.e. being attracted to the same sex? |

Yeah, you're probably right about that adoption thing. It is much better for a child to be put into group home where he/she will be the victim of violence, sexual abuse, drug abuse, grow up likely not to trust anyone, receive a poor education, and then only gets somewhere around $200 and a swift kick in the rear end once he/she ages out of the system...all of that is much better than allowing the child to be raised by 2 people that are willing to take the child in, grow to love the child, and offer the child a better life, huh?
