Real quick: Is there anything against a Catholic listening to Christian Rock? Because I think i'm going to start to.

The realms of religion between the two are'nt so distant, true they have different outlooks and views on things, but overall they both follow the Bible, I am Catholic-Christian, how is this possible, well I was born a Catholic, but got reborn Christian, something that goes alittle deep in meaning for me that I won't say right now cause I don't think it's appropiate at the moment, anyways, I believe if you follow and do good, making what yourself better in life and not let the world bring you to their level, then you'll be good, true I listen to music that is'nt so right, but it's not like I'll be like that forever.

Plus you can listen to metal, but what may seem bad to someone else, could be actually good, just listen to what they have to say, but then you have to watch for deceivers, false prophets, or whatever else may seem to drive you into sin, keep away from that and it'll be all good in the end..........alright lemme stop, cause I sound like I'm preaching, for everyone though before you get that thought in your head about what's wrong and what's not do your own view about religion, member, THESE ARE JUST MY THOUGHTS! No one elses.

For anyone that enjoys Christian rock, I'ma make a thread after this for a band that you chould check out, they are heard on TNA if you watch !mpact every now and then and they have a metal side to them but everything that comes from them is positive.

Allright, good. I never understood, though, becoming a "born-again" Christian. I could see, say, if you do some wrong, and want to get back into faith, but if you're a pleasant catholic (like me) and try to follow it as much as you could, that shouldn't really be on the realms of me.

I've been going pretty through, lately, into faith. I've done many things a believer would, i.e praying, reading the bible, etc., except for going to Church, unfortunally. If there's one thing that'll help me, I believe it's that.

In the Bible, I don't know the exact verse but it is said that we all are our own priest, does God love for us to be at his house, of course, it's always good meeting people that are strong in conncetion with faith.

Ha ha, I was just stating that they are looked at differently, sorry if I sounded a bit out there, but I take religion seriously.

As far as being born again Christian, it simply means that you have been saved from the destruction of this world by accepting Jesus as your personal savior, I tell you Whoseline, if you understood what I saw, then you would be a firm believer also, though I do tend to get caught up in the world, like alot of others that disregard faith in general, it's hard, cause the world has so much temptation, but if we find those that can help us deal with the aspects in life and obstacles, then we should be good.

Not saying that it's okay to take things for granted or people for that matter, but you have to better yourself before you can better others, atleast that's what I would like to think.

Well, I already am a strong believer in the Catholic faith. I got my communion, and confirmation, which I guess means i'm "official." But from what i'm hearing, even though Catholics and Christians are similar, they are way off. It seems catholics seem more "laid back" with faith, than Christians.

With that said, personal question -O-:

Trying to peice everything out, with timing of life's obsticales, and such, I have come up with the idea that things are put in front of us, to build our stregnth, and not to hurt us. And if we overcome these obstacles, we will be rewarded in certain ways. Is there validity to that, in your eyes?

Very true in on the outlook between Catholics and Christians, I have seen many Catholics act all good or seem like they are because they go to church but once out, they are totally different, not trying to put Catholics down in anyway, it's just some give it a bad name, it does'nt help with priests doing unGodly things neither.

I firmly believe, that life is a test, I know we heard it from somewhere, or someone, not really knowing where that concept came up with, but it's true, I take it to heart, sure I'm limited in doing stuff physically, but I still do what I can while having a positive view on life, I like and human being, I don't care who you are, unless you are very strong within faith, are going to get subdued and manipulated, maybe picked on, people making themselves feel better because they hang out or do things you don't, ect...but I think as long as you are doing right, then that's all he really wants, I truly do believe that God has a purpose also, and as you mentioned, we overcome certain obstacles, then he will have no problem in helping us in time of need, the problem with some in the world is that they see all this devastation, tornado's, earthquakes, floods, ect....and ask why God did this to them, they did'nt do anything wrong, this maybe true, but it's another test to see how people will act and if they will try and help others around them as well as themselves.

Shit just look at the New Orleans incident, once they got wiped out of alot of things, it was a time to come together, instead it was a time to choose a side, whether you were'nt a certain color, or because of the situation they are in, it's okay for people to go looting on the ones that are in their area, it's sick and twisted, but in the end, God judges everyone.

I think that makes great sense. I'm glad i've been pointed in a semi-correct direction, and as long as i'm under God's roof, i'll take it to heart.

It all depends on what part of the world you live in, there are so many religions, some have their own way of looking at Catholism, as well as Christianism, the person if they wanted to, could find out more.

Catholisism is so freaking stupid. Can someone explain to me where the sense is in the Vatican banning the use of condoms? Please?

I wish I could answer that Nebby, but I am learning as I go along and trying to understand why some do the things they do, don't want to sound like I'm studying humans if it sounds like that, but you never really know what the hell were they were thinking.

That's because they're morons. If they said to me -" well, once the worlds oil runs out, half the world will starve so we're just doing our part to make it faster" - then maybe I'd believe them.

Not during the Summer. We get cold winters, as well as hot summers. It's supposed to start raining, and drop into the low 80's tonight, though.
