The Man. Any Questions?
I guess this is going to be a weekly column by Dreamer...it doesn't seem to be quite as "guarded" as some of the others on WWE.com.

Diary of Violence - 06/24/06
By Tommy Dreamer
June 24, 2006

"You should always acknowledge and cherish the past, but not live in it". Quote the Dreamer Nevermore

A personal philosophy that really holds true right now. We all want to recapture those amazing ECW moments. We can never relive the past. Your first kiss, your first love, or the first time you stood next to a complete stranger and chanted ECW, ECW, because you were so engulfed with emotion for what you were watching. We all shared together the passion of ECW…. I know new ECW moments will happen, just give us a chance. I know the world is watching with very critical eyes. I get it. We love ECW we want it to be exactly the same. That is gonna be hard, but I am going to die trying.

The premier ECW show was not what we had anticipated (ok, ok the zombie was one of the worst things ever). If it is a consolation prize for some of the Extreme Diehards, I got some brand new scars on my bicep due to a Big Show press slam through a table. It would not be an ECW show without Tommy Dreamer bleeding, beaten, lit on fire or whatever horrible physical fate becomes me. The “Second Premier “was a whole lot better. I have a whole new batch of bruises on my back thanks to being hurled into steel steps. My face and forehead are nice and lumpy, due to the Big Show’s catcher’s mitt size hands punching me. Innovators note (hey Show you are not that tough because I can still type this column). Big Show you need to learn that if you want to be accepted in ECW you have to prove your worth. You have to be accepted by the fans but more importantly you need to become an Extreme Giant. That is gonna be hard, but I am going to die trying.

If you are an ECW fan stick with us, we have overcome much bigger obstacles together. Watch ECW the same way, never know what to anticipate and wait for your moment. I would like to give a Randy Orton a shout out for his ECW moment. The guy popped his shoulder out in the match, had Lita put it back in and continued to wrestle. Randy Orton had passion and got a taste of ECW style match. Randy you are tough. You got my respect. Hell every guy in that match busted their ass.
I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to going to the ECW Arena on Saturday. My greatest moments happened in that building. I do not know who I will be wrestling, that day will be full of emotion.  SOUTH PHILLY I AM COMING HOME. I know I will have a new moment. I am going to be reborn or die trying.

Yes, it's returning.

ECW

On July 15, Tommy Dreamer's Diary of Violence was shut down until further review.

Last week, however, a poll was conducted here on ECW.com asking you, the fans, if you wanted to see the Diary return. The results were overwhelming, as nearly 68 percent of you voted yes.

The fans have spoken, and you will get what you want, as Dreamer's Diary of Violence has been reinstated!

This Saturday, Aug. 5, will mark the return of Dreamer's Diary of Violence. After three weeks on the shelf, you know Dreamer will have a lot to say, so don't miss the return on his Diary.

ECW

For the first time in my life, I am speechless and forever grateful.

I can not believe that over four hundred thousand people voted for the Diary of Violence.

If you voted Yes or no, the fact that you cared is most impressive.

I can some up ECW in one word: Passion.

Passion for ECW is what drives me every day. Internet campaigns have helped ECW on more than one occasion. Whenever ECW would get kicked off TV, banned from a building or whatever obstacle came our way in ECW, our loyal fans helped make ECW continue. It is to you the fans of ECW that I make this pledge: I will continue to fight the fight, as long as you the fans never change from being the very rabid, vocal, hardcore maniacs that you are.

I am putting down all my thoughts from the past couple of censored weeks. I am going to very carefully put them together and next week I will have some very interesting things to say about my opinion of the current state of ECW. If people out there think that I am going to be edited or have a nice politically correct fluff piece next week, I say to you what I say to the person that got my Diary of Violence taken down in the first place: you can go ECF’NW yourself.

ECW

Now, the long awaited column about my opinions on the state of ECW.
Let’s just dive right into the heat shall we.

I have to go back in time for the weeks that I was on suspension.

BIG SHOW WINNING THE ECW TITLE

Nice to see the fans go old school. I have not witnessed a riot in a long time. The fans were pissed and it showed. This is what ECW is about: being true to your heart. To be that emotionally tied into what they are witnessing and throwing their soda, beer and whatever else they can get their hands on, that shows your passion. Kudos to the fan that hit Paul Heyman with the soda, POW right in the kisser! Paul deserved it after what he did to RVD.

BIG SHOW BEING ECW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION

Many things happen in the locker room that fans never know about. Big Show is the biggest man I have ever wrestled. If you ever see him outside of a wrestling ring you truly realize how big he is. Big Show takes up an entire hallway. He kept coming closer to me and blocked my path. I saw something in his eyes that was not right. I thought it was on. Big Show stood right in front of me and said,” I care about being ECW champion” and walked away. Big Show has been wrestling his ass off since winning the ECW Title. I watched his TV matches against Ric Flair, Kane, Undertaker and Sabu and also saw him on the live events. He has a new lease on life. Big Show is doing what he thinks is Extreme and is really trying his best. This is not only my opinion but that of many of the guys that travel together and we have been talking about it. Big Show has been bleeding, getting hit with chairs, going through tables, thumbtacks and whatever else comes his way. I respect that. You have to credit the only person to hold the WWE, WCW and ECW World Championship. For all you trivia buffs. The only tag team to have the honor of holding the WWE, WCW and ECW Tag Team Championship is …that’s right, the Dudley Boys. Another interesting note is that both Big Show and Bubba Ray Dudley both need belt extenders to put the titles around their waist. A little fat humor for you all.

RIC FLAIR IN ECW

Ric continues to bust his ass for the business he loves. He, like my mentor Terry Funk, does things that a normal man their age should not be doing. It is an honor to share a locker room with Ric Flair. I wish Ric could have been in the ECW Arena or the Hammerstein ballroom. Thank you for wrestling in ECW under Extreme rules. I do not know what I can ever do for you. Just name it, and I will be there.

EXTREME RULES

Rules are meant to be broken.

KELLY KELLY

Learn how to dance!
Nice ass though.

CM PUNK DEBUTS IN ECW

Awesome! It is nice to see someone that worked so hard to get where they want to be, finally get there. Keep up the hard work. You have arrived and you did it in the toughest arena to win over. If you do not believe me, just ask Batista.

PAUL HEYMAN

There is not enough room for me to write about Paul Heyman. Paul is crazy. Paul lies. Paul is Paul. It is this simple what Paul thinks is right Paul does. Paul and I would fight back in the day about what was right and wrong about life in ECW. I never thought Paul would kiss me, but at least I know that one of his personalities likes me. Paul will continue to be Paul and I will continue to fight the fight and continue being me.
I would bet my house that Paul was constantly voting online to not bring the Diary of Violence column back. We all know how much Paul Heyman loves to be on the internet and would hate to have someone else stress their opinions on the worldwide web. At least when I talk on the internet, I take full responsibility for my thoughts and actions.

OLD ECW VS NEW ECW

As I always say, you should acknowledge the past but not live in it. The memories of old ECW are forever in my heart and mind. We had a saying back in the day that still holds true… ECW - It’s Not for Everyone. It is this simple: if you do not like what you are seeing on TV, do not watch. If you are a constant negative person and crap on all that is new, take my word as gospel: we will never be able to bring back the past, no one can. We will be able to create new memories and emotions. If you want proof here we go:
1. We had a near riot in Philadelphia(common occurrence back in the day)
2. Ric Flair comes to ECW (remember Arn Anderson coming to the ECW arena?)
3. A new wrestler excites a crowd in his debut (I would see it all the time in the ECW Arena. Lance Storm, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, RVD, CM Punk and countless others)
4. Any outsider is hated. (Maybe Test should talk to Jerry Lawler about ECW)
5. Sandman still drinks. Sabu is still Homicidal, Suicidal and Genocidal. Balls is still a caveman. And Tommy Dreamer is still getting his fat ass kicked fighting for ECW.

An ECW fan is not like a Raw or SmackDown fan.
An ECW fan is more passionate about their feelings.
That is why we are more vocal.
That is why we are rowdier.
That is why we take things that we see on TV personal.
That is why we are not afraid to be different!
That is why we are ECW fans.
Watch with an objective mind and keep being an ECW fan.
We can never let the suits keep us down.
Keep fighting the fight. A new revolution is beginning. I will be at the front line taking all the hits, so everyone can continue making ECW the driving force that I know it always should be.

Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer is the shit, I mark out for him any day, ever since his "original" ECW days.

Diary of Violence - 8/19/06
By Tommy Dreamer
August 19, 2006

People will always ask me if I was a fan of wrestling growing up. I usually correct them and say I still am a fan. I always wanted to be a professional wrestler. I never want to be a bitter person that hates the business that actually made them. If you are not a fan of the business you are in, get out.

I have watched every SummerSlam. I am always happy when a new WWE Superstar has their first big pay-per-view match. If one person deserves to perform on the great summer classic it truly is SABU. In 1993, I remember Tazz and I sitting in Paul Heyman’s living room; he put a tape in and I could not believe what I was watching. Sabu truly is a unique wrestler. When I first saw him I could not believe my eyes. This scarred up freak was doing moonsaults to the floor onto a table. He would dive into barbed wire. Sabu has sacrificed his body for the sport he loves. This is his biggest match of his career. It will be watched by the largest audience he has ever performed in front of. I feel that everyone has to earn what they get in life. Sabu deserves to be witnessed by the world as the amazing performer that he is.

I have watched some of Sabu’s greatest battles live. I have seen the audience gasp with horror at what was happening to him in the ring. I watched him break his neck, get impaled on a table leg, crash and burn on many dives to the floor. I personally held his arm tight, as we were trying to stitch and glue his arm together after a barbed wire match with Terry Funk (If you are a fan I really recommend WWE 24/7. You can go back and watch some of the magical moments that I was blessed to be a part of during the original ECW). Sabu has overcome many obstacles to get where he is at today. I am proud to know him and will sit back and be a fan and enjoy the man who defies logic and gravity. I am really looking forward to hearing one thing on Sunday: THE WINNER OF THIS BOUT AND NEW ECW CHAMPION, SABU!

Okay, okay, I admit it…I was wrong with my prediction last week of Sabu winning the ECW World Title at SummerSlam, but I am still very proud of his recent accomplishments in ECW. Sabu still on a constant basis goes out there and sacrifices his body to entertain you, the fans of ECW. If you never have seen him wrestle in person, you should. Sabu is truly one of the most unique performers out there.

Another unique performer is Ric Flair. How much blood has Ric bled for our business? I really enjoyed Ric and Mick Foley’s I Quit Match at SummerSlam. Ric, you are Hardcore. I personally would love to see you vs. The American Dream Dusty Rhodes one more time or Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk. Or my own personal fantasy match, Ric Flair and Triple H vs. Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer…mentor and their students versus each other. Do I smell ECW One Night Stand 3, Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC?

Speaking of historic ECW venues, I can not wait to return to the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. this Monday. That building has had wrestling for years, but once ECW came in and raised the bar the fans have not been the same. The building has always hosted some of the better ECW shows and this will be no different.

Now…sports fans have waited several years, sometimes decades, for their teams to win the big one. We have all witnessed some magical moments in sports like The Miracle on Ice, when the United States hockey team won the gold medal in the 1980 Olympics. The New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994 for the first time in 50 years. The Red Sox finally beat the curse and win the World Series in 2004. Last year, the White Sox won the World Series and Bill Cowher finally won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers. On 8/22/06 history occurred again, as the headlines of the newspaper read: Dreamer Wins!!! Dreamer Wins!!!

Well, maybe it did not gain national press, but it still felt damn good. I went to the history book, and for the record, the last time I won a match on ECW TV was January 7, 2001. It was a historic encounter, an I Quit match at the Hammerstein Ballroom with Christopher W. Anderson (you can check it out on WWE 24/7. There is my corporate suit shout out. You guys are good for some things). I actually thought my arm was either bleeding or injured when I saw referee Mike Posey come over and raise my arm. I did not think my shoulder was able to bend that way (haha).

Enough joking…it did feel great. I am still not a person who cares about winning or losing; I just love to go out there and kick some ass. As long as I have a good match and the crowd enjoys it that is what I am all about. I usually get a standing ovation after I lose anyway, and that is a greater feeling than actually winning. That is called respect and the fans always give it to me and that is why I keep fighting the fight.

I would like to give thanks to the Sandman, who got drunk in celebration after the match. Okay, he was drunk during the match but who is counting? I guess my new good luck charm is the Torrie Wilson. I should have tagged with her years ago. Every fan should check Torrie out in FHM magazine, she looks great (she really has a great pair of … eyes, what do you think I was talking about, get your minds out of the gutter).

In closing I would like to say move over Goldberg’s streak, a new era in sports entertainment has begun, Dreamer starts 1-0.

Keep Fighting the Fight

Some of the greater moments in life occur when you don’t even know it. I am absolutely numb. I cannot believe the full circle of events of several life changing moments that keep happening.

Rob Van Dam and I debuted in WWE in Atlanta, Ga. together in 2001. I remember flying from Atlanta back to New York reflecting on what happened on that historic Monday Night RAW. I realized that the moment RVD and I hopped over the guard rail and shocked the world, ECW was over. In my heart I wanted my old life back and longed for ECW, but I knew ECW was over and it gave me some much needed closure. That specific night was what I totally had envisioned ECW being if it had all the wheels in motion and never went out of business. The perfect setting, a completely sold out 30,000 seat building chanting "ECW" in a WCW-based town on WWE television. I always knew ECW could have taken over the world if we were able to just hang in there. Atlanta proved it to me but I had to move on with my life.

I now am flying back to Atlanta with the feeling of "Holy sh*t, ECW just got picked up by the Sci Fi Network." We are the No. 1 rated show on the network; ECW has been the highest rated program on Tuesday nights. I always tap my fist to my heart when I wrestle to acknowledge the ECW fans. Your chanting has always filled the hole that has been in my heart for so long. You, the fans, have brought ECW back and I thank you. I missed ECW every day of my life.

ECW not only changed the wrestling industry, it changed people's lives. The old ECW fans saw some of the greatest stuff and bonded together on a constant basis. The new ECW is having the same effect. I feel the new energy during shows. The wrestlers (sorry, I still have a hard time calling myself an Extremist) of ECW have a new sense of purpose in life. I cannot wait to fly home from Atlanta and reflect on what happened on ECW on Sci Fi. If someone would have asked me four months ago about ECW’s future, I would have thought, "Oh what could have been?" Now, I think the future is here and let us change the face of the industry again.

I really am trying to express myself when I say from the bottom of my heart, I will never forget what you, the ECW fan, has done for me.

Thanks for giving an ECW Original a second shot in life.

Diary of Violence - 9/9/06
By Tommy Dreamer
September 9, 2006

So much can happen in a week so here we go…

ECW returned to Spartanburg, S.C. in the Memorial Arena this past week. I truly enjoy going to buildings that are deep in wrestling history; this particular building used to be the old stomping grounds to the old Mid-Atlantic territory. Arn Anderson told me that he debuted on television for Jim Crockett Promotions in that building. The atmosphere was hot. All the ECW guys feed off that energy. Special thanks to a little girl in attendance that made me a sign – I gave her my shirt. Then, another fan handed me a shirt that said Leprechauns stole my ’stache. So, I got a memento and a free shirt all in one day. I am the type of person that saves everything – I still have a picture on my refrigerator that my niece painted for me when she was four; she is ten now.

ECW then went to Greenwood, S.C. for another exciting show, then on to Atlanta for the next two days. I wrote in last week’s “Dairy of Violence” about reflecting on what happened on this week’s ECW television show. Personally, I hated the fact that I was not wrestling. I cannot stand riding the pine. I understand that there are only so many minutes on the show, but anything is better than a Shannon Moore or Rene Dupree appearance.

This week, I got to sit back and watch as a fan. I loved seeing RVD and Sabu tag again. Rob and Sabu have great chemistry as a tag team; they are always innovative. I’ve got to give it to Test and Mike Knox – they really had a good match. Test has really upped his game. I guess the battles that we have been having have made him a little hardcore, but he is still an a**hole. Steven Richards and Balls had a good match. Sandman wrecking the classroom was nothing that I have not seen with Sandman and I in bars. I enjoyed Ariel’s lap dance on Joey Styles and DX going extreme was cool.

Now is where the fun begins. I had four hours of sleep and when I arrived home, I got the lovely surprise of a huge tree lying in front of my house. I now have a new most hated opponent: Hurricane Ernesto along with his manager, Mother Nature. It pales in comparison to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. It is just an inconvenience to me, but what a mess. That being said, I would like to tell everyone about my new diet. It consists of not eating food, since I had to clean out a refrigerator and freezer of rotted food. It smells worse than CM Punk’s kick pads or even Balls Mahoney after a match (haha). I had no power in my house for six days. I also have a tree stump that is four feet off the ground and a six-foot hole. At least my insurance company told me that I have to pay for it and they do not handle that. Thank you, corporate suits – go EC-F’N-W yourself. Enough whining about me; I will continue fighting the fight no matter what comes my way.

ECW in MSG. I never thought this would happen. I am really happy that some ECW wrestlers will have the opportunity to perform at the World’s Most Famous Arena. I think everyone should experience it. I have been to so many matches at MSG – probably more than any other WWE Superstar. More importantly, we should never forget the date of September 11th. It proves how strong New York City and our nation really are. I look forward to being in NYC on that day. I hope it is as emotional for everyone as it will be me.

Next week, I will talk in depth about a person who was a huge ECW fan and almost came to ECW. This person is a huge star in WWE and has helped changed the business in their own special way. Again, I will reveal next week who this person is and just how close they came to ECW. Got any guesses? Send them to WWE.com.

Thanks for reading.

Diary of Violence - 9/15/06
By Tommy Dreamer
September 15, 2006

The entire buzz this past week was about MSG. It felt amazing and was a really good show. You can read more about it on the ECW.com homepage. I was very happy for Sandman, Balls Mahoney and CM Punk. Punk had a really good match and the ECW fans of NYC let him know it.

In my column last week, I left with a hardcore cliffhanger. Many fans as well as wrestlers came up to me and asked who the huge WWE Superstar is that wanted to be in ECW? I have to let you hang on for a couple of more seconds. I also asked for the fans to email WWE.com with their answers. I was told by the suits that it took time to do that and you the fan, were not able to do that. I guess that is why Vince McMahon thinks that this website sucks. I got to give props to Michael Cole for firing back to Vince. Hey, Cole, let me know what Vince’s ass cheeks taste like in a couple of weeks. I thought I was the only person to piss off the boss on this website.

Actually, I give this website a lot of credit at times. Does anyone think that any player on the New York Yankees gets to voice their displeasures about George Steinbrenner on their website? I do feel that this website has made great strides in reporting news. If Michael Cole says it is going to get better, then I believe him. If it doesn’t, then we all know who to blame. Feel the pressure, Michael Cole. Feel the pressure.

I have been in ECW since the beginning. I know a lot of things that have never been made public. I asked the person for permission if I could talk about how close they came to joining ECW. The person who was a huge ECW fan and came very close to joining was…Trish Stratus.

Trish was trying to break into the wrestling industry and really wanted to join ECW, but she did not know how to contact anyone. She met former Extremist Raven at a comic book convention and they got to talking. Raven told her that he would speak to Paul Heyman and pass her pictures to Tazz or me. At the time, Raven was battling his personal demons and basically left the pictures and forgot about her. This probably saved Trish a neckache because I would have eventually piledrove her in some ECW ring. (I did it to all the girls that came to ECW.) I think Trish in ECW would have been great. That is for the fantasy gamers now, but it proves how things could have been, if Raven only showed her pictures. I still hate Raven, nevermore.

I felt the timely issues to talk about Trish since her last match is this Sunday at Unforgiven. A lot of wrestlers retire only to come back. By the time you finish reading this, Terry Funk will have retired and come back already. Sometimes stipulations in matches are made to have a wrestler retire only to come back later (insert Ric Flair here ha ha). Neither is the case here. I spoke to Trish in depth on Monday at MSG. Trish is leaving. Trish will no longer be on the active WWE roster. Trish was offered a contract extension and declined it. Trish wants to spend some time for herself.

Trish is an amazing performer. She worked hard in the ring to be where she is today. I was honored to be her valet (also, I was the ugliest valet in wrestling history) in Philadelphia one night on RAW. As a person, I am very happy to know her and as a fellow wrestler, she has my respect. I will never forget the time Trish was preparing for her Hardcore Match with Victoria. Trish had the nastiest bruises on her arms and face. She also was suffering from a leg injury; she was stretching as well as limping. I told Trish, “Damn, they talk about me? You’re Hardcore!” That night, she looked at me with that captivating smile and said, “Thanks. Coming from you, that means a lot,” and she gave me a hug. Her music hit and all her pain went away for the moment.

Trish redefined women’s wrestling. She brought sex appeal, charisma and brought amazing athletic ability to the ring. In my opinion, Trish truly is what a WWE Diva should be. I do not know what the future holds for Ms. Stratus - if it is as a wife, in motherhood, as an actress or if she wrestles somewhere else. I know Trish Stratus will be a success at whatever she does. I am jealous of your perfect storybook ending, Trish. You are leaving on a Pay-Per-View in your hometown. Win or lose, it is a match I will definitely be watching. Thanks for the memories, Trish.

Diary of Violence - 9/23/06

I was part of a tryout in Ottawa, Canada for aspiring sports-entertainers. WWE had close to 15,000 applications and 25 people were chosen. The chosen 25 basically had a tryout in front of WWE scouts, as well as King Booker, Brian Kendrick and me. I really enjoy seeing the passion and determination in some of their faces. The ones that want it will do whatever it takes to get to WWE.

The hopefuls had to cut promos, then do squats, run stairs, then wrestle. This process of separating the men from the boys is grueling, but most of the guys in WWE did the same thing. Since the end of wrestling territories, most guys have to master their craft working on the independent circuit. You do it because you love the business and want to make it. The pay is usually bad and the hours in the car are long. Every wrestler does this to pay his dues (except for Test who’s third match was against the Rock; Test is one lucky, non-dues-paying jobber to be where he is at today). There is a lot of untapped talent out on the independent scene. Congrats to the 25 that made it. This is just another accomplishment on your journey.

I do not have much to talk about this week. So I am going to blatantly steal a concept from former ECW wrestler and my good friend, Lance Storm. Lance stole this concept from Oprah, so it is more like borrowing then stealing. When Lance was on the road in ECW or WWE, he would always have a book by his side. He would finish a book in two days. I have some brain damage and cannot read for long periods of time so it takes me a while to read a book. I do not know what books he reads, so go to his website and take a look. I, on the other hand, read wrestling books.

I recently picked up a copy of "King of the Ring: the Harley Race Story." I feel it is necessary for any ECW/WWE fan or competitor to read about the pioneers of our business. Some WWE fans may just remember Harley Race as a WWE Hall of Famer or the guy Randy Orton spit in the face of. I remember him as a wrestler that I hated and I wanted to see him lose his NWA title to anyone. I loved when Ric Flair beat him in the cage at Starrcade. His battles with Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Tommy Rich and Mr. Wrestling 2 always had me at the edge of my seat.

Harley later moved on to WWE and was dubbed the King. His book talks about many inside things that happen in this business - which I found both truthful and surprising. I never heard some of the stories; you know, Harley has something in common with DX - he told Vince McMahon to suck it. If you want to know the full story, you got to get the book. Ric Flair said that Harley Race was the toughest guy he ever wrestled, and that is quite a statement. So if you are a fan of this business, I recommend this book. If you are not a fan, then why are you reading this website anyway, jobber?

ECW is on the road again this week. You can check out where we will be on the ECW live events page. It will be surreal when we go to Pine Bluff, Ark. on Sept. 24. This was the place of the last “original" ECW show. I never thought we would be back, but I guarantee we will tear it up when we go back. Especially because some new Extremists will be making their debuts this weekend.

Take care. Keep fighting the fight.

This past week, two moments helped define what I have been preaching all along about what ECW was and always should be.

1. Everyone was buzzing about the fact that I used a prosthetic leg during my Extreme Rules Match against Test. This is nothing new for ECW; the fans were ECW. The fan’s passion for ECW is why it came back. Is anyone calling for a return of WCW? I think not, Eric Bischoff. You want to shoot on ECW? Well, there is your receipt…bitch!

Getting back to the fans, I have been given many things by ECW fans during my matches (stop signs, eggs, chairs, a blueberry pie, a switch blade, soda, beer, vodka, chewing tobacoo, tampons, condoms belts, a rubber penis, a prosthetic arm and many more). I had an ECW original concept match. The Extremist fans brought their weapons to the ECW Arena and Brian Lee and I beat the crap out of each other with them. That is right, we encouraged the fans to bring weapons to a show. I do not think that would fly in the new ECW. Anyway, the fans are why the ECW was created. Paul Heyman wanted to show the world that an alternative to the cartoon-like characters that WCW and WWE were putting on at the time.

The bottom line: if you come to an ECW live event, you will know that a group of guys will bust their asses to make you enjoy your event. If you want to read more about the night in Pine Bluff, Ark., go to ECW.com.

2. Hardcore Holly. If ever a match or person signified ECW, it was RVD and Hardcore Holly on ECW on Sci Fi. I have seen this match on a couple of ECW live events and these two guys really tear it up and usually have the match of the night. Their match on Sci Fi really took it up a notch. Hardcore ripped open his back suplexing RVD from the ring to the floor through a table. Hardcore was asked during the commercial break to stop the match by WWE officials and by the WWE doctor; Hardcore refused.

Holly has always had my respect, but he really earned his pay that night. The match reminded me of when RVD was wrestling Jerry Lynn and Jerry fell off the top rope, busting open his face. The two guys went on to have classic matches and cemented their ECW legendary status. The crowd started to realize that they were witnessing something special and both guys took it to the next level.

Hardcore Holly took amazing punishment and kept on coming back. Holly can wrestle, brawl, be innovative in his wrestling style and use chairs, tables and whatever else he comes across in the ring. I look forward to seeing what happens from here with Hardcore Holly. We all know he is tough but he showed what many ECW guys have done in the past and present. Hardcore Holly showed his passion for ECW and, as always, the ECW faithful showed their respect for his hard work.

Thanks for working your ass off. You are definitely Hardcore.

If anyone wants to know what it is like to be a professional wrestler, I will let you know my upcoming schedule.

I have a flight at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, which basically means I will get up at 4:30 and I will drive to the airport which takes about an hour. Then, I’ll fly six hours to Phoenix where I will wait for Sandman to arrive (about another hour after I get there). The both of us will then drive 110 miles to Tucson for an autograph session early in the day. We will both wrestle that night in Tucson and after the show, we’ll drive 110 miles back to Phoenix, sleep and get up early go to the gym and then do a show in Phoenix on Sunday.

Sunday night I will fly to Los Angeles. I land about 11:00 p.m. and will find a hotel to sleep in and then get up early and go to the gym, just in time to make my way to Raw/SmackDown taping at the Staples Center. After the show, I’ll then board a plane and fly to Japan. I land in Japan Tuesday evening and endure a two-hour bus ride from the airport to the hotel, then sleep and try to find a gym before competing on both Wednesday and Thursday in Japan.

On Friday, I fly from Japan to Hawaii; once I land, it is straight to the hotel to drop my bags off, then back on a bus to the arena. On Saturday, I get to fly from Hawaii to Chicago. So, I get in on Sunday then fly from Chicago to St. Louis; I will wrestle on Tuesday in St.Louis.

I have the first flight out next Wednesday morning and I arrive back in New York around noon. Of course, I will then drive from the airport to my house and finally be back home around 3:30 in the afternoon. I will be back on the road for an ECW live event on Friday, then I will be on the road for the following four days, returning on Halloween. I do not know how many hours of travel that is. I do not know how many miles I will travel. But, I have calculated that I will be home for approximately eight days in the month of October. Also, on Oct. 28, I will celebrate my first-ever match. I would never think that I would still be wrestling on that date. Look out, Racine, Wisconsin – I will be going nuts.

Celebreality Phase 3 Hogaduce
Back to the travel, if anyone thinks this schedule is demanding, it is. If anyone thinks I will be extremely exhausted, I will be. If anyone thinks I would give this up, you are out of your mind. I would not change a thing. This is the business I love. I SACRIFICE MY HEART, BODY AND SOUL, AND TIME WITH MY FAMILY AND EVERYTHING I’VE GOT FOR YOU, THE ECW FAN.

Thanks for supporting me and my extreme quest for all these years.

Editorial note: The Diary of Violence will return in two weeks following ECW’s tour of Japan. Check back on Oct. 28 for the next installment of Dreamer’s Diary.

From last week.

The new ECW is about three months old and I will give my quarterly review of who I feel is the most improved in ECW. (ECW originals do not count, if so I would give it to Sabu.)

I hate to admit it, but Test has to be the most improved wrestler in ECW. Night after night, he continues to have some of the best matches. The match he and Rob Van Dam had on ECW on Sci Fi was great. I remember the first time I saw Test he was this jacked up guy with a mullet debut in WWE. I said to myself, "what a typical WWE wrestler." During that time period, a lot of guys entered sports-entertainment based on height and size. That would usually compensate for their lack of in-ring skills. Test was Motley Crue’s bodyguard before wrestling and he had very little experience.

Test was part of a tag team with Albert and had Trish Stratus as their manager. I believe the team was called T & A. - it is funny how people evolve; all three went on to bigger and better things. Test broke his neck and was out of the WWE for some time. He could have rested on his claims to fame (his two biggest being: 1) almost marrying Stephanie McMahon, and 2) dating Stacey Keibler). Instead, he got himself in better shape and really stepped up his in-ring skills. Now, he faces a different ECW guy every night and really tears the roof of the place. Test also does a great job of letting the crowds know his real personality. It is very easy to hate Test. Test is arrogant, conceited, rich and flaunts it.

Test has quickly become a major player in ECW and for that I respect him. I love beating the crap out of Test whenever I get the chance. He already has three scars on his body from our matches (I hold them as medals of honor). Test has all the tools to be a champion on any brand - RAW, Smackdown, or ECW. Test vs. John Cena. Test vs. King Booker or Batista. Test, if you are reading this, please stay in ECW. I really want to make your face bleed and love trying.

The Hardcore Legend Mick Foley always has a good Test story and we would always laugh about it. Test is having the last laugh (at my expense because I have not pinned him yet… I hope this is not another Dreamer vs. Raven saga). I predict - and anyone that knows what I did in ECW knows how much this pains me to say - but Test will continue his quest to become the most dominating person in ECW.
