BrownMania is a member that joined in October of 2006 and immediately jumped into a John Cena debate. Since that time, he has never shied away from voicing his opinions, even if that meant engaging in long winded and often "heated" debates. Join me, now, as we get to know Mister BrownMania just a bit better. 1. Using whatever scale you use to judge wrestling, how do you rank the 4 major wrestling "brands" (Raw, ECW, Impact, SD!)? To be honest, I’ve never made an effort to watch Impact. It has nothing to do with any preconceived notions about the product or anything but just a simple lack of effort to find the show on television. The same goes for ECW because Friday night at midnight is not exactly the ideal timeslot for a person such as myself. As you can see I am hardly the world’s most devoted wrestling fan :P. With that in mind I rank Raw ahead of SmackDown!. I can’t bring myself to really care about anyone on SD! aside from Mr. Kennedy whereas Raw has the likes of Edge, Orton, HBK and Triple H. And while I pan the quality of Raw week in and week out I admittedly still mark out to the feel it has, being live and whatnot. I concur with the consensus that SmackDown! provides the superior product but it isn’t doing much for me in terms of developing it’s personalities whereas Raw is already blessed with the industry’s top talents (in terms of personality of course). Suffice to say, wrestling sucks. 2. What, if anything, do you think is the biggest problem with today's wrestling? There are the obvious things like the lack of creativity and poor booking; poor talents being pushed to the top, etc, but the biggest one for me personally is the inherent lack of charisma. When a guy like John Cena is considered by many to be one of the top mic workers and a “natural” blah, blah, blah the business is clearly in shambles. Some argue that Cena is restricted by the creative team but bollocks to that, it’s not what he says that’s garbage, it’s how he delivers it. Performers of the past took some of the dumbest most childish remarks/insults and made them funny and seemingly adult-themed thus making the most of what was given to them. Mind you, I’m not here to just flame Cena as just about everyone lacks that extra little “je ne sais quoi” that draws you in. 3. If you could magically pick any two wrestlers, past or present, and have them perform against each other in their prime years, what two wrestlers would you select to fill this dream match? Why? There are a couple I could go with, the first being The Rock vs. HBK just to see the flashbulbs blinking incessantly. The spectacle of such a match-up alone would be worth the price of admission and with the charisma, speed and explosiveness of both competitors it would be an ultimate event. It clearly wouldn’t be an Angle/HBK match but it would surpass the excitement of Rock/Hogan which everyone has to admit seemed like an amazing match at the time if not just for the nostalgia running down from the rafters. But the dream match for me would probably be Angle vs. Hart. Both men could grapple, they could both brawl and whilst such a concept isn’t necessarily as relevant as it once was there could be the element of Canada vs. USA; Canada’s greatest hero versus the American Olympic gold-medallist would likely draw some great interest in a more tame way than DX vs. Hart did in ‘97. It could be a more “wholesome” encounter so to speak not that I’m a Quaker or anything. The match would encompass just about everything to appeal to any fan because it would have some mat wrestling, as it got personal it could empty out to ringside and see some announce tables destroyed and there would likely be an aerial spot for Mr. Angle. Considering the likelihood of a submission finish it definitely had the potential to surpass Austin/Hart. 4. Who, in your opinion, is the greatest wrestler/performer of all time? This is a tough one for me, whilst I’ve seen many matches involving some of the greats of yesteryear I’ve never been fully exposed to the likes of Rogers, Sammartino and Flair; based on that I have to go with Kurt Angle. Few men have been able to rise so quickly all the while having the utmost respect of his peers, fans and others within the business. He was a great heel and face/’tweener with above average mic skills, great psychology and above all else impeccable wrestling skills. He’s the real total package in my books and it’s just a shame that his career with WWE entered such a spiral. I wish I could give a more detailed answer but like I said it's a difficult task for me not only because I'm not privy to the greats of yesteryear but I'm also a mark for shitheads like Austin and The Rock. 5. If you could live anywhere in the word, where would you live and why? For some time now I’ve been setting the goal of eventually moving to sub-Saharan Africa or the Middle East to live and work in hopes of aiding in the development of such countries, you know so I can impress women with my “war stories”. But seriously though that is a goal of mine and hopefully I can accomplish it sooner rather than later because in recent months I’ve been becoming a Holden Caulfield type of person and am in dire need of a break from the Western lifestyle and phoniness that I and so many others indulge upon. 6. If you could meet any person, dead or alive, who would you most want to meet? What kind of conversation would you have with the person? As is the case for everyone, there are many people that I would like to meet from the obvious ones of the past like JFK, John Lennon or Dr. Timothy Leary to more contemporary people like Neil Young or Bill Clinton. For me though, being Canadian, I might have to say Lester Pearson. His contributions to our country domestically such as the introduction of universal health care and student aid as well as his banishment of de Gaulle from Canada make him a hero. Internationally he resisted involvement in Vietnam and was essentially the father of what we know as peacekeeping. Having such a colored and positive history would no doubt make for an enticing conversation about just about anything with hopefully some hockey talk thrown in too.

The Man. Any Questions?

Sub-Saharan Africa? You're planning to be part of some kind of organization, I hope. A lone North American will be around about as long as a pair of Jordans in the ghetto. An informative "interview". I like these. To Cybrus: Any plans to start announcing these? Like, "Coming next week, we have....thus-and-such", so we all know who we're going to get? |

I could do that. I don't assume anyone is going to participate. I always send the person a PM asking if they'd like to participate, then send them the questions after they reply with a yes. If everyone is ok with being PM'd for permission a week early, then I'll start doing it with next weeks "Six Questions with..." |

He did that in his intro thread, and never got an answer! Hmm...we could open a new thread called "Unsolved Mysteries" for things like that.

Of course I'd be there through some sort of organization. What kind I'm not sure because I don't really want to be part of a generic organization that appeals to sensationalism above anything else. I guess I'd most like to go through the UN while I try to reform it; I have delusions of grandeur

Ah, okay, then. Maybe you won't just vanish one night, after all.
Oh, wait. I found the info: The Mystery Solved! |

Really? I'm surprised I hadn't answered it, but it's not like it's a good story. My last name is Brown and my nicknames in school ranged from Brownie to Brownman to BrownMania; I figured I'd go with BrownMania since it relates to wrestling
