I'd figure I better post my first blog in this since those damn moderators have already beat me to it. So what better thing to post about than my thoughts on SWF. A lot of people are probably thinking "There E-Staff they have to like the product they give out." I must say that is very wrong, and this is where I'll tell you! Lets start out, with what I just stated. I'm willing to bet money that Nathan and Luke have had this problem as well, very often we do not like the product we give out. Sometimes I feel as if my matches get repeditive and am running out of creative things to write for that week. This obviously gets very frusterating, because there's always a fear in the back of my head that somebody might criticize my writing and how I do it.. and let me tell you a match that takes an hour or so to right being criticized is definately one of the bad aspect of the job. Lets take for example my current match I wrote this week "Paul Matthews VS Chris Dee" this isn't the worst match I've written but I found it getting very old after the first few paragraphs. The two exited the ring twice because I didn't really have much more to do in the ring without it getting drastically boring. Things like this happen all the time and I'm sure you guys notice them as well, but there's a short explanation of why, after you write matches for as long Me, Fittes and NCR have after the first month you'll find your matches getting repeditive but its more because we wrote them and they stick out in our mind. Now for my thoughts on the actual show, I would say that Burnout right now would be a 7/10, of what I could expect of it. Personally, I think that people thriving for the SWF Champion is good at times but the matches will get very tiresome. "Edge VS Cena" anybody? Lets say the NCR VS 15 Shows rivalry, NCR has been in the title hut for a long time but he's had the title for a long time as well. 15 Shows has also been in the title hut for a long time so obviously he deserves a title shot. But one thing I don't understand is why we continue to press other people into getting another title shot *Crowd cheers "Same old shit"* One perfect example of what I'd like to see more of the main eventers is Luke Fittes, he continues to be on the borderline of Main Event and Mid-Card, obviously Fittes has proven himself to be a Main Eventer being a former SWF Champion but he also is one of the more sensible guys and knows that he has to give the other people a time to shine so SWF can grow. If we keep seeing "NCR VS 15 Shows" "NCR VS D-Man" "Ace VS NCR" "Ace VS D-Man" ect. then although the people in the match would probably like it I don't think its very fair to the mid-carders who are victums of circumstance of not being here for as long. Now for my thoughts on the roleplaying in SWF, a lot of people seem to get confused that us E-Staff wanna see long RP's with some good background behind it, to be honest from my opinion. I don't care how long the RP is if half of it isn't even about the match then I'd consider that a "Bad RP". If you where booked on the card you should talk about the match mainly not about the general life of your character. This is only from my point of view, and I'm pretty sure that Nathan has a similar view to mine about this, not so sure about Fittes. But, really if you have a long roleplay actually about the match, that'd be an AMAZING roleplay in my opinion. Not much more to say about Roleplaying other than keep up the good roleplays. One short thing I'd like to say is to those aspiring to be E-Staff at one point, I must say that it is a fun job, but at times you do not want to write at all but you have too so you can get the show out, its similar to a normal job when we have a deadline or the people will yell at us and throw bricks through our E-Staff forum, but remember if you where to write matches for over 6 months two-one a week wouldn't your personal life get in the way? Unless you have no life I'm sure it would! Now I think I'll give you a sneak-preview of whats coming in SWF next year, you'd like that wouldn't you? Wouldn't you? Well, we hope to improve SWF a whole lot next year. We hope to get some advertizing out there. I know that I plan on posting on the Invisionfree Forum a whole lot more with a SWF Signature in my Siggeh. I hope that I can expect this from other people so that we can bring back the short-lived "Rush!" But with this little of superstars we're having trouble booking matches now so if we get somewhere around 3-3 1/2 pages of Superstars like we did when we first released Rush! expect it back very soon! We are also working on the release of some new titles, oh god I hope I don't get in trouble for releasing that but they should be released very soon with any luck! Tyro title will also be much more prestigious with any luck, we hope that alot of our old-time midcarders and some Main Eventers will go for it. It will probably be considered like the Intercontinental was up till 1991 when your second best in the buissness and very close to the SWF title! Some people are probably like "What!?! I thought that it was going to be for beginners!" What do you think the Hardcore Title is for? As for SWF VS WIF, we haven't quite gotten out our PPV set-date but I hope to do it sometime between Late Feburary - Early March. This will also rely on some of you starting rivalries with some WIF superstars! So there are my thoughts on SWF today, overall I'm pretty happy with SWF and how we've grown from only about 8 superstars to over 20! Hopefully we'll continue to grow! Thanks, ATC |
