The 3/11 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.7 cable rating, which averages out to 736,000 viewers. This is the second week in a row the show has drawn a 0.7 rating and has to be considered a disappointment, especially heading into the Destination X PPV.

Demographics wise, the show only scored a 0.6 rating among males 18-49 and a 0.6 rating among males 18-34. Despite the dip in ratings in the last few weeks, TNA has continued to average a 0.8 rating with an average weekly audience of 939,000.

It'll prolly do better once it's out of it's terrible time slot in Spike TV and on primetime. Once it has its new time slot it'll have better matches and push more then just Sting and the NWA title, maybe they can have more fueds.

As documented this week, ratings for TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV the last two weeks have been down. Although some weeks would see a jump, it wouldn't be very consistant and cause many TNA officials to wonder what was being done wrong.

One theory being tossed around is that TNA might have presented Sting's retirement so well that fans legitimately felt he would never return to the company at all. Of course, others within TNA aren't nervous about the recent string of ratings dropping as two weeks ago iMPACT! went head-to-head with a UFC PPV.

The only problem with blaming UFC for a drop in viewers was that the number didn't bounce back this past week. That was not a good sign for TNA, especially heading into the Destination X PPV less than 24 hours later. It will be very interesting to see what numbers TNA draws over the next four weeks as it will be the final string of shows in the Saturday night timeslot before the move to Thursday night on April 13.

One big test will be coming on April 1 when the show goes head-to-head with WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony that will likely focus more on the inductions of Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero and Mean Gene Okerlund. TNA's final Saturday timeslot on Spike TV will take place on April 8 and then the show will move to Thursday night's at 11pm beginning April 13. Spike TV had originally given TNA a primetime slot on Thursday's at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central, but later decided to restructure the Thursday lineup and have CSI at 8pm, UFC Unleashed at 9pm, Ultimate Fighter at 10pm and TNA iMPACT! at 11pm. Although this change was looked at as a negative by some, it was by no means a blow to TNA as the show would have seen even stronger competition in a 9pm timeslot than they will at 11pm.

I don't think the Sting retirement angle is too realistic. I think most people are expecting Sting to return, but don't intend on watching until he does. It was a mistake to bait the fans with Sting's return and then immediately yank him off television like that, anyway. People want to see Sting. Give them Sting. Don't piss off your audience before you have them hooked!

Also, it'll be interesting to see if Steiner’s presence will cause a ratings spike like Sting's did. Unless I've read wrong, then he'll be on this week's Impact. It'll be interesting to see the rating results when they come out.

Here are more.

WrestlingObserver

Wrestling Observer is reporting that the 3/18 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.9 cable rating. This is up from the 0.7 rating the show drew in the last two weeks. We hope to have more details on this rating soon.

Guess it was'nt such a bad idea bringing in Big Bad Booty Daddy.

The 3/25 edition of TNA iMPACT! scored a final 0.9 cable rating. The show saw an average of 936,000 viewers on Saturday night. This is the same rating the show drew last week. Demographic wise, the show scored a 0.8 in males 18-49 and a 0.7 among males 18-34. We should have the rating for last night's Monday replay very soon.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of a rating the show pulls this Saturday as it will go head-to-head with WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony on the USA Network. TNA is promoting the return of Sting live on iMPACT! this Saturday and are hoping to repeat the same 1.1 rating the show drew the last time he was live at the Impact Zone on Spike.

Well here are the first ratings for there switch to thursdays.

The 4/13 debut episide of TNA iMPACT! on Thursday night drew a final 1.1 cable rating and turned out to be TNA's most watched episode of iMPACT! yet on Spike TV since the show debuted back in October of 2005.

A total of 1.3 million viewers tuned in on Thursday that featured Sting's return to the ring for the first time on national television in over five years, Samoa Joe capturing the X Division Title from Christopher Daniels and the debut of Matt Hyson (the former Spike Dudley) when he rejoined Team 3D as Brother Runt.

Demographic wise, the show drew a 1.4 rating among males 18-49 and a 1.5 among males 13-18. Among all cable networks at the 11pm ET hour, TNA was the top rated show among males in both the 18-49 and 25-34 demographics. Among males 18-34, TNA came in second to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim line-up. For the full "Full Contact Thursday" line-up on Spike TV, UFC Unleashed at 9pm scored a 1.0 rating (1.2 million viewers) and episode #2 of The Ultimate Fighter 3 scored a 1.3 rating (1.7 million viewers, but down from last week's 2.0 rating).

It is very safe to say that both Spike TV and TNA are very pleased with the shows first ever episode on Thursday night and are hoping the trend will continue later this week as TNA heads into the Lockdown PPV on April 23 where all matches will be inside the Six Sides of Steel Cage. We are also hoping to get the Saturday night replay rating for iMPACT! as well very soon. As noted earlier, TNA will no longer replay on Monday night's as it had since October and will instead replay in its previous Saturday night timeslot.

Last night's 4/20 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.9 cable rating with 1 million viewers tuning in according to early reports. This is down from last week's strong 1.1 rating, the highest audience TNA had gotten on Spike TV so far.

Ratings for UFC programming before TNA have yet to become available, so no comparisons for the numbers on Thursday night are known yet. This is pretty much how TNA will judge how well or how well they should have done based on the lead-in rating for The Ultimate Fighter.

The 4/27 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.0 cable rating with an average audience of 1.1 million viewers. The 0.8 rating reported earlier this weekend turned out to be a preliminary number.

This rating was up from last week's 0.9 rating and proved successful in key male demographics. The show scored a strong 1.6 rating in males 18-49 (the most watched audience category) and a 1.2 rating in a separate male demographic.

It should be noted that since TNA's move from Saturday night to Thursday night, the average audience for TNA is up 20% from their old timeslot.

Looking good.

The Wrestling Observer reports that, due to a mathematical error, Spike TV incorrectly reported Thursday's TNA iMPACT! rating as a 1.0.

The show actually posted, as first reported, a 0.8 rating.

Thus, the good news TNA and Spike TV got from the 1.0 rating announcement was to be short-lived; TNA truly only held onto 50% of "The Ultimate Fighter" audience.

Updated demographic and viewership breakdowns were not available at press time.

preliminary numbers are estimates. The report you posted stated the final rating was 1.0. The report I posted stated the 1.0 is incorrect and that 0.8 is the correct final rating.

In yet another correction on last Thursday's TNA iMPACT! rating, the final number for the show was a 0.84. WrestleView reported yesterday that the original number was wrong because Spike TV (not TNA) issued a press release yesterday putting the rating at a 1.0. Apparently Spike made a mathematical error, and the real number was 0.84. This was the original number that was reported last Saturday here on WrestleView.

Check it out, the numbers are up.

Last night's 5/11 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.0 cable rating. This rating is up from last week's 0.9 rating and is stronger number heading into the Sacrifice PPV this Sunday night.

The big thing to note was the strong 1.9 rating TNA scored in the 18-34 year old demographic. On a side note, Ultimate Fighter 3 before TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.7 cable rating, so TNA was able to hold more of the UFC audience this week.

Ratings are at it's best since the April 13 episode.

PWT

The 5/18 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.1 cable rating on Thursday, averaging 1.2 million viewers for the show and up from the 1.0 rating the show drew last week.

Demographic wise, the show drew a 1.2 rating in males 18-49 years old and a 1.4 rating among males 18-34 years old. These are the two demographics that Spike TV targets the most.

It should be noted that after six weeks in the new Thursday night timeslot, iMPACT! is averaging a 1.0 rating and an average of 1.1 million viewers per episode. That is a 23% increase over what TNA averaged on Saturday night before. We hope to get the 5/20 Saturday replay number soon.

Yep, I was one of those viewers. :)

The 5/25 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.2 cable rating, averaging 1.2 million viewers and gaining the highest rating for TNA on Spike TV to date. Demographic wise, the show scored a 1.3 among males 18-49 and a 1.5 rating in males 18-34 (a new demographic record for TNA). We hope to get the Saturday replay rating soon.

The 6/15 edition of TNA iMPACT!, which was pushed to Midnight, drew a final 0.8 cable rating. The two-hour Ultimate Fighter before the show did a 1.5 rating. Although this rating is a drop from last week's 1.0 rating, given the push to Midnight and the competition from the NBA, officials in TNA aren't taking the number as horrible. We hope to get word on the ratings for the two additional replays on Friday and Saturday night.

I think the ratings may be low this week since JJ got the title back.

I wouldn't say that. I think their will be more viewers, because the title is vacant.

The 6/22 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.1 cable rating. This is up from the 0.8 rating the show did last week, which was partially because of the show being bumped an hour later and stiff competition from the NBA Finals. This is also up from the show 2 weeks ago which did a 1.0.

Some are saying that this was the first week Impact did not have the UFC Ultimate Fighter 3 lead-in, so that this number was drawn completely by TNA and therefore very impressive. However, this is incorrect. Last week's episode of Ultimate Fighter 3 was replayed before Impact this week, so TNA did have the ever precious UFC lead-in

In what was probably the most important episode of TNA iMPACT! from a ratings standpoint since the debut back in October of 2005, the 7/6 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.0 cable rating with an average audience of 1.1 million viewers, slightly down from last week's 1.1 rating. Demographic wise, the show scored a 1.0 rating among males 18-49 and a 1.12 among males 18-34. For those unaware, the importance of the show was due to TNA not having a UFC lead-in and instead airings of two new programs. Spike TV was paying very close attention to see how TNA would draw on its own and I think it is safe to say it was a success, but with room for improvement.

The 7/13 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.9 cable rating with a 1.8 share. That number is down from last week's 1.0 rating and down from the strong 1.1 rating three weeks ago. Although not a huge drop, that probably wasn't the number TNA was hoping for heading into the Victory Road PPV this past weekend. We hope to get more information on this rating very soon.

The 8/31 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.8 cable rating with a 1.7 share. That is the same rating the show drew last week.

That's still a strong number but they still need a bigger audience, maybe there biggest ppv of the year will help them out.
