8/3/06

- Jeremy Borash announced backstage that Sting will have Christian Cage in his corner for the match against Jeff Jarrett at the PPV. This brought out Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett, who complained about collusion between Christian and Jim Cornette. Jarrett complained that he wanted to talk to either Christian or Cornette. Slick Johnson came out and told them that there would be a "mandatory meeting" for them to attend with Cornette. Steiner punched out Johnson.

- LAX defeated Jerrelle Clark & Chasyn Rance after a double pin. Christopher Daniels & AJ Styles appeared on the screens. AJ Styles said he wanted revenge, but Daniels said that Styles wasn't cleared to wrestle, so Daniels challenged Homicide to a singles match for the next edition of Impact. Konnan got on the mic and said LAX was going to do whatever it takes to win the tag title at the PPV.

- Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviewed Samoa Joe. Joe said that Monty Brown made a mistake by getting involved in his business. Joe wondered if Brown was jealous of his success. Joe said he would take care of both Brown and Rhino at the PPV.

- Backstage, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner were looking for Christian Cage, but found Jay Lethal instead and attacked him.

- Shane Douglas came out and cut a promo about how every great champion encounters a roadblock, and for the Naturals the roadblock is America's Most Wanted.

- The Naturals defeated America's Most Wanted when Chris Harris accidentally clotheslined James Storm, allowing Chase Stevens to get a rollup on Storm. After the match, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett attacked the Naturals.

- Jarrett got on the mic and said he wasn't leaving until Christian came out. Larry Zbyszko came out on the ramp and said that he had just gotten off the phone with Jim Cornette. Zbyszko said Cornette had some orders, and if they weren't followed, they would suffer the same fate as Earl Hebner (be fired). One was that Scott Steiner would meet face-to-face with Jim Cornette, and the other was that Jeff Jarrett would have to leave the building for it.

- Petey Williams pinned Jay Lethal with the Canadian Destroyer in a five-way match that also included Sonjay Dutt, Frankie Kazarian and Alex Shelley. I believe this match was to determine a challenger for Senshi's X-Division Title at the PPV.

- Jim Cornette held his "mandatory meeting" with a group of wrestlers in the ring. He announced that at Hard Justice, America's Most Wanted vs. The James Gang vs. Frankie Kazarian & Matt Bentley vs. The Naturals would take place with the winning team getting a future title match with the winner of the LAX vs. Styles & Daniels match. He announced that Brother Runt will get his match against Abyss at the PPV. He announced Samoa Joe vs. Monty Brown vs. Rhino in a Falls Count Anywhere three-way at the PPV. Cornette then announced that on next week's episode of Impact, Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt will face Alex Shelley, Johnny Devin & Kevin Nash.

- Cornette then had everyone leave except for Christian and Scott Steiner. Cornette said he was placing them in a match against each other on Impact the following week, and if either man was able to eliminate the other so they couldn't be at Hard Justice, then so be it. Christian and Steiner exchanged words, then Christian left, but a "fan" in a Sting mask pulled Christian over the rail and attacked him. The fan turned out to be Jarrett, and he and Steiner laid out Christian to end the show.

- Rhino came out and talked about his Falls Count Anywhere match with Samoa Joe and Monty Brown at the PPV. This led to Monty Brown attacking Rhino in the crowd. Brown gets on the mic and talks about the Falls Count Anywhere match, and Samoa Joe comes out and starts brawling with Brown. Rhino gets back in the ring, and all three men brawl with security coming in to break it up.

- Brother Runt came out with a sign that said "Come Get Me Abyss". Abyss didn't come out. He later was walking through the crowd with the sign.

- Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal defeated Alex Shelley, Johnny Devine & Kevin Nash when Sabin hit the Cradle Shock on Devine for the pin. During the match, Jerry Lynn came out on the ramp to watch.

- Homicide defeated Christopher Daniels. Konnan distracted the referee and Hernandez ran in and gave Daniels an overhead suplex to set up the pin. LAX then attacked Daniels, but AJ Styles made the save with a chair before Homicide could give Daniels the Cop Killer (Vertebreaker/Kudo Driver).

- Abyss defeated Shark Boy with the Black Hole Slam. Brother Runt appeared above an entranceway during the match. After the bout, Jim Mitchell sent Abyss after Runt, but Runt dove off the entranceway and gave Abyss a flying bodypress as he was coming up the ramp. They fought into the ring, and Runt laid out Abyss with an Acid Drop.

- Christian vs. Scott Steiner ended in a no-contest. Jim Cornette was at the announce table for the bout. Jeff Jarrett ran in, but accidentally hit Steiner, and the referee called for the bell. Jarrett & Steiner then attacked Christian, and Jarrett put Christian in the Scorpion Deathlock. The lights went off and then came back on, and Sting had Jarrett in the Scorpion Deathlock. Christian and Sting ran off Steiner and Jarrett to end the show.

Xplosion Matches:

- Gail Kim defeated Sirelda with a rollup.

- The James Gang defeated Frankie Kazarian & Matt Bentley when Kip pinned Kazarian. After the match, the James Gang got on the mic and talked about winning their match at Hard Justice and going on to win the tag team title. LAX then attacked the James Gang, and they brawled to end the show.

Sounds like two decent episodes, as usual.

I don't like the fact that they brought Kazarian to job, though. He hasn't won a match since he's returned to TNA. o_O

The whole Jarrett/Steiner/Sting/Cage thing is starting to become tedious. The card sounds okay though.

It's starting to look pretty good, I hope Sting wins.

W/O reading the spoilers, I love Daniels promos, he is one of the best in the business and one of the best in ring wrestlers ever.

I enjoyed tonights program aside from seeing Jarrett once again hog up tv time, you know I got to thinking during the show tonight, but I'll leave that thought for the Hard Justice thread.

Very tedious! I don't think I can remember the last time that a TNA show didn't involve them fighting.

Tonights !mpact was a really good one, the first part was okay, starting out with the promo from Rhino, only to bring Brown and Joe out which was bound to happen.

Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal vs Alex Shelley, Johnny Devine & Kevin Nash was'nt so bad, don't know what it is but I'm starting to like the Paparazzi faction which seems to be what it is, was'nt sure at first, just thought it was Nash playing manager for the two, but now I see it, Shelly keeps doing his Embassy pose which I don't think anyone gets.

Homicide vs Daniels was all around just a great match, for the time it was given anyways, thought Daniels was gonna get the win but I was wrong, I was marking out a bit when I saw Homicide do his 3 suplex's and then do some Eddie Guerrero movements, that was a cool moment, I think I may have even heard some of the crowd chant his name, but I could'nt tell, so don't quote me on that.

Shark Boy jobs again, I think it's safe to say, he's TNA's biggest jobber, nothing really interesting in the match between him and Abyss, Spi.....er Runt is just plain annoying, he was in WWE and is now.

Cage vs Steiner was going good, till we just had to see Jarrett show up once again, which I knew was going to happen but I was in denial, then Sting came down and now the ppv is hyped up.

They were hyping the ppv main event alot this week, I don't know what to make of it, is Sting going to win? Probably not but it would be a nice change.

Young is still funny, which reminds me that I'm gonna update the card for Hard Justice, that has Young and Devine going at it.

One of the best shows so far, if they would've had a clean finish and did'nt take the time to have a squash match with Abyss while keeping one of the others alittle longer, it could've been the best show so far, of from my view anyways, overall still a solid show, ppv should be real good.....again.
