Tom Afflec called in the following Smackdown spoilers from the WWE Supershow taping in Los Angeles, CA:

- MVP came out and cut a promo about Kane, leading to Kane coming to the ring for an impromptu match.

- Backstage, King Booker was taping up to wrestle. Booker vs. Batista is the main event tonight.

- Elijah Burke defeated Vito after Sylvester Turkay interfered.

- William Regal did a promo saying he wasn't going to be Smackdown's whipping boy anymore.

- Regal and the debuting David Taylor then defeated Scotty Too Hotty & Funaki.

- Chavo Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio in a Loser Leaves Smackdown I Quit Match. Good match that saw them do dives off the rampway. Mysterio ended up hung upside down from the Titantron scaffolding and Guerrero was beating his leg with a chair. Rey kept trying to hang in and not give up but finally quit.

- Backstage, Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms were arguing. Helms claimed that he could beat anyone. Teddy Long ordered him to wrestle Undertaker.

- The Undertaker pinned Gregory Helms with a tombstone.

- Next up is a Diva Danceoff. Miz was the host. Aaron and Nick Carter were the judges. Kristal Marshall won. This was said to have been the worst segment of the entire taping.

- Batista defeated WWE World champion King Booker by DQ. John Cena and Big Show were both at ringside scouting Booker. It ended up with Cena and Batista battling off Booker and Show. Teddy Long came out and said that he was going to try to sign a tag match for next week's Smackdown main event

STAY HYPED!!!
Vito finally lost? Thank heavens! Maybe this means creative has stopped finding the angle funny and are about ready to drop it. Nothing against Vito himself, but I don't find a man in a dress to be an entertaining gimmick. Raven wears skirts to wrestle in and has for years. But he has more depth than just the skirt, unlike Vito.

I'm interested in Regal's new storyline. Does this mean he is out of King Booker's court? If so then will Booker even have a court any longer? Finlay seems as eager to feud with Booker as he is to help Booker.

Undertaker worked 3 matches this month? Holy shit!

I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout.
Yeah. Taker is still the man. This show doesn't sound as interesting at tonight's RAW IMO. Knew Regal was going to lose, and I knew Kane was gonna keep croping up on SD. Why would they put the big red machine in a feud with stupid MVP?

Sounds like an average taping like always, but where's HooliganZ?

I wonder if it's the same Taylor from the Blue Bloods? That'll be great if it is.

Rey us finally taking his time off.

Both Aaron and Nick Carter are gay, I hate pretty boys like that that think they're cool.

They need to be slapped back to actual reality instead of the one they are living in.....anywho, Taker beat Helms, oh no, I did'nt see that one coming.

SD! seems below average this week, a danceoff, come on.

Batista winning a match by DQ, then Cena and Batista on the same team again next week, I better set my VCR. :mhm:

Rey vs Chavo isn't his last match before getting knee surgery. I recall reading on some pro wrestling news website that Rey will go to Mexico and wrestle two matches as a guest for some Lucha Libre company, then he's getting his knee surgery.

I think so too. It'll make for a good storyline since Rey choose to stay on SD instead of jumping ship to ECW during the ECW vs. WWE storyling.

Last night's Smackdown did a 2.7 fast national rating, with a five share.  That is the show's best number in a while.  The CW took fourth place last night, beating out Fox.  The final rating will be out next week.

That's good for SD, since this Friday the episode had a "regular" feeling to it. Why no one reviewed here this episode? Oh, well...

MVP vs Kane... just give MVP some time and I think he could be a decent wrestler IMO. But Kane dominated him, despite MVP attacking him a bit more this time.

Burke vs Vito wasn't bad... but I get the feeling that vito will keep using dresses, given the photos of SD in the Phillipines.

Regal and Taylor's match is a good definition of a squash match. Are they gonna feud with London and Kendrick in the future?

Chavo vs Rey was the best match in the night. They gave it all and it really got intense until Rey's foot got stuck in the steel that supports the Smackdown set. Great way to get him ready for knee surgery.

Gregory Helms vs Taker.... yeah, Helms was a "Deadman walking". Although Taker won, it was weird to see him go against Helms. Helms needs to defend his title, really.

That segment with Miz and the Carters... the only good thing was that before the Divas came out was this:

Miz: Hoo-rah!
Audience: You suck!
Miz: Hoo-rah!
Audience: You suck!
Miz: Hoo-rah!
Audience: You suck!

And Batista vs Booker... regular, Booker was good... thigns spiced up when Show got attacked unintentionally by Batista. I'd be looking forward to this Friday's main event, nonetheless. Hope K-Fed doesn't show up on Smackdown to cost Cena this match.
