It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
|
And the Main Event's a Ladder Match.
Hope this episode rocks... I've heard that Heyman is going to get more control of ECW. I hope he does because he can make a hell of a PPV even with the roster he already has. |

All hail King Booker!

ECW was great tonight, I feel the show is starting to finally pick up some speed. The first PPV is about two months away so it's time to get the ball rolling. The Holly/Test match was a bit strange. I felt it was really sluggish at some points and awkward but overall, it was good. They really need to move on from the Holly gash from three weeks ago. I think everyone knows how tough he is, suffering that deep gash during his match with RVD and still continuing to wrestle despite possibly getting another infection, but come on. How many weeks have we been reminded of that exact thing? About every week since it happened. They're almost making it look like that's the only extreme thing that's happened on this brand. The Punk/Striker match had some features some good mat wrestling and counters. I kind of wish this had been longer and the Holly/Test match was shorter. After Knox interfered, brawled with Punk, and then ran away, I kind of grimaced, wondering if they'll have good matches or not. Knox still seems about so developmental still. The main event was really good and I enjoyed it. I'm thinking RVD will "cash in" his contract at Cyber Sunday maybe. At least I hope so. |

ECW great, huh? Glad you enjoyed it. I've heard that Heyman's got more control over it now. Hope when Stephanie returns, it shouldn't affect Heyman nor ECW at all. And if RVD should cash that contract, let him use it at December To Dismember. Have Big Show lose the title there and he might get involved in a new feud prior to Wrestlemania 23 (Hogan? o_O Because maybe WWE will try to re-enact that Hogan-Andre bodyslam). |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
Now, that is exactly what is going wrong with the whole WWE. CM Punk vs. Matt Striker is a good match (duh...they proved it...). That should be the "destination" match, with Punk running all over Knox as the "setup", NOT the other way around! Once you see Punk have to work around Knox, and compare it to the Punk-Striker match, it will become clear. You'll be thinking, "why are they choosing to push this match over the other one?!". |

I only caught the Holly/Test match and RVD/Show match. I was surprised to see RVD in another Number 1 contenders shot. I guess since they already jobbed the Sandman to Show and Angle got fired, ther's no one else to face him now. Holly/Test match was booring

STAY HYPED!!!
|
This was the first ECW show I watched in about a month. SVU aired a repeat this month, so I flipped it over to ECW. Maybe I'm being cynical again, but it doesn't look like much has changed from the last time I watched. I was upset that I didn't get to see Thorn and Ariel, as the two had an interesting act the last time I watched. ECW desperately needs a secondary title. Guys like Punk, Test, Knocks, Sandman, Thorn, and the other regular faces could be feuding for the ECW TV title (or whatever title WWE wishes to create) instead of fighting without getting anywhere. Can Big Show even climb a ladder? Unless memory is failing me, I don't recall him even trying. RVD should be getting the title back in December. I expect him to feud against Hardcore Holly for the title through December and January, then start a program with Sabu leading into WrestleMania. |

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

In all seriousness, those ladders have weight limits for them and most don't go up to 500 lbs. |

I can see next's week ratings raise up if Big Show invites Booker and Cena to next Tuesday's ECW show to keep hyping up the Cyber Sunday Main Event match. |

^Possibly but I don't know. I really don't see the ratings increasing unless the ECW title changes hands. Maybe then, they'll go above a 2.0, which is what they were averaging before. |
