Cons:
*Cena's Customized Belt returned too quickly.

The entire main event was booked poorly. They gave no explanation why DX would pair with Cena, even though Triple H spent half of this year feuding with him. They introduced Cena prior to DX, and the champ should always be introduced last to get the top billing. Cena should not do crotch chops. DX put Edge away even though Cena is the one feuding with him. It was all bad.

All things considered, I'd say it was an average show. Not horrible, not great.

Cybrus, you're awesome. I was hoping someone would mention this. The main event bothered me in so many ways other than the actual wrestling aspect.

1. Cena, the WWE champ, comes out before DX? He's the champion, he should be coming out last. DX are two old guys, doing a long dead gimmick, with no titles on them. Immediately, when he came out first, I knew things would be bad for some reason.

2. For Cena getting his butt kicked earlier in the show by the three heels, he was hardly in the match. Why didn't we get to see him and Edge square off at least? This whole match came off of what they started in the beginning of the show.

3. The ending sequence. Edge eats Sweet Chin Music and a Pedigree. Was that really necessary? They have no beef with Edge so why are they giving him the ending beating? Way to make him look weaker since he doesn't have the belt anymore Vince. On top of that, Cena didn't even get to FU let alone touch him. Why would DX feel the need to finish him off when it's Cena that should be doing that? Cena had to stand around looking stupid when they did this. Even when they were celebrating, DX was off to one side while Cena was walking around in the ring like a lost puppy.

4. The pyro ending. Cena doing the whole pyro shtick with DX was ridiculous. They should be emulating him in some way as champ, not the other way around, but because they're DX, they get it their way.

People say Cena is the top dog in the E but Trips is subtlely dropping hints that he's the real #1 guy. I'd bet that once he breaks away from DX and stays a face, he'll be the #1 babyface. Who knows, Cena may only be holding the title for him.
Anyway, not only was this main event bad, but DX completely overshadowed Edge and Cena. Edge looked like a wuss while Cena looked like a nobody champ. A champ that DX (more along the lines of Hunter) is bigger than.

I don't think Triple H will be able to be the number 1 face. He's never played a good face except for when he was a part of DX. After DX splits, then Triple H will become a heel again in no time.

Maybe but I heard a couple rumours that one, Trips wanted to remain a face for the rest of his career. Which I think is wierd because he still has a good 5 years in him so he'd be a face for five full years I guess? Two, I heard he wanted to feud with a heel Orton. Like I said, just rumours which are probably a bit twisted or are flat out not true.

I agree in that Triple H has never been a good face but even as a heel, he bores me. The same old 15 minute promo about how great he is and blah blah blah.

I've read those same two rumors, I just don't think they are plausible. Well, the Orton/Triple H feud could happen (even though we've seen it already and it wasn't worthy of repeating), but I don't think Triple H can pull off a solo face run for even three months, never mind the rest of his career. He's just not likeable enough, at least not in the way that faces should be liked. Then again, he did manage to play a believable (albeit stale) heel for some 5 or 6 years straight. Maybe he'll surprise me. I don't expect him to, but it's within the realm of possibilities.

This was a horrendous RAW, only with two real brightspots.

1. The beginnging segment, after Edge came out: Even though I dislike Cena, I have to give him credit for one move. After Edge got the cheap heat from the crowd, Cena said something to the effect of: "Edge, it took only 30 seconds for these fans to adore you, to them wanting me to kick your ass!" Cena got a huge pop for that one. I have to give him that one; awesome line.

-Even though I liked that part, I still have my discouraging remarks towards it. Keeping Cena's venture to SmackDown! alive, wouldn't have been much more awesome if Cena would go into the ring, followed by Edge, with him asking for a remath? Then, Cena could have been like "Well, there's just two problems. First, we're too beaten up from Unforgiven. Second, this is the last time i'll ever be on RAW. Last night, I signed a contract to go to SmackDown!" Or even Cena agreeing to a rematch, with Teddy Long coming in, and telling him he couldn't, since he was SD!'s property, now. I would have loved for that to happen.

2. That six man match was pure awesome. The last few minutes were some of the best action on RAW the entire year. Everybody getting in their finisher, with all of the counters, etc., then Nitro coming in and stealing it. Just fantastic stuff.

-Where WWE dropped the ball; wouldn't it have been so much better, if they dropped Masters, who lost for two weeks, and replaced him with Benjamin? I mean, come on, WWE! You had the chance to make the match better than it already was, but you dropped the ball. Although, Benjamin's "It's because i'm black" comment made me laugh out loud.

Agreed. Definately.

The 9/18 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw last night drew a final 3.7 cable rating with a 6 share. Although this is up from last week's lower 3.6 rating, it still isn't in the range the show had been averaging lately.

In comparison, ESPN's Monday Night Football game (Steelers/Jaguars) did a strong 10.6 cable rating. That set an all-time ratings record for ESPN last night.
