Wow... it's 5:30 in the morning here, and I wasn't able to fall back asleep, so now i'm here. Usually I wouldn't log on until around 8:00, so this is a new record for me! |

How can anyone get up that early? I had to get up at 5:45 to get to a lecture this morning, and fell asleep rather promptly upon arrival! It's crazy! |

I told you! I couldn't fall back asleep! The last time I woke up remotely this early, was the morning I went to Six Flags in May 2005, and that was at 5:11am. |

Yes, I was. That was the day I was going to Great Adventure, finally, to ride Kingda Ka, (the tallest, fastest coaster, for those who don't know) so I couldn't sleep that day. |

I'm probably in the absolute minority, and this is no personal attack, but Kingda Ka reeks of shit. Just because a roller-coaster is tall and fast doesn't nessecarily make it the best in the world. Themeing, reliability and fun are all factors I believe go toward a good roller-coaster moreso than tall and fast. I suppose that's why the best coaster in the world is generally known as Millenium Force. Even though it was once the tallest (I'm pretty sure it was never the fastest), the sheer thrill, airtime, smoothness, fun and awsomenimity of the ride gave it the edge over things like Superman the Escape or Top Thrill Dragster. Dueling Dragons is regarded in a pretty mcuh even esteem from what I've heard, and it's all from it's fantastic layout, track interaction and the whole experience. The reason why Six Flags is going/went bust is because they had the belief that slapping a big roller-coaster in the middle of nowhere is going to do it for them. It could, but when they put in half the effort of Cedar Point it just ain't gonna work. |

That is also true. That's why Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster, which is the "original" Stratacoaster, even if it is slightly smaller than Kingda Ka, is much more regarded. They use actual resemblences to a Drag Race, including the cars, the starting grid, and even the noises, giving it a more interesting ride. Kingda Ka isn't that bad, though. It is pretty much all it is racked up to be. When it starts off, you can't even breathe on that damn thing, it's so fast. It still is a great ride, but I still actually prefer "Superman: Ultimate Flight" at SFGA. |

Australias roller-coasters are all very shitty. We have a very small "strata coaster" that features the launch elements of TTD, albeit on a much smaller scale. That ride makes up for it with awesome track elements close to the ground to create the illusion of speed, much like Nemesis at Alton Towers. We have a standard Arrow corkscrew, another Arrow custom track, a Vekoma SLC and a coupla other cool ones. I guess our most regarded one would be the Tower of Terror, which is a one track version of Superman the Escape at SFMM, but this one was opened before Superman (so I hear), and it actually operates daily! |

The USA has huge rollercoasters. I've seen the highest rollercoaster in the US, but I just forgot the name of it. |

Which one? Do you mean Millenium Force, which previously held the record, Top Thrill Dragster, which took the record, or Kinda Ka, which opened last year? |

Actually, it's an awesome looking coaster. Having never been to the US, I can't say I've Xperienced the wonders of engineering yet, but I gotta hand it to X, it's a crazily good looking ride. The theory behind it, and the execution (apart from it's mechanical faults) was flawless.![]() It's a thing of beauty. |

Yeah, it really is. If I ever travel to Texas or California, I have to visit Six Flags. Especially SFoT, with the Texas Giant, Golliath, and other crazy rides. First, though, I have to go on Nitro over here. The line's always too damn long to get on. |

Sadly, my eyes was closed the whole time, so I don't know what you're talking about Neb. Is the double-loop on Fire or Ice? Cause I'v only been on Ice. |

That's what I was doing as well. I've never been to Universal Orlando, (or haven't gone in about 10 years; your choice) so I have no recolection of any of this. |

Speaking of which, I created a recreation of both Kumba (BG:T) and The Incredible Hulk (U:O) in Hyper Rails. They're quite coolish. |
