STAY HYPED!!!

A few years ago, I remember reading about a person being kicked off a plane in the U.S. because the person was wearing a shirt with Bush and Cheney that said "Meet the Fuckers", which was a play off the movie title "Meet the Fockers". I thought it was wrong to kick those people off the plane, and I think it was wrong to kick this person off the plane. Expressing your personal dislike of a politician is no reason to be denied air service. I am surprised to read about this happening outside of the U.S., though. I thought Bush was pretty much hated worldwide. |

This is old news to the self important media of Australia. Anyway, I have two thoughts on the matter. Yes, it's excessive to kick someone off a plane for voicing an extremely valid opinion about one of the fuckers. One could say he was going too far, but was he? It was a simple comedic T-Shirt, and corparations forcing citizens to shut the hell up about political matters is a bit of a problem. If one guy caves in, does that leave this whole matter defeated? Then again, did he really need to make such a hubbub about it? Who knows. |
