Hmmm. I have edited my Avatar to show what made me shocked about 9/11. If anyone feels disturbed by the image, let me know and I will remove it. |

It is because we had neer seen anything like that before and the loss of life was bad. There were many nationallities on the planes. It took the stock markets through the world right down causing a depression and the world had to beware of what to expect. |

My anti-virus programs popped up tell me I had a virus, but won't get rid of it for me. Some kind of weird file that I had to go in and delete manually, damn useless anti-virus programs. |

That's part of the reason. But as I was saying in some other thread, you've got to understand that from about WWII and onward, the US, the UN and the European countries had been throwing their weight around that region without a care in the world. Israel was created from nothing with no regard for the country that already occupied the area. Israel, backed by the Western countries then waged war against Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and the "West Bank". They were happily sitting there minding their own business until Israel was created with the US's backing. I find Israel an absolutely fascinating country to learn about, from its politics to its history, but it has caused a lot of problems in the region and a lot of those problems have been caused by the US's backing of Israel. During the Cold War, the US and the USSR used Arab countries to their advantage by supplying each side with arms to fight against each other. The Iraq-Iran conflict was just one example of that. The US supplied weapons to Iraq (I think), whereas the USSR supplied weapons to Iran. When the war was over and neither side really prevailed, both sides dropped their support for each country and let the area degenerate into civil war. Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviets during the 80's I believe, and was given weapons by the US to fight back. Giving the Afghani's (the Taliban) weapons gave the Taliban the means to take over their country even moreso than they already had, and once the US simply cut and ran from that country, a considerable amount of rage built up. The Gulf War was another big problem, with the US coming in (albeit with a UN mandate) and throwing their weight around like a big hairy gorilla. All of those things, in addition to that regions general disdain for capatilism had built up an insurmountable amount of rage in the region, and had allowed for them to persuade people in the region to pay the US back. It's all fine and dandy for you to think this is a one sided affair, but it's not. What they do in terrorist attacks is fundamentaly wrong, but it's not as if it was done blindly. The US, and the western world in greater detail is partly to blame, whether you like the idea or not.
That's by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The war in Afghanistan was all well and good, on the basic level. They went in there to kill terrorists, fair enough. The fact of the matter is, Iraq was not a terrorist state, it had no WMD's, it posed no threat to any western country (including Israel) and there was no point in being in Iraq. The simple fact of the matter is that 40,000 civilians have been killed in Iraq, and for what reason. Is getting rid of Saddam Hussein really going to offset terror attacks in the future? Of course not. The destruction that the US and their allies have caused in Iraq has simply fostered terrorists, and reasons for terror in the future. It's attitudes like that which gain the hatred of your western countries in the first place. Now, as for you wanting to kill me, and nnot liking the "immature Nebuchanezzar", I suggest you look at your own opinions on this page before throwing out the immature label to someone that obviously has put a lot more thought into this matter than you have. |

No, he'll never be found, so long as there are groups and governments that are willing to put him up, and claim that "we haven't seen him". |
