In a bit of breaking news, WWE has made the decision to have no more ECW house shows taking place after the end of November. Also, WWE.com has pulled the listings for all scheduled ECW house shows for December and beyond. Rest assure, the television tapings will still continue. Also, the ECW wrestlers' feuds will be taking place on RAW and SmackDown brand house shows.

No reason was given for this sudden change, but it can probably attributed to the dismal attendance that ECW house shows usually draw. ECW house shows tend to average a paltry amount of people for WWE standards - usually 1,000 or so on average. On the other hand, RAW and SmackDown house shows tend to draw 3,500 or so on average.

All hail King Booker!
Aww that's too bad. I hear most of the shows were excellent to attend to. I guess this is just more proof of the WWE trying to strip ECW of it's "ECW-ness".

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
Damn. And I thought they were only going to remove Big Show from all House Shows due to back injuries (it was gonna happen sooner or later). Now this? Ouch.

You make a good point. The ratings suck, and they're not going to get any better by cutting house shows... Stupid...

Doesn't really matter to me. I haven't continuously watched ECW since its second show. It just hasn't been appealing for me to make sacrifices and watch it.

I'm wondering when Vince will pull the ECW plug?

ECW and Smackdown will probably join up in one brand:

ESmaCkdoWn or something like that. Leave ECW dead. Fire Mike Knox and give CM Punk, Test, and the others jobs. Tell Kelly Bimbo to go to a porn movie audition and she'll be porn's next big thing (Which is awesome for me  )
