It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

Dark Match:

- Val Venis defeated Rob Conway with a Money Shot.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings:

- JBL joins Michael Cole at ringside for commentary.

- A promo is shown with Smackdown GM Teddy Long and World Heavyweight Champion King Booker (with Sharmell). They complain to Long about having to face Vito tonight. Long then cancels the match and then tells Booker he will be facing The Undertaker tonight instead.

- Batista & Bobby Lashley defeated Finlay & William Regal. Lashley hit Regal with a Spear to get the pinfall, while Batista attended to Finlay on the outside.

- 2006 WWE Diva Search winner Layla came out. She was followed by Kristal Marshall. Layla and Kristal started to fight when Jillian Hall came out. Jillian took Kristal's top off and did the same to Layla as well.

- Matt Hardy defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms in a Non-Title Match. Said to be a great match. The finish saw the referee go to fix the top turnbuckle when Hardy low blowed Helms to get the win.

- The Miz defeated Funaki.

- Clips of John Cena in "The Marine" were shown.

- Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero ended in a No Contest when Vickie Guerrero got involved.

- Paul London & Brian Kendrick defeated The Pitbulls (Kid Kash & Jamie Noble) & The Teacher's Pets (K.C. James & Idol Stevens) to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles. London pinned Noble to get the win for his team.

- Backstage, Elijah Burke introduced Sylvester Terkay as an All-American.

- Sylvan then came out and got what was described as the biggest pop of the night. He got on the mic and told the Montreal crowd that it was good to be back and added regardless of who comes out, he doesn't only have to take on himself, but he has to take on everyone here in Montreal. That got another big reaction.

- Sylvan defeated Tatanka using the ropes. Another huge pop for his win from the Montreal crowd.

- The Undertaker defeated World Heavyweight Champion King Booker via DQ in a Non-Title Match. WWE U.S. Champion Mr. Kennedy was at ringside doing commentary. Undertaker gave Booker a Tombstone after the match.

- John Cena advertised for Smackdown: We have gotten word that a graphic hit the screen promoting WWE Champion John Cena, Batista & Bobby Lashley vs. King Booker, Finlay & William Regal for next week on Smackdown.

Looks much more better than this week's Raw in general, except for that jackass Miz winning again. Layla finally appears (guess that all the DS winners go to SD). And Cena advertized for Smackdown?? Hmm... sounds interesting.

Oh, GAG!!

We all had it wrong; some thought we'd be rid of Cena on RAW to go and try to boost SmackDown! ratings, and others thought WWE would keep him on RAW, so we could avoid him by watching SmackDown! instead.

They now throw us a hideous curveball, and put Cena EVERYWHERE!!

We can't escape him....

I can understand why WWE scrapped Booker vs Vito, but wouldn't it have been a smarter move just to promote the Booker vs Taker match? WWE uses Taker as a "special attraction". Why not promote his rare matches as a way to boost ratings?

Ahem... during the Raw commercials, they promoted Undertaker (as well as Booker, Rey, Kennedy,Batista...) appearing on the SD debut on CW. So people might tune in to watch him.

I hope SD gets better ratings...

The promo did promote Taker, but it didn't say he'd be wrestling in a match against the World Champion. They announced the (dud) match of Booker vs Vito last week on SD! Directly promoting Booker vs Taker would probably bring in more views than promoting Booker vs Vito, then switching the event.

It could have been that they couldn't because they weren't planning on changing the Vito-Booker T match.

In fact, I don't know why they did change. Something we don't know about (yet) may have happened, causing a sudden change.

I'll agree, but don't these kind of promos that announces wrestlers appearing means that they will fight, no matter the rival? Notice that on the promo, there was no mention of Vito.

Still does'nt look like anything worth watching, the two tag matches sounds decent, seems like they are running a feud for a bit with Hardy and Helms.

The whole Chavo/Mysterio thing involving Vicky.....still if fucking stupid, how long are they going to drag this story out?

Having a main event end in a DQ does'nt give the show much credibility either, I mean like it was said, where's the hype? There's nothing that I've heard of lately that would have Taker go after the WHC, where's the build up to this? I guess it was just a match to start a feud for a bit, but still it's nothing that makes me want to be like "this is going to be a really good show".

Both Raw and SD! have been slacking lately, and though ECW has'nt had the best main events, it still seems to better than both 2 hour shows have been for a bit now.

question: why does The Miz still have a job? i swear, he's the most annoying person on WWE's roster. watching Miz in a match or segment makes me want to poke my eyes out with a hot poker.

until the fans decide to riot. WWE is hellbent on bringing up Eddie Guerrero, whenever they can.....probably because he's still a bigger draw then half the freakin' roster.

Sad thing is a dead wrestler's memory is getting more pushed than some of the living wrestlers SD has.

Smackdown's Preview

Challenge from the grave
WWE.com has also learned that Vito has voluntarily surrendered his opportunity at King Booker's World Heavyweight Championship on Friday. Instead, the dress-wearing fan-favorite has passed the match on to the legendary Undertaker. What will happen when the Deadman makes a rare SmackDown appearance and enters King Booker's Royal SmackDown Kingdom at the huge CW premiere?

And people always check the website, so maybe the attention to watch SD "will rise". Plus, it's a new channel where is it going to air.

All hail King Booker!
This week's SD was awesome! Everything and everyone had a lot of energy and the Montreal crowd definitely helped. All the matches were good except maybe the Miz because he's so damn annoying. Sylvan got a superstar reaction, really. It rivaled Batista's who was pretty big. For once, Sylvan looked like a superstar wrestler, it was pretty amazing. The opening match was good but nothing we haven't seen before. Batista looked more agressive than usual.

I'll keep saying SD has the better tag division of the brands because they do. That tag match was really entertaining and the fans were into it. I thought Gymini would be coming back to add another team but they've been shipped to DSW. I think Cryme Tyme should've been put on SD. I was sad to see Ashley didn't come out with the Hooliganz, I thought she was their permanent manager. Maybe not.

I hate to say it but I'm starting to get into this Mysterio/Chavo feud. It's moved on from the "Eddie's name" stage and is kinda of moving into a just plain Guerrero name thing. Their match was pretty hot and intense, as they fought in the crowd for about 5 minutes straight. I don't mind seeing Vickie anymore as much, as long as she doesn't talk.

Hardy and Helms put on a great match as usual. Matt had his first win in how long now? Their fued is staying hot, I just wished they'd get some mic work thrown in there to keep it going.

The main event was also good, it was nice seeing Taker again. Kennedy on commentary wasn't as funny as Booker being there, but I liked the facial expressions he was making. He looked scared s*itless during the whole match. He's got his hands full at No Mercy.

Overall, a great show, I hope they can keep this up. Next week's main event should be interesting. I wonder what tonight's rating will be and the ratings in the future.

The Miz is the most annoying character I think I've seen since Eugene.

I did'nt pay much attention to his match with one of the other jobbers for life.

Plus I did'nt catch it till like the middle, the tag match was great, that's the type I'd like to see more often.

Rey and Chavo has always had good matches, since the WCW days and even though I could care less about Vicky, they still can go.

But I got to thinking last night on that note, I'm not really to big on Vicky being part of some storyline then it hit me, in defense for her, it's good that she's doing instead of dwelling at home about Eddie and keeping her mind busy, sometimes that helps out.

The main event was'nt that bad neither till the DQ happened which I did'nt like.

Sylvan got a huge pop, the biggest of the night I think, it was weird but not really.
