Lol, yeah I know. At least it's an extreme rules match. I hope ECDub is good tonight, as I need a good pick up. |

The Man. Any Questions?

I love how they call themselves ECW, but "Extreme Rules Matches" are a novelty.
They ought to name it what it is : "Another Load of Crap from WWE". The past two weeks, they've slipped. They were known for solid main events, but they scrapped that shit real quick. I guess they found out that too many people were actually enjoying the show, and had to do something to alienate us. Hopefully, they'll get back on track after Unforgiven. They've been way too preoccupied with hyping a RAW PPV. Once it's out of the way, maybe they'll concentrate on their own show. *Hope, hope, hope* |

Sabu vs Big Show again? Maybe that revives my thoughts of Sabu popping up at Unforgiven. |

Hmm...after the predictable "Heyman's goons interfere left and right" stuff, Big Show got the pin. End of feud. Sabu has been beaten enough times to stop giving him chances. I was hoping we'd see some kind of finishing move out of Rene Dupree, but, instead, we still don't know what he does! All he did was take up space, while the freaks did the work on Balls. Not a good showcasing of Dupree. I guess RVD is joining Dreamer and Sandman against BlownSpots Holly, Test, and Knox, for the "Old vs. New" feud that a couple of people want. What the hell does Richards have to do with anything, and why is he on the "new" side? Oh yeah, I forgot things in WWE aren't supposed to make sense anymore. A month and a half, and Great to see Punk squash Moore. I just wish they'd do something with Punk, though. No feud, just put on the back burner, for some reason. Shouldn't he be involved with something? He's the most popular guy on the roster. Still no tag teams...probably never will be. After the ECW Champion finishes up his RAW pay-per-view ( ), I wonder who they'll throw at him next...I don't see any legitimate contenders anywhere on the roster. |

I've actually accepted and like the fact that not every match is extreme rules. For instance, if all the matches last week had been under extreme rules, the awesome tag match would've blended in with every thing else. Because it was the lone match under those rules, it easily stood out as the best match and was unique. Maybe longer down the road, the number of matches will be contested under those rules, but for right now, we're just gonna have to suck it up and deal with it. I thought ECW was good tonight. At least Dupree and Moore debuted finally. Funny that Dupree still does his "French Tickler" dance lol. I wish the Punk/Moore match would've been a little more competitive instead of Moore just getting his ass kicked but the feud isn't over. It's barely even started really. I'm glad Punk got some love from the NY "smart" fans. I wish the RVD/Holly match would've gone on longer, it was good when it lasted, before the melee took place between the heels and faces. Kelly Kelly flirting with Punk was funny being that Punk is dating Maria and Kelly is dating Test. Just the whole scene made me laugh. Perhaps Punk and Knox will have a feud soon since Knox "accidently" bumped him as he was whisking Kelly away. The main event wasn't bad though it was predictable again. I do like that they're building Big Show up as this monster because it'll make the person that beats him for the title look great. I really wonder where the brand is going with their storylines and direction being as they're still a couple months away from their first PPV. As for tag team divisions, and other belts being introduced, guys, we won't get that until ECW gets some more air time. I hope it happens in the near future. Overall, I thought it was another solid show. The NY crowd really helped the show along, they were very enthusiastic. It was smart to have ECW go on before RAW. ECW is keeping up a good pace every week. It's mostly the main event that slowly brings it down but the first 3/4 of the show are always pretty good. Line of the Night: Styles: "Sabu is beating up on Heyman like he owes him some money!"

It was'nt a bad show, Moore jobbed like I knew he was going to, from the looks of things from the past couple months, I am assuming that Test, Holly and Know will be forming some sort of faction that includes Stevie Richards, but I could be wrong, it was cool to see the originals come to rescue for RVD, I wonder if this will set up some sort of Survivor Series match, I think that'll be pretty cool. Dupree was decent, not to great, but not to bad neither, the main event just has been lacking lately though IMO. |

I loved the random pop for the WWE RAW ring apron.
I thought it was a decent show. Dupree wasn't bad, I also wish that Shannon Moore would have gotten more than an ass kicking on his debut (I have a soft spot for him because we share the same first name )I love CM Punk and Kevin Thorn more every week, but CM especially. He also looks to be so genuinely happy with what he is doing, I can't help but enjoy his matches. I also don't get why Stevie Richards can't have a break. I was rewatching Barely Legal tonight (WWE 24/7 is playing it) and he was in the match for the championship and now he basically plays the role of "Jobber #3" every week. He's a talented guy and I wish he'd get even a tiny push (and I don't understand why he's with the "new" guys all of a sudden). |

See?! I wasn't the only one who noticed that! 4400TVJunkie mentioned no new Titles until they get more airtime. I think that's probably the way WWE sees it, but it doesn't have to be that way. When ECW was on TNN, they had three Titles, and they only had a one-hour show. In fact, they had had those Titles for years before even being on TV, but they were still able to showcase them in a one-hour timeslot. The only difference is, ECW was only showing its own wrestlers and hyping its own angles, so they could use that one hour productively. On the other hand, Another Load of Crap from WWE keeps cross-branding, which eats up valuable time. If they let Another Load of Crap from WWE be its own brand, they'd have the time to use three Titles. |

STAY HYPED!!!
|
ECW could have a second title as is. Guys like Dreamer, Knox, Test, Thorn, Balls, Sandman, and other weekly talent could easily carry the TV Title.
I read a report on PW Torch that said WWE is getting its figurative ass whupped by UFC in terms of domestic PPV sales. Considering they are hyping Unforgiven more than they've hyped any other PPV this year (excluding WM), and the fact that they have the card stacked better than any other PPV this year, then I'd say it looks like WWE is feeling the heat. And if that is true, then I don't expect things to change. |

I don't consider a bunch of matches that we've seen dozens of times already to be "stacking the card", though. In fact, all the reruns make me not want to see it! I think a huge factor in PPV sales is the idiotic price. On my DISH PPV, Unforgiven is a whopping forty bucks! Well, $39.95, but close enough. I don't know about most people, but, for that outrageous sum of money, I expect Triple H himself to show up at my house to place the order on my remote. If they dropped the price a bit (in half, actually), I'd bet they'd be able to convince a lot more people to buy. The price is just too steep. |

I do agree with you. But the fact that WWE has a HIAC, TLC, IC title match, Women's Title match, and Tag Team Title match all on one PPV makes Unforgiven the most stacked PPV we've seen in a very long time. The actual matches are repetitive, but the hype is there. |

Yep, and not only the type of matches are building it up, but also Trish retires at that PPV and John Cena's future is on the line, which makes more hype for this PPV. |

I agree. $40 for a B PPV like Unforgiven is quite ridiculous.

Even stranger about the prices, is that SummerSlam, a multi-brand show, was the same price. I figured that a multi-brand show would cost more that a RAW-only PPV, but I was wrong. WWE can moan about UFC having better buyrates all it wants, but, when you are trying to take the customers (that would be us) to the cleaners, you have to expect that. I can think of much better uses for $40 than a wrestling PPV. Like I said, drop that price, and I'll think about buying. |

They should take note from their rival, which reminds me, I don't think I've seen any figures from their buyrates of ppvs at all, if I did, it was a good time ago and it left my memory. |
