Wow, I don't know what to say. this was pretty controversial, especially since i'm also Black myself. I mean, you can tell that creative team meant for this segment to end at a serious tone, but they needed to put Jeff Hardy in there to soften things up. I think this whole Shelton thing will be a controversial story until it ends. I hope it just doesn't end wrong where he joins Cryme Tyme or anything. WWE will be in even more trouble then. |

Yeah, I'm black myself but I actually liked it. I've just been surrounded by people like that in my life so it was kind of something to relate to. That was the most I've ever seen Shelton so impassioned. I think he was believing in what he was saying. Mick Foley once said the best heels are the ones that actually believe in what they're saying and doing so I think this applied to Benjamin and even Coach here. I absolutely love how Benji ended it when he sarcastically told Coach "Thanks......brutha." I just thought it was a compelling segment before Hardy ruined it to "lighten the mood." |

This was probably the best segment I've seen Shelton Benjamin in. Jeff Hardy did kinda ruin the momment because I was really getting behind Shelton Benjamin. |

It never ceases to amaze me that the WWE continues to go back to the "race card" storyline. And, what amazes me more is that people are continually surprised when they do it. Nation of Domination anyone? Its an easy story to do...(see LAX in TNA) I don't mind if it gets a guy going like LAX has been elevated in TNA, but just screaming "I'm black and the company is racist" then losing to a white guy no less, makes little sense to me. Fight for a title. Be angry that you aren't getting a title shot. There is no need to continually add racisim to the show. When are they going to add the WWE Superstar that is a gay basher? |

Depends. Which wrestler hates Kanyon most in the WWE? Anyway, these have to be the worst times for The WWE. I have no problem with Cryme Tyme, because they're making a light-hearted stereotype over something I pretty much hate. This Shelton stuff, though, is stupid. Booker T, a Black, is the World Heavyweight Champion, Coach, a black, is practically running RAW right now, and John Cena, someone who has acted black for ratings, is the WWE Champion. |

Did you not hear Shelton last night? Coach isn't black, he's been white-washed. And if Shelton doesn't think Coach is black enough to be black, then I can only imagine what |

XD! I enjoyed the segment to, and it was kinda funny. Like you guys said you could tell Shelton was so impassioned when he said it. I mean, he was saying it as if The Coach seld himself out to the big white man or something(which he in a way did) Yeah, and the whole Jeff Hardy thing was kinda stupid. I've also been surrounded by people like Shelton's current character, but I'm freinds with them of course. |

Yeah me too. The segment to me, just brought out so much stuff to the surface. Seeing Coach and Benji fight just reminded me of how that really happens in life, with one black person accusing another one of "acting too white" or whatever. The White Man is not the black communities' enemy, it's the black community itself. There's so much infighting between us over how one should act and how one should talk, it's crazy and really sad. How can we unite and "fight the power" if we're fighting amongst ourselves? I just thought that segment spoke volumns on a lot of things in today's society. That's why I found it so compelling. |

The thing I liked about the segment the most was it pretty much gave Shelton a purpose. Up until now, he's been a wrestler without personality. To get Shelton over as a heel, they had to play him as the mama's boy, but that didn't work out so well. Shelton had a lot of potential with this new gimic. |

What? A king can't be black? So I can't have the name "Donald"? (Which means "Ruler of the world", btw). Lol, j/k. I missed RAW, so I have to go back and watch it, so I can know what you all are talking about. |

Shelton basically called Coach a sellout, then Jeff Hardy showed up talking Cena gibberish. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

Jeff Hardy fucked up that promo, simple as that. Shelton and Coach were flowing real good during their segment, but Jeff Hardy had to show up. So I'm still thinking that Shelton might join Cryme time. And last week, I think Shelton got a pop for the "because I'm black" line... but I didn't heard much cheering for Shelton this week.
You nailed a interesting point. I never understood why some black persons (ignorants or limited to their "hood", mostly) hold others from their same race to make a progress. And they see it as "acting white". It's not acting white, it's just trying to live a more decent life. I wonder what would the writers make Shelton say something about... King Booker. |

Cryme Tyme is making light of racial stereotypes. Shelton is taking a serious stance about racial issues. Cryme Tyme are face. Shelton is a heel. It wouldn't work. |

unless Shelton becomes a tweener/serious face.....which would make this logic work. Jeff fuck up a promo? sounds like many of his matches.
