STAY HYPED!!!
I've broken my middle toe on my left foot. Did you know that there's nothing they can do for a broken toe except tape it to another toe and recommend you soak it periodically? I walk with a limp now. :-/

Yeah, I figured as much. But I'm not seeing the connection to breaking my middle toe.

*sigh*

Is there any other treatment for a broken big toe? I've seen people with broken big toes that have a small strip of plastic underneath to act as support, whilst the toe is bandaged to other toes. This setup acts like a plaster cast.

Ok, yeah, duh! I totally get what you were saying now. Talk about your brain fart couple of days. I feel stupid.

I've never broken my big toe, but I'd assume that the treatment is the same for all the toes. You tape a toe to another to so that the second toe can support the injured toe, take pressure off the toe as you walk, and protect the toe from further injury. The big toe may be too big for another toe to protect, so they may have to tie a splint to your toe, or if it's broken too bad then they may put a cast on the toe. I wouldn't know, though.

My toe is almost healed, by the way. I didn't break an actual bone. The joint bent the opposite way that it was suppose to, so I just had to pop it back in place. It's still tender, but it isn't swollen anymore and I can walk normal. There is also still a visible bruise around the joint. I'm thinking I'll be fine by Monday. I'm not Carlito but I still think that's cool.

How did you do it? Drop a piece of wood on it? I once did that, I didn't break anything...I hope.

I was roughing around with one of my nephews, you know, wrestling around in the floor, playing rough, and what not. He was wearing shoes and I was not. I got up and charged to tackle him. He charged back but stopped short when I got to him. When he stopped short, he accidentally stomped on my foot. My toes were already bending due to the natural movement of walking, so when his added weight pushed onto my toes then the middle one just snapped back. Honestly, though, it was more painful setting the toe back than it was having my toe break...or my joint pop, however you'd classify this injury.
