My friend stepped into a ring before. It wasn't a WWE one, but it was still a legit wrestling ring. To him, it was like falling onto a wooden deck.

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

I know a few indy guys that are nobodies but one has a ring in his backyard to practice in. They are pretty hard. There ends up being a very thin layer of pad and you do feel it when you fall. |

I dare say a WWE ring probably feels different to a piece of shit indy ring though. In his first book Foley notes the difference of the rings.
Suppose you'd have to look at the history of wrestling injuries and see if there's a spike when they replaced the rings, and take into account workload and crap like that. I don't think you can blame HHH's quad tear on the ring either, considering that it was more or less a running injury.

I think his repeated quad injuries are less "wear and tear" and more due to the abuse of a needle, but that's just a theory.

STAY HYPED!!!

Running is no reason to dismiss the ring bounciness for an injury. If a ring is too bouncy, then he would probably be more prone to injury when he is running than when he is just falling or something, since he'd by running against the waves/bounce created by the ultra flexible ring.
