Since Sting is in TNA at the moment, I'll move it there. As for the Sting I liked the most, I prefer the original one when he beat Flair for the NWA title, to me, it just seemed like he was willing to do almost anything to please the crowd, and since he ran his "Crow" gimmick, he seemed to have slowed down a bit. I'm a Sting fan no matter what, but I just think he was more agile during his blonde hair with different face paint schemes, which was something along with The Road Warriors in which I liked, I was a big fan of face paint cause to me it just looked cool...well atleast the ones I mentioned. I do admit though, when Sting was dropping from the rafters and kicking the crap outta the NWA, I was marking out alot, that was probably my favorite part of the present gimmick. |

Sting has never been in WWE/F, so I'm not sure what you are talking about here. ![]() Much like O, I enjoy the blonde spiked hair, neon color wearing Sting from the early 90s. He was much more entertaining than the "darker" Sting that came about during the nWo angle. The neon Sting showed more signs of life. The "darker" Sting, for the most part, just stands there making a face.

WWE owns WCW's footage, so they have been showing older clips that feature Sting. Perhaps that's what confused you? |

Your Name Here

I personally was always a huge fan of the 'crow' Sting, but that's cause when i was like 5 that was the only Sting i knew. All i remebered is that he was someone who just looked badass. I also liked the Undertaker alot, so maybe that is why the Sting from WCW was my favorite. I guess i'd have a different opinion on things now, seeing as i know more about the buisness and such. |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
Add another vote for "oldschool" Sting. When he first came out with the whole Alice Cooper facepaint/ Brandon Lee persona, I thought, "ripoff! ripoff!". I was angry that WCW was simply copying other things, and passing them off as "their character". |

I'm surprised WCW was never sued over the gimmick. WCW was mainstream at the time, so people had to be aware of the rip-off. And it's not like they just used the base character, they basically ripped the entire Crow movie. They had the betrayal, the face paint, the dark clothing, the trench coat, the mysterious appearances, the bird, hell, they even took the speech! |
