As a starting point for this post, let it be known that I find Johnny Nitro's entrance far too long and silly....therefore, may I officially vote for Jeff Hardy to toss paint onto Nitro every week? It made my night not having to sit through The Paparazzi Splits Presentation!

The "testicles replaced with pompoms" line from Piper to the SS was priceless. Awesome that SS lost. Great attack from Kane. Although, it seemed weird that Umaga won by DQ against Flair. Nitro's body painted... for something, watching them is like watching dry paint. Since I'm still watching the 6 man tag match, Orton set himself up for a 619 at one moment. Lol, what the hell was on his mind? And what are the people chanting during that match? My hearing capacity sucks so bad I swear I hear them saying "Orton, Nitro, Cena suck"... can someone help me on that? Or is it "Nitro, Cena, Lita suck"? |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
I'm surprised everyone didn't jump on the Nitro bandwagon. With the paint, you couldn't tell him and Jeff Hardy apart. And, from what I've seen, Jeff is just one step away from the greatest thing since the Salk vaccine. I may be a little harsh on Jeff, though. It's just that when I see his more-talented-than-him brother languishing for no reason, it makes me resent Jeff's Insta-Push. The six-man was surprisingly good, though. It had more action, and lasted longer, than I thought it would. The Intercontinental Champion submitting to a talentless bum at the end wasn't one of my favorite things, though. I'll probably be the happiest guy around if Cena somehow loses at Unforgiven, and I never have to see him on RAW again. Super Crazy got another win! I have no idea where they're going with him, but at least he's on TV. The so-called Main Event was just another reason to have another mugging, like the last three or four shows. Not interested. Roddy and the Umaga = who cares....I passed "Umaga-hater" at least 3 months ago. Upside: we didn't have to see Eugene this week! Awesome! Trish's little fairwell was good for those that care. For some reason, I just can't work up any "heartwarming memories" about her. Stay or leave, I won't really pay attention. At least Carlito won't have to play love-sick puppy anymore, and that's a good thing. Triple H = "In the Doghouse". He actually "Hulked Up". I can't believe he'd sink so low. Oh, and Shelton Benjamin is still rotting in some stalag someplace..... |

I still wanna know what the people were chanting during the Six Man Tag Match. Too bad Nitro tapped out inmediately to the STF. If he would have resisted 30 seconds, the match would have ended perfectly rather than having a sad ending. Super Crazy won again. Yay! Trish had a good match against Mickie... and I got a question: if Trish wins at Unforgiven, when will the Women's Championship be defended for grabs, at a Raw episode or at No Mercy with all females from Raw, Smackdown and ECW? Just a dumb thought. Only 1 minute was good from Vince vs HHH. Damn. That main event, along with the way the Six Man Tag Match ended, killed what it could have been a great episode. |

All hail King Booker!

"Let's go Cena/Fuck you Cena" "We want Cena/Cena Sucks" "Go to Smackdown/Stay on RAW" Just a few I could make out. I think there was one where they mentioned something about Randy because he turned around to the crowd and started bitching at them. It was a good match and the NYC chant monkeys made it better though sometimes the chants overshadowed the match. I'm probably the only person on this earth who feels bad for Cena and I'm not even a huge fan of him. I respect him going out night after night despite getting booed. I wonder how he's kept sane throughout this last year and a half or so. It's gotta wear you down mentally I would think. He's best fit on SD and I'd love to see him there. Since he got the pin on Nitro last night, odds would be that he'll lose this Sunday so let's hope that's how it turns out. Before I go on with my take on RAW, the Redskins lost a very winnable game which put me in the foulest of all moods last night. So I ended up taking out all my anger on RAW unfairly. I thought this RAW was largely forgettable. I was watching the Redskins on MNF so I had to do a lot of channel flipping, it was annoying. My DVR doesn't work or maybe I don't know how to use. I keep trying to record shows and they don't record. Anyway, the only highlights of the show I thought were Edge's "rap" and the 6-man tag match with the three feuds. Other than that, nothing else really impressed me. This show didn't make me want to buy the PPV. I won't comment about Umaga, SS, Masters, or Highlanders because I'm too tired too. SRP, I see that you didn't care about the Trish match being as you apparently don't like her, and I sense you weren't alone in that sentiment. The MSG crowd could've cared less about her retirement and her final match for that matter. They were pretty dead for it which is a bit sad. Most people really don't care about women's wrestling and/or feel there's no need for it in this day and age and I also think that's really sad. I saw bits and pieces of the main event and from what I saw, it was horrible. McSteroid throws the worst punches ever. I strongly dislike Hunter Hearst McMahon and this whole feud for that matter. I read a statement someone had made in this week's RAW recap and he stated that RAWs main event for the last two months or so are like Olive Garden's slogan. When you're here, it's all family. How true is that? Don't be surprised if this HIAC match is the main event on Sunday. Overall, after watching this show, I came away from it really depressed and bored. Trish is sadly leaving and no one cares, the Spirit Squad have been buried...no wait....cremated and need to break up to get back any inch of credibility, Randy Orton fails a fucking drug test and is still on my TV screen taking up space (to me, he's the real talentless bum in the WWE), Cena, a supposed top babyface gets cussed out and booed out of the building viciously (why hasn't he turned heel yet?), Nitro and Melina are worthless on the screen, DX is still together feuding with the McMahons, putting on a main event that was the same worthless crap we've been seeing for two months now. And all this crap is supposed to make me want to buy the PPV? Oh, TNA, how I wish you were a huge wrestling promotion kicking RAWs ass in the ratings so they'd be motivated to put on better shows. Thank God I have ECW to look forward to tomorrow.

Will everyone stop with the negativity? I thought this RAW was great. Since school has begun, I have stopped with my whole "Negativity" phase. When I tune into RAW, these days, I want to be entertained, and not want to point out every single freakin' flaw! We know RAW has problems already! Let's point out the good stuff! -Great opening. I thought it was fitting for the September 11th memory, and Lillian's singing of "God Bless America" is always touching. -Jeff Hardy is actually taking this whole "Paint" thing in good fashion. "That was my painting!" -I did not see the 6-man tag match. (or the second half, at least) I was watching the last few minutes of "Path to 9/11" on ABC, so I was switching back and forth. Great improvising by Hardy, though, who got right on Nitro when he didn't get over the ropes. Made it look like they didn't mess it up in the first place. -I don't give a damn what anyone thinks. Trish leaving is a depressing story. I'm not in the corner of my room, crying over it, but seeing that, no matter what anyone says, she is one of the best women wrestlers in history go is sad. She and Mickie, (who I also respect) put on some great bouts in the past year. -Triple H is ever-entertaining. The way he was "Hulking up" like Hogan was very funny. Just either goes to show that whole "D-X vs. NWO" idea might be true, or Triple H is jealous of the insane pops he's still getting. |

STAY HYPED!!!
|
Last night's show happened on 9/11, so I knew there would be a lot of themed segments. I avoid such segments, so much of Raw didn't appeal to me because of that. Unless I'm wrong, the last time WWE was in MSG had a profound affect on their product. The title was taken off Cena in a flash decision all due to being booed out of the building. If WWE listens to the crowd this time, then I expect Carlito to get a bigger push. He and Cena got the best crowd reactions of the night. And while Cena may have a love/hate relationship with most crowds, I don't think anyone can deny that he always gets a reaction from the crowd. The HIAC moments shown throughout the night were a nice touch. Too bad they didn't do the same for TLC moments. Roddy Piper was an unexpected and unhyped surprise. I wouldn't like it if Roddy was their on a weekly basis, but I liked his role on this week's show very much. It made the Highlanders a bit interesting, although "I'm Robbie" is still a horrible catchphrase. During the Nitro/Hardy backstage brawl when Nitro knocked over that mock painting Hardy made and Hardy said "hey, that's my painting, man!", I laughed out loud for some reason. The painting was obviously nothing important, yet Hardy's tone made it seem like he valued it. Funny stuff. Edge's promo was great. Too bad his entire championship reign is being over-shadowed by the "We think it's 1997 and not nearly 2007" tour that creative is forcing down out throats. There were several botches in the 6 man tag. Hardy's botched spot where he tried to jump onto Carlito and over the top rope was the most noticable. However, Carlito also messed up a few times. He made it obvious that he was going through the ropes long before Edge ever pulled the second rope down (you know the spot I'm talking about), and he seemed to botch his finisher on Orton. Although, Orton is partially to blame for that. The idiot couldn't even fall backwards right. I read a report that a petition is already being made to stop Cryme Tyme. WWE finally got the bad-hype that they wanted. Good for them. ![]() I wonder how many people went out of their way to step on Vince McMahon's star after he made a big scene about how no one steps on it? ![]() Triple H vs McMahon was awful. I understand why they booked the match the way they did, but it should not have been the main event. Also, I find it hilarious that Triple H readily disses Hogan, yet constantly takes pages out of the Hogan play book. Triple H better not hulk up during every match as face. And the fact that they sold Triple H's bleeding ear as the reason he was so unbalanced during the match (which is a logical and actually good explanation), his hulking up ruined that completely. Just because he's mad doesn't mean he'll magically get his balance back. Inner ear problems don't work like that. ![]() Anyone else not surprised that WWE kissed their own ass during "This Week In Wrestling History"? Sigh, at least it was nice to see both Austin and Rock on the same screen at the same time again. |

That's the trouble. We want to be entertained too, and RAW isn't delivering. I did point out the (two, not just one!) good points of RAW: The six-man tag team match, and no Eugene. If they can have another good match next week, keep Eugene off the show next week, and add a third "good point", they'll be moving in the right direction. |

I'm glad to see that at least two other people laughed at Jeff Hardy's "That was my painting!" line...
I'm glad he's getting to show more of a personality this time around. Last time he was in the WWE, I don't remember him getting that much mic time or "backstage moments" or anything. I didn't get Melina during that part...Nitro is fighting Jeff Hardy at the PPV, Jeff Hardy is standing in the background, I think Nitro himself even mentioned Jeff Hardy and then Melina gets the mic and goes, "Blah Blah Blah Mick Foley Blah Blah". I figured they were still pushing that angle, but it did seem like a weird place to throw it in. I also will say I don't get the general publics hatred of Cryme Tyme. I teach middle school in a school that is mostly African American & Hispanic. I have entire classes where I am one of two white people in the room. I found out recently that a bunch of my kids watch wrestling and today they were discussing it. Cryme Tyme came up as something they found really funny (They love Carlito too) If 13 year olds can get the joke, I don't get why others can't as well. I guess I shouldn't make it sound like no one can be offended, but when has the WWE ever worried about offense. JBL makes fun of minorities on Smackdown! The "Divas" are treated like anytime they come to the ring, it can only be to dump pudding or throw water balloons at each other (of course they all have to wear outfits that are completely impractical for wrestling). Even the white guy in the Cryme Tyme vingette last night is a walking stereotype ("I think I'm in the ghetto....I haven't seen a Starbucks for 5 blocks!") The WWE are no stranger to offending large groups of people. |

Maybe Melina is just saying that she is done with Foley and she doesn't give a crap about him anymore since he's fired... guess I'll have to listen to that thing she said including Foley's name. |

That's what she said, because that's what the hack writers (you may recognize them from such dumbassed promos as ,"Swimming with Stingrays") are scripting her to say. I'm sure she and Nitro would rather talk about themselves and their upcoming matches, rather then railing on about a retired guy. WWE doesn't want to let them. I guess WWE thinks we're going to forget Foley if they don't stick his name in promos every week, or something. |
