Kane better win or that'll be robbery. Not really looking forward to the diva tournment, half them can't wrestle to save their life. 3 teams in a row for DX, sounds interesting. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
|
It wasn't bad. Spoliers ahead: Weird begining with the lights turned out. But the night began with Lita vs Candice, Edge as the referee. Quickly, the Canadian speared the Go Daddy girl and that was it. Later, Cena showed up. Later, he made jokes about Lita... saying she has a bad defense, lol. Lita: Screw you, Cena. John Cena: I don't have $10. Then, Edge in Lita's behalf challenged Cena to wrestle her, but Cena had one arm tied to his back. A bit interesting. Got a bit more interesting when Coach added extra stuff to it. DX interviewed by Maria. Trips wanted her to give him head. Shawn didn't wanted it to happen, lol. But then, we see Eugene again. Meh. Nitro vs Kane... you knew Umaga was gonna show up, anyways. Shelton again claiming that he wasn't still picked by Vince because he was black. Well... his arguing led him to a match with Hardy. Yay. Flair vs Mikey was okay. I expected SS to interfere and they did. But what's the reason for Flair to feud with them? Next week, which SS member he's taking down? DX vs Highlanders... didn't expected that. But that was a ultra-squash. DX vs Haas/Viscera... didn't paid much attention. DX vs Cade/Murdoch... mini-feud, but this will end next week, I guess. Shelton vs Hardy. It was good. Hardy won, though. Super Crazy/Carlito vs Masters/Orton was good too. Masters looked quite dull, though. The latinos won, but Orton still continues to feud with the Cool guy. Bischoff... hey, now we know what's gonna happen by Survivor Series. Cena vs Lita. I liked the way Cena won. One hand FU. But the best was when King Booker showed up and made his hooligans force the peasant to kiss his royal (?) feet. And now, Edge will use his rematch against Cena next week. |

STAY HYPED!!!
|
This was an absolutely horrible episode of Raw. The only good point that I saw was the Triple H/Maria segment, and even that was surrounded by crap. When Maria is the high point of Raw, then you know the show was bad! Here we go... Before Raw even started, USA Network aired a promo advising me not to miss the first 10 minutes of Raw. I watched, but didn't see anything that was "can't miss". The power went out right as Raw came on, so I figured perhaps they pushed the "can't miss" segment back. Am I the only one that saw nothing worthy of not missing? Considering the fact that TNA just hyped a major surprised and delivered, then I don't think it is in WWE's best interest to hype something as "can't miss" and fail to deliver. But maybe I'm blaming the wrong one. Maybe USA Network made that promo by themselves simply to promote a show on their network. :dunno: What was the deal with all the short matches tonight? Lita vs Candice lasted some 15 seconds (although, the light situation could have had something to do with that), Kane vs Nitro lasted about a minute before Umaga interfered, DX beat the Highlanders in under a minute, Cena beat Lita in under a minute, and all the other matches ended in under 5 minutes. According to the PW Torch TV report, the longest match of the night was DX vs Hass/Viscera in a 7 minute match. If you add up the total match times, then there was less than 30 minutes of wrestling on a 2 hour and 5 minute show! Can WWE not find anything better for DX to do than to promote merchandise? Shelton's "In order to show you how racist everyone else is, I'm going to be a racist" storyline continues. Feel the excitement? No? Ok. Toby Keith was shown on screen again. Have I mentioned how much I dislike Toby? WWE made a smart move by having Booker, Finlay, and William attack Cena tonight in order to promote Cena's match on SD!. However, Booker's gimmick has become so asinine that it almost had a reverse effect. Seeing Booker T dress like, walk like, talk like, and act like a King doesn't make me want to watch. The "king" gimmick needs to be dropped and the T. needs to be added back to Booker's name. WWE has a big three hour special in 2 weeks, so they book a WWE Title cage match next week? Why didn't they save such a match for the special? |

See, this is why i think Smackdown! has the better wrestling than Raw does. Raw just has entertainment, SD! has wrestling. |

All hail King Booker!

Very bizarre show, I thought. The power was out to start it off so that was a bad omen lol. I thought the show was hit or miss as usual. The only matches I liked were the tag match and the post main event beat down. The Hardy/Benji match wasn't as good as I hoped. The gauntlet match was annoying and completely buried the Highlanders who desperately needed to get over. Getting Superkicked and Pedigreed in under a minute won't help. Man, I felt so bad for them. DX is so rebellious with their shamless plugging of DX merchandise every show. Oh yeah, no wonder the McMahons hate them, because they're imploring people to spend money on their merchandise, which essentially makes the WWE even more money. Ooohhh, that damn DX and their anti-authority-ness. Strangely, I kind of like where Benji is going with this "It's because I'm black" thing. Could he hook up with Cryme Tyme soon? Maybe. I thought the segment with him and Coach arguing was so compelling before Hardy ruined it with his jive talk. But before that, I was really getting into it because I know people like that. The best gimmicks are the ones you can relate to in some way I think. I just thought it was a great segment and I think this new gimmick of Benji's could work. They could've used Bischoff a little better in his return to TV but I understand it was to hype his new book. Also, there was more to what he was saying in his Anti-McMahon rant if you were paying attention. I loved seeing King Booker on RAW last night. He gave that rogue Cena a royal beating that he deserved. And Finlay and Regal sure gave it to him, didn't they? I can't wait to see that tag match on Friday and I'm sure a lot of viewers will be tuning in. So Edge will be "cashing in" on his rematch next week? Cool. Overall, a barely decent show. The wrestling sucked as usual. I can't wait for ECW tonight. Sandman vs. Big Show for the championship, huh? (BTW, I disagree with the argument that King Booker should drop the gimmick. I feel the gimmick has totally revitalized his career. Booker was doing squat as Booker T and was on the verge of his retirement. People were saying he was washed up. I feel with this gimmick, he's really stepped his game up and impressed, and entertained a lot of people. I'd love him to keep it forever if he could. I think him and Edge have been the two most entertaining heels in the business for the past few months and I'm enjoying every minute of them.) |

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

The WWE must really be trying to prove their point that they think people want storys and less matches. This entire show was bad until the end when Cena had to kiss Booker's feet. I liked that on so many levels.

STAY HYPED!!!

I've seen several people mention this, but I don't see it happening for two important reasons: 1. Cryme Tyme is mocking stereotypes while Shelton is being serious about the issue. 2. Shelton is a heel and Cryme Tyme reportedly got a huge face reaction in their dark match last night. Unless they change Cryme Tyme's gimmick and alignment, then I don't see Shelton being a part of the group.
I want to say that one promo laid the foundation for Vince's next feud, but I'm hesitant since Vince is apparently still involved with DX. You just know Vince is going to have some sort of rebutal to the Bischoff segment. He'll either crap on Eric or he'll crap on Coach (or both). Eric will then return the favor, and we'll have ourselves a new feud. Where it leads is anyone's guess. But I bet a lot of people's guesses involve those wacky "n", "W", "o", "D", and "X" letters. |

You know, since D-X is still playing a part in Vince's life, I actually see something totally different. I see Vince actually appreciating Bischoff's contreversal comments, (you know that's why he was RAW GM in the first place) seeing how Coach has not been able to take down D-X, and replace him with Bischoff. It may not happen, but it can't be the worst thing they've ever done. It would be a great way ti get him back on TV for awhile. |

Yeah. Winning that King Of The Ring tournament gave Booker a whole new status, especially with the gimmick. I admit I didn't liked the gimmick at first because Regal was like saying 300 times "All Hail King Booker" and it got annoying to me. I remember I was watching the SD episode with spanish commentary where King Booker was crowned ... it went like: William Regal: All hail King Booker! Hugo Savinovich: ¡Larga vida al Rey Booker! William Regal: All hail King Booker! Hugo Savinovich: ¡Larga vida al Rey Booker! William Regal: All hail King Booker! Hugo Savinovich: ¿Tengo que seguir traduciendo esto? (Do I have to keep translating this?) To that point, it was annoying... but I started to like him when Booker got on the mic. And things got better once Rey lost the belt to him. Back on topic... Cena got the worst from kissing Booker's feet. Best part of the night when the King's Court attacked that peasant and made him kiss his feet literally. Because Lashley got to kiss the boots, but his lips barely touched Booker's boots. And all of you know how things went with Batista. |

Last night wasn't stellar, but I still found enjoyable moments in it. My personal highlight of the night was Kane grabbing Nitro as he slid into the ring and throwing him right out..that cracked me up. Otherwise, next week might be good. A cage match is always interesting, but I am suprised they are doing it next week too and not waiting for the big three hour RAW. (I am really looking forward to that! No matter how much I complain, the WWE hype machine always manages to pull me in with stuff like that) |

I had today off, so I got to watch RAW. I thought it was fairly entertaining. Random thoughts: Having the power out was entertaining, especially seeing the audience get rowdy and pissed off when they couldn't hear what Lita was saying. Good job to King and J.R. for keeping things moving. Diva match was pointless. Euegene is not funny. Gauntlet match helf my interest, which is good. HBK and HHH's backstage segment was pretty funny. BISCHOFF! HELL YEAH! I enjoyed seeing Cena get beaten like that. It satisfied me. 6/10 |

i think WWE's been using that logic for a few years, now. maybe i'm just showing my age, but i'd rather have WWE put more emphasis on the action. i can actually remember when the action meant more then the interviews & other segments. |

A 3.4 is a tad dissappointing. But it was a crappy RAW and the football game was on so I could see it low like this. I'm waiting for the day RAW gets under a 3.0 lol. |

If Vince ever decided to compete against the Fifa World Cup, his ratings would be lower than 2.5 and on Raw. But then again, USA aren't that much into real football (a.k.a. soccer for you guys), I think. |

Yeah, soccer really wouldnt do anything. Real Football is the ratings king on Monday nights. Raw goes up against it and does just fine. So you (a wrestling fan) who is hoping for RAW to fail
is going to be waiting a long time.

Thank God we have someone with some common sense here. Don't you remember my calculations? 97% or something like that, of people regard soccer as being the true football. I don't like to quote numbers in that regard, but 97%! You have no leg to stand on 15Shows! Anyway, I do concur that in the US & Canada, putting RAW against American carryball is a lot more dangerous than putting it against true football. There's little to debate on that point. |

But the majority, the overwhelming majority, the absolute majority (97%) of people call it football! I'm not one to go around quoting useless numbers, but it's 97%! There's a certain point you have to see when something crosses a line, I think 97% is a good place to draw that line, and to say that (North) Americans are simply doing things their own way for whatever retarded reason. Metric systems, date systems, aluminium, football. What next? |

Sometimes, it's not always about numbers (as in population) that determine what real football is. Go back to history, football was played (but not officially as a sport) centuries ago, even before Christ was born. And what you call real football (NFL, I suppose) is just a sport derived from rugby. |
