I'd try but I actually didn't mind X-Files. Much better than that Supernatural crap that's trying to be the next X-Files. |

Really? Bizarre. That's not to say that there weren't boring episodes. And some of the schmultzy dialogue doozies in the better episodes would be enough to scare any new viewer off. "Men with spartan lives, simple in their creature comforts, if only to allow for the complexities of their passions" - Agent Scully. Tell me, who the fuck talks like that? |

I'm surprised that it's not worse than Family Guy. At least its satirical overtones make up for the inglorious crap that it spouts elsewhere. |

It's a McFarlane cartoon, that's why you hate it. Seth McFarlane is a smug plagiarist, like the creators of According to Jim. |

Lol. I hate that show too. No, the reason why I hate American Dad is because everything is so forced in your face that anything that possibly could be funny, becomes grossly unfunny. The man hears a plate drop, so he pulls out his gun and rambles on in a loud and crude fashion for 5 damn minutes crapping on about the CIA. Yes, we get it, the US government over reacts. We get the God damned message. Everything else? What else is there? There's an alien and a Fish that are so bitingly unoriginal (they're charicatures of their FG counterparts who are much more entertaining) and so fleetingly worth any attention that it becomes a chore to bother to listen. The fish speaks in German and he's a sleaze? Yeah, that's cool. That'd be acceptable if he did anything besides that. He doesn't. The sole joke of the damn fish is that he's a German sleaze, BFD. The stories? They're not bad, but they're certainly nothing to push them over the top from the bottom of the barrel which they currently reside. The bulk are humdrum sitcommish affairs, and the rest are insipid examples of melting pot adventure ideas that could have been conjured up by a two year old with a mental retardation. The characters? Joke machines. Any joke on AD could be given by anyone at any time with the sole exception of the jokes about the CIA by the dad. That's not comedy writing, it's shit comedy writing. What about the animation? Holy hell, forget any detail and just have a bunch of freaking circles on the screen. Nothing to write home about there. Yep, AD is crap, crap, crap, crap and crap. |

Okay, here's my favourites, if anybody cares. 1. Good News Week 2. The Glass House 3. Whose Line is it Anyway? (US) 4. The Simpsons 5. Hey Hey It's Saturday (I miss that show) Honourable mentions to Futurama, Family Guy and The Chaser's War on Everything. Least Favourites 1. The Nanny 2. Just about any singing or dancing show that's plaguing TV these days. 3. Friends 4. Will & Grace 5. McCloud's Daughters |

Let me do a "Neb Rant" about According To Jim: Now I see why this show has succeeded. Everyone either loves or hates it. There is no grey area. Just a few comments on some noted issues: 1) Yeah, I like the show because it is in fact a male fantasy thing - middle aged fat guy with model-babe wife. What guy wouldn't like it? (See Drew Carey, George Lopez, King of Queens) We aren't talking about intelligent cutting edge shows here folks. We are talking about what guys can't have so we live vicariously through this. 2) Who ever said Courtney-Thorne Smith was a comedy actress? I think the comedy comes from her being the straight-person and trying to reason with Belushi's silly macho character (or merely even associating with him let alone being married to him!) 3) Kimberly Williams Paisley. Yes. Hop on board the fantasy wagon. Another model-babe who for some miraculous reason can't seem to get a date for the life of her (until recently when she landed a doctor). 4) Everyone talks about the impossibility of a woman like CTS being with Belushi. This is true for the most part (or entirely). But I'm surprised that there aren't complaints about how ridiculous someone like Andy (who makes Jim Belushi look like a pro athlete) is supposed to be the brother of the two babe women. That is even more unrealistic! Fuck Jim Belushi! Fuck Courtney Thorne-Smith! And Fuck the Fuckin' Writers of the Show! |

I just couldn't take to that show. It mostly made my list because I'm sick of hearing that whiny "Look a Moi" catch phrase all the damn time. |

I didn't think that you'd ever use the word, 'vicariously'.
It sounds like something I'd say. Current favourite words, as if anyone hasn't noticed - hackneyed humdrum cantankerous Edit - Yes I did lose a connection to the site. |

U have to go back to the movie length thing for a second. And I know I'm dealing with alot of.......we'll just listen. Lord Of The Rings is the shittiest movie I have ever seen. It's the only movie where I ACTUALLY fell asleep in the movie theatre. When I woke up I was sure glad I wasn't the only one. Then I seen some nerds clapping behing me, I'm guessing this was there 6th veiwing or something, anywho I ended up having to be dragged out. This was the 3rd LOTR and there were like 3 parts towards the end where they made you think the movie was over and then it another scene would start. I felt like killing myself. Horrible horrible little gay men and there hairless talking cat. And horrible everything. Just horrible. |
