The Best a Man can Get
|
The only problem I find with 6SW is this... It's such a tight knit group, that.. 1. Its hard to break into. 2. When one of you does break out of the gang, get a life, job or whatever would stop them from posting, they won't be replaced. I mean think about it in the last year how many people have signed up and actually stayed active. You're carrying the same posters you always had with a few extras. |

He died for your sins

I work at home so It's all good :-) but besides that point.. It shouldn't matter how many people there are at 6SW I mean, if we had like 500 ppl at 6SW then it would be hard to keep up with everyone.... plus we would have a crapload of spammers, hackers, etc. Cy just invited a couple of ppl from TV.com to join his forum for communicating with others (because theres so many marks there) so I really don't think that Cy cares too much about the number of posters here at 6SW....well he probably does care but not alot anyways |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
Well, all of them. The forum is only a year old! But, I haven't seen any "new arrivals" get run out of here. If they post, people respond (like I'm doing right now). If they never make a post, then, obviously, nobody is going to have anything to say to them. Anybody can walk in here and start posting away, and people will talk to them. It happened to me, 4400TVJunkie, Superman8119 (or something like that) while he was here, you, MakeYourself85, and a lot of others. None of us are "originals". |

As my unserstanding from what a previous person said, there are quite a few of the posters who already knew each other from other forums so it was already kliqy |

SAVE US
|
6SW is basically the most surviving message board here......except for Gamefaqs:PWB. the thing that seperates us from other message boards is that all of us somewhat know each other. we speak to the same people here on this board that it's like your talking to your friend at school. 6SW: GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That should be our new catchphrase. |

Apart from the odd interaction at tv.com, I didn't know anybody here before I joined (not personally anyway). I think I pissed off one or two people, but I just kept posting and being myself anyway and I seemed to have earned the respect of at least a couple of the members here. I think. But the impotant thing is to just be yourself. That's what is so great about 6SW. Plus everybody here seems more tolerent of my bad jokes than say tv.com.

STAY HYPED!!!
|
I don't know if kliq would be the right word, since I think kliqs tend to exclude people. But if you are wondering, the people that have known each other prior to 6SW opening are myself, Levi, Madness420, Purplemauarder, Queenie, J.J.S., Kraul, and a few other people. All of us have been posting together at one forum or another for about 7 years now. Damn, we need lives. Aside from that list, everyone else is relatively new to each other. 6SW didn't start gaining activity until January 2006, so most of the active members are new. I really like the way SRP described things. If people show up and post, then people respond to them the same as they would anyone else. Being new to the forum never seems to have a noticeable impact on how people interact with people. |

Well we only had one major incident when both Cy and Neb was'nt around which I took into my hands, it was somewhat of an invasion from people that did'nt care to much for us. I look back and just laugh at the whole thing, but at the time I was highly angered. |

6SW does run the risk of becoming a lot more cliquey than it already is. Sharpshooter members seem to be filing in here quite quickly, and they obviously already know each other. It shouldn't come as any surprise that these members who already know each other will interact more with the ones they do know, than with the ones they don't know. I don't think that's much of a surprise really, but we do run the risk of developing two little factions or whatever if these new members don't bother to try to get to know other people. So far, it's not that much of a problem (although one or two members from sharpshooter do exhibit these problems already), but it is something to watch out for. |

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through
|
The way I see it, if there is a topic on the board and you have something to add to the discussion, most people on here will welcome you in that discussion and respond to you in kind. I have never said " That guys only has one post, I'm not talking to him until he spams his way up to at least 50 post."
You make quality post and I'll talk to you. If I think you are stupid I'll tend to ignore you, but it has nothing to do with being a new poster.

Yeah change it to that, if you want a raving band of homosexuals joining the board. As for Merchant Fleas comment you can get that at almost any active forum... |
