August 17

*AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels brawled into the Impact Zone with LAX. Rhino, Brother Runt, Samoa Joe, Monty Brown, and Abyss all brawl around the building. NWA champion Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring wondering what's going on. Jarrett came to the ring and they shot off confetti cannons to celebrate his win over Sting. The lights went off and when they returned, Sting was in the ring. Sting chased off Jarrett and said that he didn't lose to Jarrett, he lost because of Christian Cage. He challenged Jarrett to a rematch at Bound for Glory and said he would do anything to get the match.

*In the back, NWA Tag Team champions AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were interviewed, although the audio wasn't clear.

*At the Spanish announce table, Konnan challenges Daniels and Styles to a rematch for the Tag Titles in a "Border Brawl" with no DQ and No Rules for the belts.

*Jeremy Borash was at Jeff Jarrett's locker room door trying to get a response to Sting's challenge. Eric Young comes out and says that Jarrett will give the answer later.

*Chris Sabin & Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt defeated Alex Shelley & Petey Williams & Johnny Devine. Earl Hebner attacked Slick Johnson during the match. No sign of Kevin Nash all night.

*In a Captain's Match, Chase Stevens defeated Chris Harris, Kazarian, and BG James to earn a NWA Tag Team title shot in the future for the Naturals. There was a lot of dissension teased between America's Most Wanted. After the match, they were pushing each other as Gail Kim tried to separate them. Storm finally walked off from Harris, leaving him in the ring.

*Samoa Joe defeated Ron Killings with the MuscleBuster.

*In the back, Jeff Jarrett told Jeremy Borash that he has conditions to face Sting, saying that he wants Sting to put his career on the line and wants Sting to deliver him a contract next week with that stipulation.

August 24

*LAX defeated Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles to become the new NWA Tag Team champions after Homicide hit an Ace Cutter on Daniels through a table for the pin in a "Border Brawl" match.

*Shane Douglas comes out and says that he hates to brag but he told everyone he would bring the Naturals to the top of the Tag Team division.

*Alex Shelley and Johnny Devine defeated The Naturals. Douglas returns to the ring and berates The Naturals.

*Christian Cage comes out and explains that he turned on Sting at Hard Justice because Sting lied to everyone about why he came back. He said Sting said he would be the champion but he isn't. Cage was full heel. Rhino comes to the ring and says that he's tired of listening to Cage talk and wants Cage to explain himself. Cage says that Rhino is good friends with Sting and he can see why because Sting was there for him all the time, like when Rhino broke his neck. He says that Sting visited him in the hospital and was there for him when he had problems with his wife, then corrects himself and reminds Rhino that he was the one actually there for him, not Sting. Cage hands Rhino a chair and turns him back on Rhino, asking him if he'll allow 10 years of friendship to be ruined. Rhino says he doesn't need a chair and starts brawling with Cage. Cage nails him with the chair and gives him the Conchairto.

*They announced a 10,000 Thumbtack match for next week on Impact with Abyss vs. Brother Runt. Jim Mitchell came to the announce table.

*Abyss pinned Cassidy Riley with the Black Hole Slam. He poured a bag of tacks into the ring, then punched them, impaling his fists with the tacks.

*Mike Tenay and Don West announced that Sting had signed the contract. Jeff Jarrett came out and said that he would execute the contract next week and also promised a "public execution next week" as well.

August 31

*NWA Tag Team champions LAX come to the ring. Konnan says that they dedicate their tag titles to the famous Latino wrestlers like Mil Mascaras, the Guerreros, Pedro Morales, and Tito Santana. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels appeared on the video screen. Daniels said that they made a mistake giving LAX the title match but now they have a rematch and LAX will have to play their game. They announce an Ultimate X match for the NWA Tag Team straps at No Surrender on 9/24.

*Chris Sabin & Jay Lethal defeated TNA X-Division champion Senshi and Petey Williams. Williams and Senshi collided in the ring, so Senshi stood there and watched as Sabin pinned Williams.

*Eric Young pinned Shark Boy. After the match, Earl Hebner tries to pull Slick Johnson out of the ring and is escorted out.

*In the 10,000 thumbtacks match, Abyss defeated Brother Runt. Abyss blocked an Acid Drop and slammed Runt on the tacks. After the match, Abyss teased pressing and slamming Runt out of the ring through tables covered in thumb tacks. Raven made the save and then put Abyss through the tables.

*Jeff Jarrett came out to execute the contract. There was a noose hanging from the rafters and a "firing squad" in the ring. Jarrett had a "fan" (plant) thrown out after he threw a bottle at Jarrett. Jarrett said that he was going to publicly execute Sting's career. He said that the pen is mightier than the sword and signs the contract. A telephone at the announcing table rings and it's Jim Cornette. Cornette announces that the match will happen at Bound for Glory and he's tired of all the conspiracies, so next week, Jarrett will "be on trial." He noted that Jarrett passed a lie detector test and if he passes this, he won't have to wrestle until Bound for Glory. If Jarrett fails any part of the test, the fans will get their chance to get even with Jarrett.

Sounds like another three average nights of Impact. I'm interested in seeing the Samoa Joe vs. Killings, match... But that's about it.

What a good show tonight, only two and half matched but still a good show.

Naturals vs The Paparrazis, I knew the Naturals were going to lose one of these weeks, they were on a streak for a bit but everything comes to an end sometime, I'm just waiting to see the two turn on Douglas and maybe they can bring in a new team or something, well that's just an idea.

I dig the Paparrazis though for some reason.

Cage promo was a good one, setting up a match between him and Rhino, it ate up some time but still enjoyable.

Abyss's squash match was meh.

LAX vs Daniels and Styles, LAX was bound to become tag champs, just would've thought it would've been at a ppv but I was happy to see LAX win, Styles and Daniels are great don't get me wrong but something about me being more into the heels in TNA, I don't know what it is.

Or maybe it's a 50/50 thing between the heels and faces.

I just finished watching it, (I taped it) and I must say it was a great show. I agree totally with --O- on his views, but i'd also like to point out how great James Michell is. The way he told Don West to shut up was hilarious. I can't wait for next week's "10,000 thumbtacks" match.

One thing I don't get...Christian screwed Sting out of the NWA title. Naturally you would think that would lead to a Sting vs Christian match and free up Jeff Jarrett for a new contender such as Samoa Joe. But, TNA sees this as a chance to pit Christian vs Rhyno? Because they are such best friends? That seems kind of ...wrong to me. I like the heel Christian and think he vs Rhyno will probably be good, but don't really understand the booking. I guess TNA is dead set on having Sting be World Champion.

LAX vs Daniels and Styles was Awesome. And, seeing as the Naturals got a set back last night, I expect more in the series of excellent matches.

I like the Spike vs Abyss match up. Spike has made a career out of these matches, but adding Raven to the mix could blow up in the face of TNA. I hope they handle it well.

Over all a great Impact to me.

Since more people are discussing TNA shows, then perhaps we'll start posting one show spoiler per thread.

I thought this week's show was once again the best show of the week. I found it more interesting than either of WWE's three brands.

That is odd booking. The Jarrett/Sting re-match isn't booked for 2 more months, so they have plenty of time to get the Sting/Christian match set up for No Surrender. My only guess is that TNA is planning a big feud between these two and doesn't want either to lose to the other just yet. Christian shouldn't lose to a mega-face this soon after his heel turn (especially when the mega-face is his main adversary), while Sting shouldn't lose this close to BFG.

I'm probably setting myself up for a disappointment here, but the tag line for BFG is "A new Star is born" or something to that effect. I wouldn't be surprised if BFG has a WM9 type ending where the winner of Sting/Jarrett will automatically have to defend his title (against Joe perhaps?) and lose.

That's a nice theory Cybrus, but I see a problem with it. If Jeff Jarrett wins and then loses the title to Joe, that will mean that Sting is retired. And, for the second time, will leave TNA for awhile. I don't see a point in that storyline.

If Sting wins, I don't see him dropping the belt to Joe afterwards as it would kill the buildup he just got from the Jarrett fued. Sting putting Joe over may be the way that TNA is going to go, but I don't think it will be that night.

:smack:

I keep forgetting about the match stipulations, which is odd because every time I hear them mention the stipulations on screen, then I think to myself "Well, Sting's contract doesn't even expire until December". Yet, almost as soon as I turn TNA off, I forget that.

Ok, I think you've killed my little glimmer of hope (murder!), but in an attempt to keep my rationale alive...The Sting/Jarrett match could end with some sort of screwed up ending. Maybe Christian and Steiner interfere against Sting, which then brings out Joe, who had teamed with Sting earlier in the year only to walk out on him after the match. Cornette comes out and nullifies the match (similar to what he did at Slammiversary), and orders some type of title rematch. Since all those guys want to get into each other's business, then they wrestle a 5-way match. Christian (or anyone but Jarrett) pins Sting, which makes the contract stipulation moot, and Joe pins Jarrett to dethrone the evil king. You like that? No? Ok.

I can't. I have always been a huge fan of the Naturals and think they will soon be the Tag Champions again.

I wonder who would say something foolish sounding like that? Maybe it's someone who does'nt or have seen what they've done before, or just don't like them cause they are taking orders from Douglas, whatever the case is, they are one of the best in very underrated as a tag team.

Allright, as for last night's iMPACT!... The good news? I bought more recordable DVDs. The bad news? I forgot to bring the one I recorded to my Uncle's house, so I have to wait until Saturday's replay of it to watch it. Just my luck! :-/

All hail King Booker!
This past Impact wasn't bad. It was a decent show. The highlight of the show was Jarett being booed out of the building again. He had to talk directly to the camera because the "You suck!" chants were so loud lol.

Maybe it's just me, but the final recording of any Impact taping seems less thrilling than the others. This was no exception. The first and second hours gave us two weeks of great Impact TV. The final hour of recording gave us a week of an average Impact. This one wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It was just there, really.

Abyss needs to stop with the thumbtacks. He's been involved in so many matches with thumbtacks that they don't even have any special meaning anymore.

It looks like Petey Williams will be challenging Senshi for the X-Title. Williams is my favorite guy in the X-Division (and one of my favorites in the entire company) so I'm glad he is getting something of a push. However, it's kind of saddening that he'll be nothing more than fodder for Senshi.

I was fooled a few weeks back, but I'm sure they said Bobby Roode would be brining his interviews for a new manager to the Impact Zone next week. I'll be surprised if he lives up to the hype TNA has been giving him.

The Jarrett segment was just bad. Everything from the firing squad (didn't WWE get blasted for doing something similar?), to the noose, to the audience plant that Jarrett threw out of the building, to Cornette speaking on the phone, to them constantly mentioning that Impact was "live" even though we knew it wasn't was all bad. The only thing I enjoyed about the segment was the vocal boos directed at Jarrett.

Allright, 2 mid-TNA notes:

1. I'm so flattered that they still refer to Jay Lethal as to being "From Elizabeth, New Jersey." I feels good to know one successful person that came out of here.

2. Did Christian and TNA just take a cheap shot at John Cena? They way he faced Killings (who I thought quit) and said "You're not the first poser rapper i've beaten." Just thought that was interesting, since Cena fits the bill perfectly!

The last I heard, Killings is still contractually obligated to wrestle so he has to wrestle any match TNA books him in until his contract expires. It looks like TNA is going to job him out while they can. And, yes, I also noticed Christian and Killings take a shot at Christian. You pointed out Christians shot, which was true. Christian did have a small feud with Cena before he went to SD! and then quit shortly afterwards. Killings also took a jab at Cena by saying something along the lines of "The difference is, I don't imitate, I demonstrate"
