ECW.com has learned that Extreme Strip Poker starring all WWE Divas and ECW Vixens will take place on a can't-miss edition of ECW on Sci Fi on Oct. 10.

For the first time ever, ECW Vixens and RAW and SmackDown Divas alike will compete to keep their clothes - and this time, the sexiest women on television are at the mercy of the deck.

From full-house to royal flush, one thing is for sure, no matter which femme fatale gets dealt the best hand, the real winners will be ECW on Sci Fi viewers.

Which Diva or Vixen will bring her poker face to ECW in less than three weeks? How will the Vixens and Divas prepare for this provocative game of chance? Tune in to ECW on Sci Fi this week, as well as RAW and SmackDown to find out. And, don't miss the must-see edition of ECW on Sci Fi on Oct. 10.

You know they cannot show anything. I know they cannot show anything. Good thing SVU is showing new episodes.

Unless Vince shells out some big bucks to the FCC or puts this on HBO or Showtime, it's all some sort of plot device used to push some new angle.

Are they doing this cause they think it'll boost ratings or just because they have nothing else to fill time.

Either way, it's pointless.

Unless Shelly wins.

She won't show anymore than she already shows every week at ringside.

I wouldn't mind it if they advertised flat out that it'll go no further than bra and panties (or holding their own boobs after the top comes off, a la Kelly Kelly), but they really shouldn't lead people continuously with false claims of nudity. Again, you know they cannot show such content. I know they cannot show such content. But I wouldn't be surprised to learn that some people don't know that they cannot show such content and gets upset. Upsetting fans, even naive ones, is a bad business move (unless it's a heel upsetting the fans during a storyline, which is obviously an entirely different matter).

I most likely won't watch, but I still hope they do this as they are going into commercial or as they are coming back from commercial and not do it in one blocked segment.

Another pathetic non-wrestling, decidedly non-ECW segment brought to you by ALOCFWWE.

This doesn't take place until October 10. I wonder why they are promoting it 3 weeks early? Does this mean they'll be some sort of storyline set up over the next few weeks?

But of course, I'm predicting, one or more of the ECW vixens will show up on Raw or SD! and call the divas to some type of challenge, or vice versa.

Here's something I thought was funny but sad.

LOP

The strip poker game appears to be WWE's answer to the heavily-anticipated Shamrock vs. Ortiz III UFC card, which takes place from 8-10PM EST on Spike TV that night.

UFC has been dominating WWE in the domestic buyrate department, and WWE is apparently focused on making sure UFC doesn't bring that dominance to the cable ratings race on October 10 (it should be noted that most within the industry do expect UFC's ratings to at least narrowly top those of ECW on Sci-Fi that night).

Funny cause of what I have in bold, sad cause it's a bad answer to UFC.

Vince should know this already, people are not gonna want to see something with Divas stripping down, unless they go naked...and they won't. It will get interupted. I'm gonna tape ECW on my DVR, and I'm gonna watch the Tito Ortiz vs. Shamrock III match. That should be a good fight. Oh, and yeah, this diva stuff IS a bad answer to UFC's thing.

That's the point. Although, if Vince wants to seriously compete against that, he'll have to make that ECW episode a 2 hour special and at Hammerstein Ballroom with all matches being under Extreme Rules and no WWE guests stars (with the exception of the divas).

Weapons they might have to use: tables, chairs, ladders, beer bottles, announcers table, extra random weapons, a toaster, Striker's chalboard and teacher's accesories, Signapore canes, etc.

And as for Divas go, have Balls fight against Thorn and have Ariel naked cost Balls or Kevin the match.

Main Event could be Big Show vs Dreamer for the ECW title and Show losing. But that won't happen, I think Show's having that title until WM23.

*sigh* Sometimes even all the hot men in tight shorts isn't worth being a female wrestling fan......

I hate when they do stuff like this because as a straight female wrestling fan it does nothing for me except give me a chance to use the fast forward button..

Ugh, more soft-core porn? Ew. This is the reason why I'm anti-porn.

It's just a very desperate attempt for ratings.

But it works doesn't it? I mean, I'd certainly watch an episode of ECW if I knew someone like Maria was gonna get naked on screen. Imagine the PPV numbers if the WWE actually promoted a PPV that guaranteed nudity in it's divas! It'd go through the freaking roof!

But she cannot get naked on screen. U.S. laws doesn't allow nudity on such stations.

I don't think anyone has bought into the idea of this strip poker thing being real, but on PPV it sure as hell would sell. That'd be 100% legal as well. Your laws are a bit weird. Allowing gratuitous violence, but not allowing a bit of harmless nudity? Strange. Every channel is Australia can show nudity if they want, so long as it's on at a suitable time (after 9:00PM I believe).

That's a null and void argument. If you're running a business that's watched predominantly by heterosexual males in the 18-25 demographic, they're obviously gonna want to see some T&A. If T&A is what pulls the viewers in (and it does), then why not go even further and give that demographic what it wants? It'd increase the WWE's mainstream exposure, it'd give them some nice revenue and hopefully pull in some more fans. There's hardly anything wrong with that. Put aside your own personal feelings about wome...porn (:P), and instead look at what the benefits of doing something like that could be.

Even on ppv, they don't show anything so it's almost like going to a strip club where they are there to just tease people.

When Miss Kitty/The Kat stripped at Armageddon 1999, did they show it or did they quickly break away?

The promo itself would make the PPV skyrocket. Didn't Judgement Day (can't remember the year) had high buyings becasue of a Sable/Wilson match?

I thought if Vince would have pulled this Strip Poker card with the Divas, it would have been well employed at Cyber Sunday. Hence the "cyber" word. Or make a Rated R (no Edge pun intended) PPV to pull this off.

UFC and ECW won't be going head to head so I guess it really does'nt matter what WWECW is doing this night.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that as things stand right now, ECW and UFC will not be going head-to-head on October 10 after all as previously thought.

UFC is now scheduling its live TV special from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, which will feature Tito Oriz vs. Ken Shamrock II, from 8-10pm. There is a slight chance the show could go over five minutes and go head-to-head with ECW, but that is it.

Regarding the Extreme Strik Poker thing:
http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/strippoker/

By the animation, I think it's only featuring Ashley, Candice Michelle, Kelly Kelly, Kristal, Maria and Trinity for Tuesday. 6 women are enough for one deck.

If ALL the Divas from the three brands were involved, I can imagine Mike Knox covering Kelly before she strips, Michelle McCool not stripping because the ECW fans don't deserve seeing her body and Sharmell wouldn't strip because King Booker would say that none of the ECW peasants deserve to see his Queen taht way. Meh.

UFC finally carried its PPV dominance over WWE to the television arena, decisively beating the wrestling company's ECW programming in the Tuesday cable ratings.

UFC's "Ortiz vs. Shamrock III - The Final Chapter" posted a record 3.1 rating, including a 4.3 for the main-event (which tied the Cena-Undertaker match on RAW).

Last night's ECW, fueled by the heavily-hyped "Extreme Strip Poker" game, managed a mere 1.8 rating in the hour after UFC left the air.

WWE initially had no plans to treat last night's ECW as a "special show," since doing so would draw attention to UFC's emergence as a threat in the fighting market. But with the heavy promotion going into the hourlong wrestling program, WWE cannot use the excuse that its dramatic loss only occurred because they offered a throwaway show.

The positive for WWE's number is that the Scream Awards, which followed UFC on Spike, only posted a 0.9 head-to-head with SciFi Network's ECW.

There's a small photo on ECW.com of Maria going at it with Candice Michelle. Well, if you look at the picture closely, you can tell that Maria was wearing a flesh-colored thong during the scene, thus meaning that she wasn't actually nude.

I didn't see the photo when I looked at ECW.com (I may have missed it), but the logic does make sense. Asking the girls to get completely naked in front of cameras, cameramen, sound guys, and Balls Mahoney seems a bit too "extreme".

I've watched a part of the ESP on Youtube. Just put "ecw poker" and you'll get the video, unless WWE takes it off. I had to crack up at Balls and think he and the cameramen are lucky bastards. Still, I think if Vince could have thought about it, this could have worked better at Cyber Sunday and get some additional raise on PPV buyrate. Kristal looked hot.

Some comment I've read from Youtube:

I bet Kurt Angle is wishing he never left WWE now. While he's preparing to be Jarrett's bitch, he could've been in that studio watching them live.

Lmao... and I wonder if this segment would be released on some DVD someday, non-censored.

But hasn't Candice posed for Playboy several times? I can't see why she'd have a problem being naked on a set seeing as there's really not a big difference.

At least the girls saved some of the little dignity they have in not going completely nude.
