Samoa Joe not WWE bound

WO

X Division Champion Samoa Joe appeared on the Mancow radio show earlier today. Jim Jesus, Manco's sidekick on the program, told Joe that it was only a matter of time before he would go to WWE. Joe said that remains to be seen and that he isn't a Vince McMahon type of wrestler. Mancow responded with, "You mean you're a hetrosexual?" When a caller came on the show, who appeared to be gay, he said Joe's body was disgusting and Joe responded with, "I'm me." Another woman caller said she was a big fan and Joe plugged ROH's Chicago show.

Good thing Joe is nice in person, cause if someone called me my body disgusting, I think that person will get slapped or put down with words that they won't call anyone that name again or any type of negative name.

People are ignorant sometimes.

Real hard words, 'Your body is disgusting Samoa Joe'. Good to see that Joe was the bigger guy, no pun intended. He's better off staying in TNA.

Umaga isn't that great of an alternative.

Owell. WWE has Umaga.

This time next year Joe will still be a huge name in wrestling. Umaga will most likely be gone.

I would prefer if Joe doesn't go to WWE. His style isn't the WWE style, and he could go a long way towards helping a promotion rise up to WWE's level.

Yes I was being sarcastic when I said owell WWE has Umaga. I mean I like Umaga but I think Samoa Joe is better.

But Samoa Joe is as great as TNA makes him out to be. Someone beat him already. Its getting tiring.

From what I heard they're trying to mimic his run in ROH.

Do the TNA fans remind you of a retard center?

They try too hard to be the new ECW crowd, only they aren't. ECW was ever bit a part of the shows as the wrestlers were. TNA fans just chant "Tee-En-Ay" when they shouldn't, "This is awesome" at any spot, and fail to understand that they are suppose to boo the heels even if they do like them.

The Man. Any Questions?
Hm. Samoa Joe will have to go to WWE, at some point, if he wants to be as big as he can be.

WWE is the major league, period. TNA is strictly small-time, no matter how much their fans might bleat to the contrary.

Face it: I know who Joe is, you know who Joe is, and, indeed, the wrestleheads everywhere on the internet, the fans who like wrestling enough to look up everyone everywhere know who Joe is.
But, other than hardcore fans, who else knows Samoa Joe? Nobody. Want proof? Go down the street, and ask some random guy, "Hey, do you know who Batista is?". If he's never seen wrestling, he'll say, "Yeah, isn't that a wrestler?". He recognizes the name.
Now, ask the same guy, "Do you know who Samoa Joe is?". He'll say, "Isn't that a character on a MadTV sketch?". He does NOT recognize the name.

See the point? WWE is a huge hype machine, and its performers are seen everywhere, all over the world. It has worldwide exposure, and its own mass-media campaigns. TNA does not.

The average guy who is NOT a wrestling fan, still knows a little something about WWE. Non-wrestling fans don't even know TNA exists, for the most part.

If Joe ever wants to acheive that worldwide fame, and be the biggest star he can be, he MUST go to WWE, eventually.

The WWE has no idea how to use Joe, I bet he'd never have a title shot at WWE. He'd probably be jobbing on HeAT. Joe is perfect in TNA.

He did, but that's about as far as he's gone, with the "New" Pitbulls, I think he might be a tag champion but as if that divison means anything in WWE.

If Joe did come to WWE, I think he would do good for a bit, maybe even win the IC or US title, depending on the show they would put him on, but even if he did come, he would have to start out in OVW or DSW, for whatever reason, WWE just does'nt feel that they can bring in a character without making it seem like they brought them up as their own, anyone that has came from ROH or TNA has had to compete in one of those promotions, there are still some that are down there simply cause they (creative) have to have some sort of gimmick for them, they can't just come in and be a "wrestler".

I just thik Joe is alot better and has a better oppurtunity at where he's at then he'll ever get if he was in WWE, true it's a well known promotion but they have been around for over 20 years with tv outlets that we have seen them gone threw like when they had Superstars Of Wrestling on saturday mornings, I know the old schoolers will remember that, I just wish I remembered what channel it was on around here.

Also I think it was the same one that had SDME which is back on NBC, then they had Raw on USA, when that deal fell threw, they moved to TNN which basically used ECW to see if wrestling would be a good idea for the channel itself, TNN of course got changed to Spike, but still is the same channel, then after that, they went back to USA and are now back doing SDME which if you include Smackdown on UPN, that's alot of exposure for people to witness the product, hell someone could be flipping through the channels one night, not being a wrestling fan at all and then say on the 15th of July, they happen to see WWE, now that right there gives that person the choice to see what it is or just keep changing it, even some though that do watch wrestling in general would'nt be interested in watching it and stick to TNA or one of the Indy brands just cause they have that opinion of how WWE is'nt what wrestling should be.

We do need the WWE whether fans realize it or not, because if it is'nt for the things they are portraying themselves with the certain storylines they have, with the many firings and whatnot, or whatever else that comes to mind, then we would'nt see promotions like ROH or TNA to try and make them stand out, it's still like I said before, I think they all can learn something from one another but that's what makes them what they are.

TNA has'nt had as much success as WWE cause it's only been around a good solid 4 years and they had to deal with their own way of being noticed, from weekly ppvs, to being on FSN, then finally on Spike. The timeslot does'nt help unless you are not in school or just want to watch something besides WWE, however you see it, they just don't have the star power that WWE has, many even presume it out to be another WCW, Jarrett does'nt help this matter out anymore, with only 3 main titles which is plenty for a company, the main one just does'nt ever have a wrestler they can build up in making them standout from the others, which is what a company should focus on, or atleast somewhat, the X-division and tag division is'nt so bad but why have a main belt if the person holding it 90% of the time is part owner of the company, do we see Vinny Mac holding his belt all the time, well HHH is basically a McMahon but that's besides the point, HHH atleast helps get other wrestlers over in the biggest stage of all for the past 3 years he's done so, did he need to, no, but again that is what seperates the companies main guys.

ROH on the other hand has actually made stars and not worry about a particular gimmick as I mentioned in another thread or if they are a certain size, what you see is what you get in the ring and for us the fan, over this past year, I've grown alot of respect for smaller promotions like ROH and even OVW before WWE took over the library (like they don't have enough from WCW or ECW) cause they brought back the feeling that I've been craving for a while in wanting to see matches that are'nt do to a storyline that is no need to, or leaving some good wrestlers on a stupid webshow while they sit there and whore out these so called divas for their version of soft porn, or whatever antics they have for them, that crap needs to stay off the tv and leave the wrestling shows to the actual wrestlers, valets are one thing and I as well as the next man don't mind seeing cuties and whatnot but pointless segments just to waste time is ridiculous, I'd prefer a squash match over things that make no sense putting on any of the shows in Raw or SD!.

On and on I can go about this but there is no need cause it just does'nt do any good, my finger will find the change button on my remote one day more than it has'nt lately.

As far as I'm concerned, Joe needs to stay in TNA. Joe's one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, and if he's brought to the WWE, he'll be wrestling like Rob Conway.

I personally perfer Samoa Joe to stay in TNA. He's getting pushed right now and doesn't need the over expousure that the WWE would give him. Samoa Joe is a pure athelete, not built for the gimicky style of WWE.

I guess it doesnt really matter since good ol Vinnie Mac will be buying TNA in a few years anyway.

I don't think he'll gain much from it. TNA is just a small time promotion. He's to busy trying to get his hands on that Japanese promotion anyway.
