It's about time to address the most serious social issue confronting society today: how people clean themselves! So for the sake of social understanding, are you prone to bathe or shower when you clean yourself?

Personally, I'm a shower man and for 2 main reasons. Firstly, I stand a little over 6 feet in height which makes soaking in a tub uncomfortable. And secondly, I don't see how sitting in a tub of water soaking in your own filth can help you get cleaned. Soaking is fine as it helps relaxed your muscles and relieve stress, but all the dirt and oils from your body is being held right next to you by the water. It may be diluted a bit, but it is still there. Even on the rare occasions that I (awkwardly) adjust myself into a tub, I always turn on the shower afterwards to rinse off.

While I do dislike showering somewhat (I like to be clean and fresh, but it's just tedious to me), baths are much more irritating.

When I moved into the apartment I'm living in now, I had a bad showerhead. When I turned on the shower, it sounded like I had Mariah Carey screaming in my face because of the high volume whistle it emitted. So I chose to take baths until I could get that fixed. I wound up having to take baths for about a month (:-/) and it was a miserable experience. I'm about 5'10" and a bit thick (very similiar to Tazz or Hugh Morrus), so it was hell for me to fit into the bathtub - which looks like it would fit a anorexic thirteen year old girl like a glove. Imagine how much higher the frustration level went when I had to clean my head off after I shaved it bald. Add in it how annoying it was to wait for it to fill, how much of a pain it was to get the temperature right (when it was right, it cooled off very quickly) and few other pains and I've developed a major dislike for baths.

Though if I had one of those bathtubs that you see in the houses of NBA stars and the like, my opinion might change.

You dislike showering and bathing? So basically you dislike cleaning yourself?

Another perk that showers have over baths: When you are taking a shower, you can let the shower water drain into your mouth and make those super-cool gargling noises. Can't do that in a tub.

Yes and no. I dislike the whole world of self maintenance, but I still partake in the activities. I dislike them because I'm someone that absolutely hates to do anything that isn't interesting or entertaining. And cleaning is not fun. :-/

Well, that depends. There is at least one part of the body that can be fun to clean by yourself, and there are tons of places that are fun to have someone else clean for you.
