The Man. Any Questions?
|
Okay, not good. I just read the SmackDown! spoilers, and there was no mention of Booker T intending to appear at next week's ALOCFWWE. Yet, here we get yet another crossover! If they don't let ALOCFWWE stand as its own brand, and stop the damn crossovers, it will never take off. Worse yet, this one is an unannounced crossover! What's the point of having a crossover, if the fans don't know about it in advance? |

"Another Load of Crap from WWE". It's not ECW, at all. If they had incorporated even one remnant of the ECW philosophy, I would have played along with Vince's imposter (in fact, I did, until it went totally down the toilet about a month ago). Now, I will refer to WWE's third brand as ALOCFWWE. |

Great, another stupid bimbo storyline that'll probably have something along the lines of Kelly having a crush on CM Punk, with Knox getting jealous and challenging him, this is'nt looking predictable. Atleast, Francine is gonna be there, who is an original ECW vixen. A CM Punk and Booker match in the near future would be great even if it is'nt for any specific title, I'm liking Thorn more and more, the Mordecai gimmick was cool, but this for some reason works for him alot better I think. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

I'd rather see Kelly with CM Punk rather than that Mike Knox bastard. And I think this was taped so that Big Show could rest for a while after Unforgiven. I think Big Show's gonna get his ass kicked badly at Unforgiven, no matter if DX wins or loses. Booker/RVD could have been for Booker's title. I wonder how that match went, since it was under Extreme Rules. |

Just finished watching it and I must point out two things that really get on my damn nerves, first is Kelly, they need to stop showing this stupid bimbo whenever CMP is wrestling, it's a build up to I'm pretty a Knox/Punk match later on but it's still no point, she is ugly and looks like HBK from the 80's.....and yes I did mention that before. Second, why the hell do they just have to show some reaction from Sharmell in every one of Booker's matches, she does nothing, her voice is annoying and she looks like a gremlin, Booker is to good of wrestler to have his wife follow him around like a little lost dog. Other than that I enjoyed the main event alot more than recently. With that out of the way, the show was alot better than the spoilers made it sound, I am still impressed with Thorn weekly, plus the cross powerbomb he did showed some strength on his part. The 6 man was okay, the DQ is the only thing that made it look not as it should've. Punk looked to carry Moore throughout almost the entire match, Moore still sucks. |

All hail King Booker!

ECW was okay this week. I loved King Bookah being there, he is so awesome. Like some have said in this thread, a Booker/Punk feud would be an absolute dream. My favorite SD star versus my favorite ECW star. *sigh* . It was nice to see Francine since there were rumours everywhere a month ago that Vince didn't like her and was about to fire her. She sure was busting out of that dress. The 6-tag match was alright, nothing special. The Punk/Moore match was better since it wasn't a complete squash. Also Moore was able to show a little bit more of his moves. The bout was sloppy at times but I've heard they've put on some good matches at past house shows so I'm not too worried. The main event was okay but also a bit sloppy at times. The catapult chair shot that RVD took at the end was insane. Tazz was all like "you can get brain damage like that" lol. Seriously, even the ref was checking to make sure he was legitimately okay. He just went full steam into that chair. So wicked. I didn't dislike the match since it pitted two of my favorite wrestlers against each other but it could've been a lot better. No tables were used or anything. Overally, ECW gets a 3/5. It definitely was better than RAW and I have a feeling SD and TNA will also be better as well because RAW was so pitiful this week. Also, I feel like ECDub is sort of coasting along because they still have two and a half months to prepare for their PPV. However, it makes the show look like it has no direction currently. I kind of wish things picked up a bit more. In terms of the crossovers, I read that SciFi is strongly encouraging it because they want the ratings to stay steady and/or increase. I'm not sure how I feel about that really. |

There's one thing sure about ECW right now: they will be a match at Survivor Series with 3 teams: Team Raw vs Team Smackdown vs Team ECW. It sounds awesome, but there wasn't much specifications as in the fact that ECW will be there will affect the rules of the Team matches. I was reading that at: WWE's website. And I think that ECW can build with time more feuds for December To Dismember. |

I bought a new big screen TV, and had a few friends come over to, well, watch stuff. I flipped it over to ECW when it came on. It was pointed out that this new ECW has to be the most gimmick based brand WWE has, and after thinking about it, I think my friends had a point. Tonight we had a drunk, a stripper, a teacher, 2 vampires, a punk (not CM), and a King. While King Booker was just a guest to cover for Big Show's absence, the point still stands. There are a lot of gimmicks in ECW, most of which would never have flew in the original ECW, I'm betting. Ariel has emerged as my absolute favorite WWE diva. I don't know what it is about her, but I adore her. I am not a fan of her new haircut, but that'll grow on me with time. Plus, seeing her (and Sharmell) on my new big screen was friggin sweet! This will most likely be the last ECW show I'll watch for a few months. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit started airing new episodes this week, and they come on during the same timeslot as ECW. I'll willing watch a new SVU episode over ECW (or any other wrestling show) any day of the week. I really hope the rumor of ECW getting a replay comes true. |

It was an enjoyable taping. CM Punk nailed all of his moves again. He's amazing, just amazing. His moves are quite difficult to do, yet he still hasn't screwed up. My friend was on TV during his match. I found that quite funny, although no one probably cares. |

I wonder why they do not let Punk do the Pepsi Plunge? *Edited*
I knew the ratings would drop when the autumn season started. SVU takes my viewership away from ECW. Apparently, other shows are taking lots of viewers as well. |

I don't know. Mabey one of WWE's top employees would take offence to someone doing a top-rope Pedigree.

Yeah, I wonder lol. Actually, that rumor is a total misconception. Punk has stated several times that the Plunge is total hell on his knees so he doesn't like doing it anymore. Who knows, he may surprise us and bust it out once in a while. |

Did Punk (I don't know much about him, really... all I heard it that he's damn good even before debuting on ECW and I've never seen his Indy wrestling) had some previous knee injuries before arriving to ECW that would make him doubt about doing that move? It would be cool to see him pull it against Triple H, since it's a top-rope Pedigree. |

He might've had an injury but I'm not sure. I followed him a bit before is current WWE days but not much. It would explain why he doesn't do the Plunge anymore. |
