Brooke Hogan's album goes "Undiscovered" by music consumers
Submitted by Brian Cantor on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 7:48 PM EST

According to sales figures at HitsDailyDouble, only 30,442 copies of Brooke Hogan's album "Undiscovered" were sold this week, ranking her at number 28 on this week's sales charts.

Considering early industry analysis was that the first week would be boosted by novelty sales related to the "Hogan Knows Best" series, Brooke should expect a sizeable drop-off next week and a very disappointing run for the disc. Unless she achieves drastic success with a future single, going Gold in the US appears to be very unlikely.

The "Hannah Montana" soundtrack led the charts this week with 271,238 copies sold. John Legend's "Once Again" and My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" followed with 229,559 and 228,765, respectively.

After those three, the next best new entry was Jibbs' "Jibbs Feat. Jibbs," which moved 45,651 copies for a tenth place finish—also something of a disappointment.

Final rankings, which usually deviate slightly from the HDD report, will be revealed in this week's Billboard 200 chart.

Only 30,000 copies sold in the first week? A freakin' album from a Walt Disney show outsold Brooke by about 240,000. Ouch.

This is Brooke Hogan we are talking about. Is anyone honestly surprised that her single didn't tear the charts up and that her CD isn't flying off the shelves?

Hahaha Nope. The single barely did anything on the charts. She better hope the next single she releases sets the world on fire, but I doubt that'll happen. I heard snippets of all the songs on Amazon.com, and they're pretty bad. She can't sing at all.

I find the cover to be the funniest.

Except for extreme hogan fans/pop fans, I don't think many people will listen to her in the future.

I agree. If it wasn't for WWE promoting the song and album, then I don't think any of us would have heard her song in the first place.

Unless she somehow gets lucky, this is probably going to be her highest chart rankings.

It does'nt help with the Hogan show being 90% about trying to get Brooke a music career or some other uninteresting thing.

Money, money, yeah, yeah!
Hannah Montana, who is played by Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter, sold more then the Hulkster's daughter, that's just sad and funny!
