Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

If I thought The Sandman had a real shot at walking out with the title, I might be excited about that match... |

I hope at least it's a good match. Anything is better than a Big Show/Sabu rehash. I'm excited about ECW tonight, it should be 10x better than this past RAW. EDIT: I thought it wasn't bad tonight but I was very surprised and upset at the lack of matches. There was only the extreme rules match and the main event. I'm not counting the catfight because that was nothing. What happened to the three and four (sometimes even five) matches on the show this weeK? I thougth the Holly/RVD match was awesome. Could be a match of the month contender. I really wasn't sure who was gonna win and that gash on Holly's back was gruesome with blood pouring out of it. It got a lot of time so I was happy about that. I loved all the nearfalls. ECW needs more matches like this. The Punk/Kelly/Knox segment was well-done. Kelly is still a bad actress and doesn't have much screen presence but she's young and inexperienced. Hopefully she'll improve. I now officially dislike Big Show as champion. I used to be indifferent to it before but now I dislike it. Until we get an actual person who can move in the ring and do other things besides headbutts and chops, the main event will continue to be boring and uneventful with Big Show as champ. I can't wait until he loses the belt but it seems like it won't be for awhile. I just wanna see a good wrestling match for the belt once, nut a lumbering big fool like Big Show. Overall, I thought it was decent, the minuses being the lack of matches and Big Show. The opening match really carried the show. |

As a West Coaster, it just started over here....but I have to say that Jim Ross and Sandman drinking beer in the ring together was one of the surrealist things I've ever seen.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
|
I read on PWMania.com that RVD's push will lead him to fight against Big Show for the ECW Heavyweight Championship at December To Dismember. Hope RVD wins. |

Yeah, I expect RVD to win. But it's still over two months away.

The opening segment was pretty pointless. The rest of the show was'nt bad, I was suprised I enjoyed the Holly/RVD match, speaking of which. Here are some close ups of his back. The match seemed a bit slow but was'nt bad. Showing Rene Dupree was just dumb and kinda gay.... Ariel and Francine was just a build up to the ongoing feud between Thorn and Balls which is'nt so bad. As for the main event, it would've been better if I knew Sandman was going to win.

Yeah, ECW's rating was up while RAW's was down. I think they said they rounded up the ECW rating to a 1.9 because all the other averages were high. |

Odd, when it was Big Show vs. some Raw or Smackdown guy, the ratings ranged to 2.1-2.7, not counting the RVD reign. But now that the cross-promotions are over, it's at a 1. something. Maybe Vince had something with the crossovers!

I know somehow Sandman would get screwed by Striker, after what JR and Sandman did to him before the match... |

STAY HYPED!!!
|
Or maybe the fact that the new Autumn Television season has started has hurt the ratings. I didn't watch this week's show because a new episode of SVU was on. I won't watch next weeks show because SVU or any other week until SVU starts airing repeats. I'm sure other viewers quit watching ECW to watch the various other shows that have started airing new episodes again as well. |

Yeah, that's what's been hurting the ratings for ECW lately. Nip/Tuck, SVU and various other shows on Tuesday. Hopefully, they'll start the replays soon. Also, for people like you and others that can't watch ECW in its regularly scheduled time slot, here's a guy's myspace page where he puts up the most recent WWE shows. They're full uploads, usually about 20-30 minutes long. I gave this link to Whoseline awhile back. ECW, RAW, SD shows |
