Thans Whosey. Some one knows what I mean. The news is just away to make money. It did say somewhere that Australia won the Ashes but that was incorrect. Ooops. Sorry Neb. Anyhoo. If you can, watch the news tommorow in your area, note down the main points and then watch another news channel, note down the points and then compare them, you will be suprised. |

To be fair the Irish news isn't too bad. It's unusual as unbiased as you can get. British and American media is big bucks, thus there is more i |

It is true, though. This news is pretty corrupt. And BTW, I just looked it up, and figured out why this started in the first place. Those people are sick! It's pretty scary living near such a big target, such as New York. |

I haven't watched the news in days! The first I saw of it, was on the Yahoo main page, where it said the U.S terror alert was being raised to level red. Wow! 2 for 2 today! I really must be out of it! |

Have no idea. I don't know the difference between the green or red alerts. I guess security is just beefed up more. I just wish we went the "Ron White" way with these things. "Safe alert" is you don't wear a helmet. "Helmet Alert" is when you put a helmet on. (sorry for the reiteration, of what used to be a funny peice, until I messed it up) |

Our country uses the critical system. This affects ourlife because there is police in every street and if you see and dodgy people you need to be suspicious with everyone. If the UK and USA have been targeted. I think you Neb are gonna be in for some drastic changes to security. They will go for Australia, Japan and Canada next if they are sending fear to the two biggest egos in the world (Bush, USA/Blair, UK), who' to say they won't go for the allies. |

What I don't get is people obsessing over failed bomb threats, I'd be more worried about the countless other potential threats I'm sure they've planned. I mean the cops can't have gotten them all. |

Yeah , everyone is worrying about this when right now other people could be planning to do something else and the police wont suspect anything because there to busy worrying about something that could have but didnt happen. |

The point is that this was damn near close to something happening somewhere and no one would've known about if they did'nt catch the ones that were plotting it, sure we can't stop if anything were to happen but atleast it was something that was needed to be shared with ones that live around the US. |

I'd actually enjoy finding out all the names. I do remember this one though... Fittes and Stone Sour present: Usless Conversation! Stone Sour got so offended, it was hilarious.
Surely you should be aware of dodgy people in day to day life even without the government throwing around useless words. I also think that once again you display your naivity of the world. It wasn't just the US and UK that were affected by the 11th September terrorist attacks, but it was the whole world. In 2002 there was a bomb that killed about 200 people in Indonesia. In 2002/3 (I forget the one), there was a well publisced train bombing in Madrid. Last year there was a bomb that killed just about as many people in Egypt. This year there was a bomb that killed a lot of people in Bangladesh. There are obviously more that I'm forgetting. Before then there was an attack on Japan, remember the Sarin gas attacks? The obvious point being that your somewhat moronic view that ONLY the US and the UK were affected by such attacks simply pisses me off. The whole world has been profoundly changed in recent years as a result of not only 9/11, those subway things in London and the aforementioned attacks. Thinking that it was just the two countries you mentioned reeks of ignorance. Of course, I'm not simply blaming you here. I'm going to make the wild accusation that the overwhelming majority of both the US and the UK share your uneducated view on the world. |

I am ignorant to the ways that the whole world was affected by the terrorist attacks to both the US and London, so I cannot speak for it nor against it. I can say that the world was shaken that something like this could happen. Some celebrated and more mourned, but all felt the excruciating power of the attacks. If not physically....emotionally. |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
Now, that's something I've always agreed with. I am of the philosophy that I (or anyone else, for that matter) should ALWAYS be ready for the worst-case scenario, at ALL times. Some may think I'm crazy for always being watchful and ready for trouble. But, if trouble actually finds us, and I'm the only one ready for it, who's crazy now?! Not me. Unfortunately, most people just blunder through life without a care in the world, thinking that nothing bad could ever happen to them. Like Neb said, be prepared at all times, not just when an "Alert Level" gets raised. |

Well, I don't go stringing tripwires across our doorways, or padlocking the coffee can and setting bottles on the front doorknob, like Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory, if that's what you mean. But, like I said, if and when something happens, and I'm the only one who reacts, because all the slack-jawed gawkers are standing around with their thumbs up their asses, I suddenly don't look so "paranoid". |
