Has anyone ever heard the duet between Bruce Springsteen and Bono, where they sang 10,000 Maniac's "Because the Night?" That shit rocked!

I've heard it, but I'm not a fan.

Is that the song you had "stuck in your head" yesterday?

Damn, my John Wayne "invincibility" avatar isn't working!

Just a few minutes ago, barely an hour after putting it up, I just damned near broke my leg!

I stepped of the drop at the edge of my driveway (it's slightly raised, over the surrounding yard), and stepped down on the edge of my foot. Torqued the hell out of my ankle and my knee.

Don't feel too bad Kame, you're doing better than what I did in geometry. Oh ho how I miss Algebra. Yeah, I was running in Gym class some years ago, and I came down on the bottom of my ankle, my foot was completely on its side. I thought I broke my foot.

Something must have given you trouble on that quiz, then.

At least you didn't flunk out (unless you're in a district that has 70 as the cutoff, that is).

In my district, 65% or above is passing.

Right now, in fact, i'm working on my Algebra (II) homework. Man, this stuff reeks! I'm gladly starting to understand what a "Domain of the function" is.

It's not that bad. Once you learn all of the theorms and postulates from Geometry, Math is simple.

I took Algebra II before Geometry, and there wasn't any problem.

Some people claim that taking them in that order "helps you understand better", but, as WL is saying, that may not be true.

Currently, it's:

Algebra I
Gemoetry
Algebra II

In other news, I finally got to the bottom of my modem problems. My parents got a new phone, (which is also connected to the modem) and ever since then, it hasn't gone out once. I guess that means that it was the old phone that was causing the problems in the first place.

The second time, it was a review for us, so we would adjust to II, III, and IV.

Oh, I get it.

WL, smash that old phone! Take revenge on it!

Anyway, my math included:

High School (years ago, when the plains were dark with buffalo):

Algebra I
Algebra II
Geometry
Trigonometry/Statistics (each was only 1 semester, and 1/2 a credit)

College (much more recent):

College Algebra (MAC1105, I believe)
Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus (took both in same semester)
Calculus I
Calculus II
Elementary Differential Equations (this semester; I could take Calculus III, but I'll do that next time).

Your descriptions suck serious ass. A description of the math courses would be nice. For instance, in year 12 I took mathematics which covered.

Re-inforcing of algebra - a quick rerun of all the stuff from years 7 to 11

Introductory calculus - integration, differentiation, turning points, sketching of curves, area under a curve

Applications of calculus - exponential calculus, applications to motion, applications to finance, volume under a curve, min/max problems

Trigonometry - triginometric identities, further trigonometry (the basic crap)

series and sequences - basic series, basic sequences.

Applications of series - financial series (superannunation, insurance etc)

Uh...I think that was all...

Gotta get up, I gotta get goin'
I'm gonna see a friend of mine
He's round and he's fuzzy
I love him because
He's just Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear

Lookin' for fun, chasin' some hunny bees
Pooh Bear I know he's out there
Rumblee tumblee, climin' a hunny tree
Fun never ends for us, we're so adventurous
Least every now and again

And when we're alone and there's nobody home
It's nice to be able to count on a friend
Like Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear
Wherever you go, oh won't you take me please
Pooh Bear, I gotta be there

It's me and it's you
Silly old Winnie the Pooh . . .
