All hail King Booker!
|
SRP76: They wouldn't be able to keep pushing him if he lost here. Winner: Umaga rapper150: Winner: Kane Nebuchanezzar: Winner: Umaga CWO: I'd rather have Kane win it more than Umaga. Plain and Simple. Winner: Kane TheWrestlingMachine: I am going with Kane on this one. I think he’s more of a monster than Umaga and hope he gets the win he deserves. Winner: Kane WWEWhoseline48: This is a simple one. Ever since 2003, Kane has not been pushed as a such "Monster." He has lost his whole edge, and has been shuffled way down in the pack. Even though that is true, WWE still pushes Kane as a "Monster." (Weird, huh?) Umaga will certainly go over the "Big Red Machine." Winner: Umaga Cybrus: Kane is just here to put Umaga over as a "monster". WWE has hyped Umaga's undefeated streak far too long for Kane to be the guy that ends it. Easiest call of the night. Winner: Umaga 15 Shows: I'm not 100% sure on this one. Hell not even 50% sure. I really don't have a clue. I'm just hoping that they give Kane the respect he deserves and have him be the one to beat Umaga. Winner: Kane Kametsou: Winner: Umaga Dark-Loner: Winner: Kane 4400TVJunkie: It’s not hard to see that Umaga has been getting a pretty big push but I don’t think it’s for a future title yet. It may be that he’s getting set up to lose to someone else which would make that person look great. So I expect Umaga to take the win here. Winner: Umaga Makeyourself85: If someone has to end Umaga's streak, let it be Kane. Kane looks more likely to win this match. Even if Umaga gets the Samoan Spike, Kane will raise up and Chokeslam his ass for the 1-2-3. Also, I think of AAE as almost the same as I think of Daivari. Winner: Kane Purplemarauder: I see this ending in a no contest. Each man will do some outrageous stuff but the match will be uncontrollable and the ref will call for the bell Winner: No Contest Luke Fittes: Winner: Kane Kane: 7 Umaga: 6 No Contest: 1
SRP76: Based on if the "dopehead" charges are true. Winner: Carlito rapper150: Winner: Carlito WWEWhoseline48: This is a tough match to call. Both of them have had off/on pushes with WWE lately, and they both have been told to act like The Rock. (Again, weird) However, Orton has been diminishing lately, and even though his "Cocky" gimmick is still getting over, WWE officials hopefully make the right decision, and let the person with the true talent, Carlito, win this one. Winner: Carlito MakeYourself85: Even if Carlito could dominate Orton, I think that once he gets that apple on his mouth ready to spit it on Orton's face, Orton will RKO him and get the pin. (I don't like Orton. He's regularly okay and his talent (if he really has it) is wasted, but I think he might win) Winner: Orton TheWrestlingMachine: Gonna be a good match but after what Carlito has been doing to Orton, I see Orton cheating to get this win possibly using the ropes. Winner: Orton Dark-Loner: Winner: Carlito Kametsou: Winner: Orton Nebuchanezzar: Winner: Carlito CWO: Winner: Carlito Cybrus: This one was easy to call until this past week. Now I find myself second-guessing my own prediction. Orton is rumored to have failed a drug test, and while he is suppose to remain on screen he could be "punished" by having to job to Carlito. Also, Carlito got a great reaction from the MSG crowd. Vince is rumored to use the MSG crowd to judge his performers, so Carlito could be in line for a better push. Uh, uh..I think I'll stick with my original prediction. Orton goes over Carlito. Winner: Orton 15 Shows: This is obviously the cOoLeSt match of the night. I have no idea who to cheer for since I love them both. But I think the WWE are going to give Orton take the win to make up for his Summerslam loss. Winner: Orton 4400TVJunkie: If it’s to be believed that Orton failed the drug test (which I do believe), then I expect ’Lito to go over. Which is great because he’s the superior performer in every way. Winner: Carlito Purplemarauder: I don't like this fued, but if they intend to keep it going for a long time, Orton must win by cheating. Winner: Orton Luke Fittes: Winner: Carlito Carlito: 8 Orton: 6
Luke Fittes: Winner: The Highlanders Purplemarauder: The Highlanders need this win. The tag belts are a joke and this could be a nice first step to respectability. The Spirit Squad is useless. Winner: The Highlanders Cybrus: Neither team has as much heat as they did a few months ago. The Spirit Squad have had their moment under the tag-team sun. I expect the Highlanders to win then to start a feud with Cade & Murdoch Winner: The Highlanders MakeYourself85: By now, they seem to be more experienced and they know that they're gonna have to endure the 5 cheerleaders. Maybe Highlanders will get a little bit of help on this one. Winner: The Highlanders Dark-Loner: THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! Winner: Highlanders CWO: I think the Spirit Squad might win this. Though the Highlanders could come up with the upset. Winner: Spirit Squad Kametsou: Winner: The Highlanders TheWrestlingMachine: The SS has gone sour and I think the Highlanders are gonna get this one. Winner: The Highlanders Nebuchanezzar: Winner: The Highlanders WWEWhoseline48: This will be the breaking point for the male cheerleaders. They've proved in the past few months, that they cannot get the job done, against the biggest face group in the buisness, and even though they're not showing it, there has to be animosity swelling amognst them. I see the Highlanders winning this one, in the first (or last) step of the disbanding of the SS. Winner: The Highlanders rapper150: Winner: The Highlanders 15 Shows: If the rumor about the split is true, then it should begin at Unforgiven with them losing there titles. Winner: The Highlanders 4400TVJunkie: Seems like time is running out for the Spirit Squad as we get closer to Sunday, which is sad since they’ve been pretty much buried these last few months. If they retain here, it’ll arguably be the biggest surprise of the night. Winner: The Highlanders SRP76: Just because the Spirit Squad has had the title long enough. Winner: The Highlanders Highlanders: 13 Spirit Squad: 1
Cybrus: Trish will score a few close-calls and may appear to be winning the match, but she will ultimately job. Since this is both a title match and Trish's last match, then it does no good to put the title on her. She'll either have to forfeit the title or she'll retire the title with her. I don't see either situation working well. I do think Trish will give another farewell speach after her match. Winner: Lita Purplemarauder: I am going to go out on a limb here and say Trish will win and retire as champ. This would lead to a battle royal to crown a new champ and start a new fued for the womens title. Winner: Trish Luke Fittes: Winner: Trish CWO: Why make a person a champion in their final match? It's not like they're going to defend the title after it. Winner: Lita Kametsou: Winner: Trish 15 Shows: They’re in Toronto and it's her last match. I think her becoming a 7 time champ is a great way to go out. And then either the women’s title will be vacant or retired. Winner: Trish MakeYourself85: It's her farewell match and she's got more skills than Lita to win the match. Winner: Trish Nebuchanezzar: Winner: Lita TheWrestlingMachine: I think Trish is gonna win this match for a going away present type of deal but will hand the title back to Lita. Winner: Trish 4400TVJunkie: I see Trish winning the championship in her hometown in her last match ever followed by an awesome farewell speech. Winner: Trish Dark-Loner: Winner: Trish WWEWhoseline48: This reminds me exactly of Mick Foley's appearance at WrestleMania 2000. He put in a valliant effort, but still succumbed to the "Heel" power. I see Trish put up the same effort, and though the aftermath seems sketchy, Lita will pull a heel tactic and steal the victory. Winner: Lita rapper150: The next day Trish will probably be in a "You're Fired" Match against Mickie James. Winner: Trish SRP76: You couldn't have Edge lose his Title, but Lita retain hers, could you? Winner: Trish Trish: 10 Lita: 4
SRP76: Jeff's Insta-Push will continue, I think. Winner: Jeff Hardy rapper150: Winner: Johnny Nitro WWEWhoseline48: I have a good feeling about Hardy. After getting the victory after DQ, he seems to be on a roll. I don't think they'll have two straight matches end in a "Dirty" finish. Winner: Jeff Hardy 4400TVJunkie: A bit too early for Hardy to win the belt since this feud hasn’t lasted very long. I expect some Melina-ference. Should be a “Spotfest City” type match but it’ll still be good. Winner: Johnny Nitro Nebuchanezzar: Winner: Jeff Hardy 15 Shows: It's too soon to give Hardy a belt. But we might see the Hardy Boys reunion afterwards. Winner: Johnny Nitro MakeYourself85: I think it's too early for Jeff to win the IC, plus Nitro has Melina on his side. That bitch will make an influence on this match somehow. Winner: Johhny Nitro Kametsou: Winner: Jeff Hardy TheWrestlingMachine: Nothing against Jeff Hardy but with Melina in Nitro’s corner, I think Nitro has got this one down. Winner: Johnny Nitro Dark-Loner: Winner: Jeff Hardy Cybrus: Both men like to show off in the ring, so this could be a very entertaining match. I think it is too soon for Hardy to win the gold. Plus, the feud has been booked in his favor a bit too much. Nitro retains and this feud continues through the next PPV. Winner: Johhny Nitro CWO: I think it's to early to put the belt on Hardy. I'd wait a few more weeks before he actually wins the title. I think Nitro will definitely win this one. Winner: Johnny Nitro Purplemarauder: In the who cares match I am going with Hardy simply because he is getting a huge push right now and I don't see it slowing down. Winner: Jeff Hardy Luke Fittes: Winner: Jeff Hardy Jeff Hardy: 7 Johhny Nitro: 7
MakeYourself85: Because without Big Show on the McMahon's side, Vince and Shane would get their asses raped, unless the use of weapons is involved. Winner: DX Dark-Loner: Winner: DX 4400TVJunkie: This feud sucks, plain and simple. This better be the end of this crap on Sunday. I don’t see DX breaking up or Shawn getting “injured” yet. Perhaps X-Pac will make an appearance? Nah. Maybe Sabu will show up to intefere. Winner: DX Cybrus: For the love of the wrestling gods, let this be the blow-off match! We've been watching McMahon vs HBK, in one way or another, for over a year now! HBK is rumored to need knee surgery. I think Big Show was placed in this match to put HBK on the injury list, but DX, by means of Triple H, will ultimately win the match. I see two possible scenarios. Firstly, Big Show will take out HBK, and the three will then beat up Triple H. Triple H will then "hulk up" and win the match. HBK will disappear for a few months (taking DX with him) and Triple H will continue battling as face against whomever Vince throws in his way. Another scenario is that during the match the cage gets busted open (which is common in HIAC matches). After Big Show takes out HBK, then the trio will focus on Triple H. X-Pac will make his return by interfering in the match and saving Triple H. Triple H will win the match, HBK goes on the shelf for a few months, and DX continues with Triple H and X-Pac. I hate the second scenario so I'm pulling for the first. I'm also silently hoping that Vince's character goes away after Triple H wins the match, but that's probably asking for too much. Winner: DX WWEWhoseline48: Let's face it. D-X overcame the odds once before. No doubt they'll do it again. Winner: DX Nebuchanezzar: Winner: DX Purplemarauder: This should be the blow off match to this fued. I see DX winning and HBK getting injured. This lets HHH get a singles face run (to beat Edge?) and HBK time to recovery from his injuries. Winner: DX rapper150: Winner: DX 15 Shows: With the Hell In A Cell King, Triple H, how could DX lose?? Winner: DX TheWrestlingMachine: I can’t wait for this match the outcome, in my opinion it’s gonna be d-x winning after sledge hammer shots. Winner: DX SRP76: The McMahons never come out on top of any feud...why would this one end differently? Winner: DX Luke Fittes: Winner: DX Kametsou: Winner: DX CWO: I think DX's run is ending soon. And having them win this match could be sort-of a good way to end the storyline. Then again, they continue the storyline after this anyways. Winner: DX DX: 14 McMahons/Big Show: 0
Luke Fittes: Winner: Edge Purplemarauder: I think the best move if for Cena to lose and go to Smackdown. It freshens up both brands. Edge establishes himself as a good champion and can move on to a new fued. Cena goes to Smackdown and improves the roster at the main event level. Eventually he would probably take the title. Winner: Edge TheWrestlingMachine: I think Cena will win this one cause of everything Edge has done to him he’s gonna be ready for a fight. Winner: Cena Cybrus: This one is difficult to predict all due to the fact that if Cena loses, then he goes to SmackDown! for three years. On the one hand, Cena is WWE's premiere performer. He's gone over everybody for nearly 2 years, gets the best reaction crowd (although, not always positive), and sells tons of merchandise. Raw is WWE's flagship show, and Vince usually likes to keep his premiere athletes on his flagship show. On the other hand, SmackDown! is really hurting in terms of star power. The brand is also set to debut on a new network (which I honestly cannot tell any difference between UPN), and is rumored to have contract negotiations coming up. The brand could use Cena's draw and Cena, himself, could use the brand to help define his character as either a face or heel and not the tweener he often is. I've gone back and forth between the two options, and I think that WWE is going to send Cena to SmackDown! Although, I guess it is entirely possible that Cena could win the WWE Title and still decide to sign the SD! contract, which would allow WWE to keep the spinning tile for another year. Nah. Edge wins, Cena goes to SmackDown. Winner: Edge Kametsou: Winner: Edge MakeYourself85: Looks like a much better champion at this time and he's doing a great job as a heel. He's the local for this one and he might get more help on this match than Cena. Winner: Edge Nebuchanezzar: Winner: Cena 15 Shows: It just better happen. Winner: Edge WWEWhoseline48: What better way to begin their journey onto the CW network, then bringing in the Winner: Edge rapper150: Winner: Edge CWO: It's almost obvious that Vince isn't going to let Cena go to Smackdown, so it seems that he will win, without a doubt Winner: Cena SRP76: I don't think they'll be kind enough to take Cena off my TV screen. Winner: Cena 4400TVJunkie: The most important match on the card, and perhaps the most anticipated match this year! The E finally did something right and somewhat re-energized a fued that had long gone stale. Adding the SD stipulation to it really put some spice into the match. The WWE seems to be really confident in Edge as champion and I think he’s shown a lot these past few months. He’s great on the mic, good in the ring, and one of top heels in the business today. Cena going to SD would do wonders for the show, though it still has it’s problems that one man can’t solve in one swoop. Anyway, I’m fully expecting Edge to retain here. Winner: Edge Dark-Loner: Winner: Edge Edge: 10 Cena: 4 Well, that about wraps up the debut of the PPV Roundtable. The scores will go up shortly after the PPV has concluded. Thanks to everyone who participated and good luck! |

Yeah, ok I'll do it. I don't really see the point of doing it through the PM system though. It's not as if answers can be copied or anything, and if matches are added to the PPV later on, then it's much easier to simply edit a post in this topic. It's just so much easier to do it in topic, rather than through PM's. Plus, if new members come along, if it's in a topic it makes it more inviting to them. Lastly, I would take a great interest (as would other people) in seeing what people have predicted. Everything else on this site is doing through the forums, and seeing as this is a forum, I reckon it'd be cool to do it on the forum rather than through PM's. Have I convinced anyone yet? :dunno: |

The only reason I wanted everyone's predictions via PM was just to cut and paste into the thread later on, if that makes sense. I didn't do it for fear of anyone copying. I'm assuming copying meaning "I should change my answer to Edge because so-so did and his/her answer makes more sense." Is that what you mean? Anyway, your post reminded me of something. I don't wanna be known as strictly the only person in charge of the Roundtable. There may be times where I'm unavailable to set it up. I'd like to give anyone else a chance that thinks they can run it differently and/or better with their ideas like yours. So maybe for the next PPV which I'm thinking would be No Mercy (?), you could run it Neb, or anyone else for that matter. |

My solution is to simply let everyone post their predictions in the thread, then there's no need to have anyone to run it when you're away. When you are here, you'd still take care of making sure everyone has put forth their entries, setting up the cut-off dates and checking everyone's answers and stuff. I'm not trying to steal your thunder or anything (a poor figure of speech), I think it would be easier to do it the thread instead of through PM's is all. If making everything neat is an issue, you could simply put an extremely summarised version of it at the end or something. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
|
The first paragraph makes a lot of sense to me. Maybe people would think since certain person predicted this, then someone else would base their answer becuase of what one chosen. And that takes pretty much away the element known as suspense. But what if something happens just like TGAB (wrestlers replaced or removed)? I mean, a last minute match change. I think for that case, people should PM the person in charge of it with their new vote, right? |
