I loved it. The RAW ramp gave the show a much better presence, and so did the new grapichs for the show. Now, maybe SmackDown! will get a new arena.....but I highly doubt it since they kept the same theme song. Anyway, SmackDown! was definately better than RAW this week.

Anyway, SmackDown! was definately better than RAW this week.

I have to agree with that point. It was a much better show than RAW, and it also brings me to a point. I'm hearing people saying that "Batista is just as bad as Cena," and that "Batista should be getting Cena reactions." What a load of crap! Cena is in the main event, no matter if he's the champion or not, while 'Tista is wrestling against a mid-carder in the opening match of the night. That is the way people should be pushed; not down our throats. Make it known he's there, but don't put him in every single promo.

And speaking of Cena, he's suddenly now on SmackDown! as well! We can't lose the guy! People are sick of seeing him on RAW, so what does Vince do? Put him on SmackDown! as well. And it goes to show how "Fake" the crowd reactions are. Cena was presumably "Cheered," while we all know that for RAW, people booed the hell out of him.

Other than that, great show. It had a few solid matches, more than what RAW can say. (other than that 6-pack challenge)

Oh, yeah, I actually forgot to mention something: They actually got through the Rey/Chavo thing without making one Eddie Guerrero refrence!

They need to stop pushing Cena, but they won't. I've said this a dozen times, his appeal is women and children. The more Vince shoves Cena down our throats, more suburban white kids want to be like Cena , the more suburban white kids' parents buy their spoiled little mark child 8 years worth of Cena crap, and the more he gets pushed. It's a vicious cycle.

You know, I thought SmackDown! last night was like a 2002-2004 episode of SmackDown! It remided me of a 2004 episode of SmackDown! for some reason.

Agreed.

It was an awesome episode, which involved every division (cruiserweight, tag-team, ect). I enjoyed it more than I thought it was. The Sylvan pop was also astonishing.

Well, it was Quebec, so of course he got a huge pop from the crowd.

normally, i've been finding one or two decent matches on Smackdown. this week, i actually cared enough to watch most of it (forgot about the opening 10 minutes). the triple threat tag match was actually entertaining.

i wish Helms would get to defend his title a little more often. it's getting annoying that he's facing heavyweights, while any decent Cruiserweight Contender is getting moved to other brands or pushed out of the division.

also, i think it's good to see that Batista can be used for more then just being in a main event spot. it helps to build up the ranks, if lower-card wrestlers face the top stars often enough.

Huge pop was a one time deal for Sylvan, since it was at Quebec. 50% the cheers for being Canadian (or more) and the rest for his "Visit Quebec" promo.

All hail King Booker!
Smackdown was awesome this week. I hope they can continue to spit out consistent shows like this one every week. I've always preferred SD over RAW, it just features good wrestling and NO MCMAHONS. That's always a bonus.

I can't wait until Benoit comes back and he gets into the groove of things. Things are really looking up for this brand and I enjoy watching it. It's my must-see show of the week.

Now in terms of Cena being there, what did you guys expect? That he would win the TLC match and never be seen on SD after it? Of course they're gonna put him on the show to boost the ratings as much as they can. It's a pretty smart move if you ask me. I don't mind seeing him there, he doesn't bother me much. The main event next week should be awesome with the King's Court being in the match. I shall be royally rooting for them!

I like the new SD Layout. The new GFX on the Opening Vid are awesome and to make it look like the rafters is immense.

The funniest thing about the show was at the beginning on the stage, it had an SD GFX in the middle while saying Raw on the thin screens/

Yes it is true, consider the expectations for each show, Smackdown was better. Smackdown exeeded its expectations and Raw didnt. But if both shows had the same expectations, then it all comes down to peoples opinion.
