For those of you that don't know, two female fans were ejected at Unforgiven after being accused of spitting on Cena by the referree. The ladies and eyewitnesses around them swore up and down that there was no spitting involved (though some neanderthal did throw beer at him). It was a case of the referee and security guards overreacting. Anyway, the girls released a statement as to what happened. It's a long read though.....

We can give you the absolute positive best analysis of the "spitting incident" as we are the girls who got ejected. First off, we have attended all but 3 of the WWE PPV's this year, and almost all of the PPV's last year and the year before, ALWAYS sitting in the first 3 rows. My best friend (we'll call her by her nickname Peanut) and I (I'll refer to myself as Pink Haired Girl as that is how people know me best), had phenomenal seats for Unforgiven. For the first time in quite a while we decided to bring signs. We had the following "Cena had Cooties"; "Cena is a Dee, Dee, Dee" (a reference to Edge's role on Mind of Mencia); "Sex & Violence" and "Randy Orton Afro-Killer". Our signs were very closely examined multiple times but as they had no profanity on them we were allowed to keep them.
Throughout the show, we were your basic wrestling fans. We heckled Melina, and then were basically quiet until the RKO/Carlito match where we cheered on RKO. After that match Edge came out. Peanut & I held up our signs and Edge gave us the nod. We loudly cheered for Edge and took part in the many, many anti-Cena chants.
As the match went on Cena came out of the ring right in front of us. I leaned forward and started heckling him, I yelled "You s*ck, come back to WWE when you learn how to wrestle", Peanut leaned over and yelled "Cena s*cks, Edge is better" (and we yelled more, but I honestly can't recall). At NO point in time did either of us ever attempt to touch John Cena, nor did either of us ever spit at John Cena.
I will be the first to admit that Peanut and I are fun fans who get into the matches and try to get the crowd going. We have never been, nor would we ever be disrespectful to the wrestlers. Despite how we feel about John Cena, we feel that way about John Cena the character and not John Cena the man, and to spit at someone is just low and disgusting.
After the ref yelled at me, I told him that I did not spit on Cena and he insisted I did and for lack of a better way to put it, "freaked out" on me. I continued to insist that Peanut and I did not spit at all. The ref then went over the bald security guard (who's name I do not know, although we have seen him very often and he has recognized us at events outside of PPV's). The security guard called us over. I told Peanut to sit and I would go over and handle it, figuring that I could speak with him and assure him that neither of us spit on John Cena. The security guard refused to listen to me and said that he didn't care, we were out of there. I then had to beg him to let me go back and get my signs & purse, which he finally begrudgingly allowed me to do.
Peanut & I then left the aisle where we were escorted by Air Canada Staff out of the main portion of the Arena. Once we were in the back area they asked us what occurred and Peanut & I explained what happened. Again, we both denied that we had spit on John Cena. The staff at Air Canada were very nice to us and I do believe that they knew we were telling us the truth. We were told that unfortunately, even though this may have been a mix up and we were wrongly accused, WWE staff told them that we had to leave and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with someone from WWE to try to explain what happened, but no one from WWE would speak to us.
One of the security guards said that he would go back and tell the remainder of our friends where they could meet up with us after the show. The second security guard was kind enough to take my name and telephone number and was going to give it to the Head of Security for Air Canada, who in turn was going to pass it on to WWE. (A nice gesture, but I would be a fool to believe that WWE will ever actually contact me over the incident).
We then waited out front for the rest of our friends. After the show, we were approached by quite a large number of people who saw the incident and were asking us what happened. When we told them what happened they expressed disgust, said they were sorry and went on their way. I must admit, I was very surprised to see that we were recognized by so many as such frequent fans.
I was told (and this is simply a repeat of what my friend told me occurred after I left) that one of the security guards that we see all the time (I will leave his name out so as not to cause any trouble), approached the bald security guard and asked him what happened because he couldn't believe that we had been ejected. The bald security guard then loudly responded (loud enough for my friend to clearly hear over the noise of the match) "I see them all the time and they are always rowdy and they get way to excited so I threw them the hell out". The other security guard looked appalled but at this point there was nothing he could do. One of the cameramen that we always see also came to our defense and was stunned by the incident as well. Again, this is simply what I was told, as I obviously could not witness the conversation.
As I stated earlier, Peanut & I have been to almost every PPV that WWE has held in the last three years. There has never been any problems with us in the past and there was no problem with us at Unforgiven. At this point in time, Peanut and I have tickets to "No Mercy" and we will attend that as we've already paid for our tickets and booked our hotel room. But after this I think that we're going to end up taking a break from the shows, which is sad as many people have already attested to, we've gone to hundreds of shows in the last few years (PPV's, tapings & house shows). We've taken weekend trips that the car ride alone was 15+ hours just to go to PPV's and we didn't deserve to be treated the way we were last night.
We don't expect WWE to offer free tickets, send us t-shirts, or any recourse such as that, and honestly, we don't want that. Peanut & I work hard and pay for the things we get in life. We're not looking for anything for free, so please don't think that by saying the things we are, that we are out to get anything. The only thing that Peanut & I are looking for, is an apology. We feel that is owed to us. We have given a lot to WWE over the years and have been loyal fans despite the recent decline.
Sincerely, Pink Haired Girl & Peanut

Wow, it seems to me security is to tight. I mean they could have done worse, but they kick people out for throwing plastic water bottles. I mean, wrestlers should expect some stuff...muscians gets bottles filled with piss thrown at them. Wrestlers have had worse, but it's nothing you can't wash off. If they did spit on Cena, who cares...they could have done much worse. But the fact that they didn't spit on him...just makes it unfair.

Just because people throw garbage at other types of entertainers doesn't make it right. Would you want some one throwing piss or beer at you? These people are going out doing their hardest to entertain everyone, putting their bodies on the line, and you literally spit and throw garbage on them for their effort? I don't care that those girls cussed out Cena because most wrestlers get cussed out at ringside and words are just words. But no one has the right to throw garbage at someone just because they don't like them. It's really sad to see that it's the adults doing that kind of stuff and the kids are seeing this behavior. If you know wrestling is fake, why take it to heart by throwing trash at somebody? Almost everything you're watching isn't real.
I don't think the girls spit on him because I saw the part where they were yelling at him and I didn't see anyone spit though I did see him get hit with the beer. It was totally disrespectful. I'll never condone that kind of behavior from those type of fans because it's wrong.

When people do this stuff in wrestling they are mad because the booking team, booked that person to win. that's what the ECW crowd did in Philadelphia. Remember?

That sucks for these women.
You got a point, Master Rah. But Junkie is also right when a entertainer of any kind shouldn't get thrown piss or beer becuas eof their job. But when there's complaining, something is going wrong. People will protest against things that they don't like.
(Sorry for off-topic) Now imagine if all the audience at the Montreal Screwjob were just like the ECW Hammerstein Ballroom fans. Imagine the riot becuase of the way Bret lost.

Well i never said it was something right to do. Cause i agree with you, but i'm saying they should suspect this from fans. It's what everyone does, i mean...people throw bombs on the field on soccer games in Englad...or where ever i've seen those clips from. Entertainment isn't a great buisness...your in the public's eye. It leads for alot of garbage and waste products to get thrown at you. I mean i think it's stupid when fans get kicked out for throwing things that aren't going to hurt anyone. I mean in ROH you can throw toliet paper...it's just for fun. But i can totally see what you are talking about, and i totally agree.

Oh, really? Then, Cristiano Ronaldo would have been bombed at England right after returning from the World Cup.

Totally lame. I point out the following ...
- Quote:
-
I asked to speak with someone from WWE to try to explain what happened, but no one from WWE would speak to us.
Tsch. Good one WWE. I'd like to quote a line spoken by Homer Simpson, to former president Bush. "Hiding behind your goons ey Bush?" It works just as well in this context than in any other. Furthermore...
- Quote:
-
The bald security guard then loudly responded (loud enough for my friend to clearly hear over the noise of the match) "I see them all the time and they are always rowdy and they get way to excited so I threw them the hell out". The other security guard looked appalled but at this point there was nothing he could do.
Clearly, one security is familiar with the context that wrestling is in and how fans behave when they're excited, and the bald security has no freaking idea. I really must challenge the WWE in hiring security that has no idea how wrestling fans react to things, which brings me to Master-Rah's post.

I don't know who said that, but they're a bloody douchebag. It only mentions trash in there, but the implications are that an adult who enjoys wrestling should sit there silently and leave the heckling to children. What bullshit.

All I have to say about this is, the Canadian fans own. We totally kicked ass, and seperated ourselves from the regular crowds. Even when they were in Winnipeg, and we have half the crowd that some american crowds get, yet we were louder, it only proves the intelligeance level of the two countries, and how easily convinced some people are. But the american I.Q level is a whole nother topic, which I don't mind getting into. But the Canadian crowds are the best, hands down. There are some American cities that impress me, like Chicago.

I've just seen animations of it. Some guy got hit in the face with a molotov cocktail. I don't know who it was, but it was definently a soccer game.

Well, some wrestlers are okay with having tissue or stuff thrown at them . Because when this happens, they KNOW that they are getting heat either if that coutry hates them or if they are Heel. Heels WANT people to hate them, so that's why people who play heels are okay with it. In Cena's case since he is a FACE, he wants people to like him...but, when Cena's is in places wher he gets a lot of heat from, then he is okay with it. that means, that he is infact the Heel to the crowd, so Cena should have no problem with a place that hates him. If a place hates him, than Cena will say something corny to make them hate him more....my guess.

"Peanut" and "Pink-Haired Girl"... WTF?
Anyways, they sound innocent to me. If I were them, I wouldn't even think of going to another WWE event again, unless I got an apology.

Yes, name calling, that's all it is. I would have thought that most of us here would be above getting offended by the word, douchebag. Obviously not.
Secondly, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, read closer. Like it or not, the movements behind that post were saying that adults should not act like kids at a wrestling event. Whether that refers to trash throwing or yelling insults is irrelevant to me. The vibe I was getting from that post, is that adults should sit there and shuttup during a wrestling event, which is totally wrong. Wrestling has always been an interactive event with regards to an audience, and if we're at a stage where two young women can be ejected for actually interacting with the wrestlers, then this isn't the form of entertainment I once thought it was.

You completely got the wrong vibe from my post and you are continuing to get the wrong vibe from it. I don't know how much I can break it down for you so I won't.
Also, when someone calls me a name that implies that I'm an idiotic asshole, I tend to get offended. Douchebag is not exactly a term you use to praise someone, don't you think?

As Master_Rah said, if you look through a lot of my old posts, and current ones too, you'll see that the word douchebag along with other compound words such as assclown, faggothead etc pop up quite a bit. I guess if you're not familiar with my posting style, then I can hardly blame you.

I remember watching this documentary on the NWO and when they first became the NWO, Scott Hall even said that there's a line where that fans can't cross and throwing trash in the ring is where they cross. But oddly enough fans continued to throw things in the WCW ring as the years went on.
