I've been a fan of Sting's since the orginal NWA days, it's to bad WWE would'nt put out any dvds from the ones that are'nt or ever was in WWE.

TNA has finished filming for the Sting dvd and it will be out later on this year, I can't wait.

Along with this, TNA has more releases on the way also.

FILMING COMPLETE FOR “ STING: RETURN OF AN ICON” DVD
A preview of the first Sting DVD release in nearly a decade

TNA Wrestling is proud to announce that filming has been completed for the upcoming October DVD release of “Sting: Return Of An Icon”.

TNA camera crews were at Sting’s home in California this past week for a two-day shoot, which saw the wrestling legend record several hours of footage about his life and career.

During the shoot, Sting gave his candid comments on a wide variety of subjects, including his early years in the sport, the rise and fall of WCW, religion in his life, his family, coming to TNA, the future of the business and so much more! Sting also offers candid comments on such names as Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and many more of the personalities he’s worked with.

In addition, the wrestling legend offered TNA cameras a rare look into his vast collection of wrestling memorabilia, including never-before-seen photos and ring gear he has worn over his career.

“The Sting release is probably the most important DVD project I’ve ever been involved in, both personally and professionally,” said Bill Banks, who produces TNA’s line of home videos. “When we (Banks and fellow producer Simon Edwards) sat down with Sting to discuss the project, we wanted to make it special. Our competitor may own the footage of Sting’s history inside the ring, so we thought it was important to give the fans something they can’t – the man behind the facepaint. We want this to be Sting’s lasting legacy to all the fans that supported him over the years, and I’m confident everyone will enjoy it.”

“Sting: Return Of An Icon” is the first Sting DVD release in nearly a decade and is a comprehensive look at the career of the wrestling legend from the man himself. The DVD will include two major parts – the first being an extensive look back at his career, the second being his return to TNA.

Included on the four-hour DVD will be the following:

- In-depth interviews with Steve Borden from his home in California, including such topics as:

Steve Borden growing up
How he got into wrestling
The hardships early in his career
His thoughts on being a catalyst of the wrestling boom of the 1990s
Making the transition from the “colorful” Sting to the darker Sting
His candid thoughts on the downfall of WCW
Why he stepped away from wrestling after WCW
Why he ultimately chose to return to wrestling for TNA
Positive and negative ways wrestling has changed
Some of the craziest moments from his career
His personal favorite matches and moments
Advice to those that want to get into wrestling
Comparing the Sting of today to the Sting that first entered the ring
Maintaining a family with a career in wrestling
Finding religion in his life and being saved
His thoughts on the future of professional wrestling
What he would like to do once he finally hangs up the boots
And much, much more

“Sting: Return Of An Icon” DVD also includes:

- A complete chronicle of Sting’s return to TNA Wrestling, including the following complete and uncut matches:

“Sting: Return Of An Icon” will hit stores in October. In September, TNAwrestling.com will debut an online area previewing the DVD and featuring exclusive video from the release. Upcoming TNA DVD releases include:

April’s “Lockdown” on August 8

How come they keep on making dvd's of guys who haven't been in the company that long? Samoa Joe hasn't even been there a year and they already have the best of?

Give it some time before you go and make a dvd.

The Man. Any Questions?
Unfortunately, you'll only get TNA stuff, since the WCW video library is owned by Vince.

I, too, have wished WWE would get off its ass and put out a Sting DVD.

At least this is SOMETHING for Sting fans, though.
