This summer WWE spent over $1.5 million in purchasing new tape libraries.

I wonder what libraries they are talking about, I know I was pissed when they bought the OVW ones and announced I was'nt going to get anymore monthly shows from them.

Going to site is okay but it's not the same as watching them, but that's okay cause I got almost the entire OVW shows from 2001-2005, so stick that in your pipe WWE.

Which I still have'nt watched all of them, but they are great, seeing wrestlers before they became household names, except for some.

I don't like WWE buying all of these tape libraries. It makes it harder to get ahold of the footage and it means it has to pass through WWE people before we see it. Which means that they can edit whatever they want or choose to show us whatever they want (complete edit out parts of matches like they've done in the past).

Unfortunately, few people can stop them from gobbling up everything. The only people that can are probably the people they buy it from, but few of them will ever turn down the money offered.

I hear ya man, I just don't see how they can have all this footage and not do a damn thing about it.

We have'nt seen anything for instance from anyone in WCW, granted I know Vince could'nt stand them, but shit, he could've made alot of money off a Best Of Four Horseman dvd, or what about a Har Foundation one, that talks about the entire family, not just Bret.

I could even go for another Stone Cold one, but they have to put out another Hogan one? Did'nt he just have one not that long ago?

They should've been put out a Kurt Angle one when he was still working for them, or I heard they were going to do something for HHH, or what about Terry Funk or even Sabu? They have more than plenty of footage from ECW for him and WCW.

You know who'd be real cool is if they had one for The Great Muta, but since he never worked for them, that'll never happen.

I know they bought the WCCW library from the Von Erics. Most of the old Wrestling companies or people that own the rights to them, never made any real money during their time. SO the WWE can give a guy $1 million and its more money than an old promoter probably ever saw.

On a side note, Lawler owns a lot of the old Memphis stuff and won't sell to Vince. Lawler has enough money he doesn't have to. He has loaned footage for DVD's etc. But lawler gets a cut from those.
