The Man. Any Questions?
|
Well, seeing that we've had a bout of "How Did You Get Here" and digging up old threads, and other assorted "good ol' days" stuff with all the one-year anniversaries lately, I figured we could try this: Put up your very first 6SW post here. We can see how some of us have changed over the time we've been here. Here's mine: Post #1. |

I don't think it is possible to show link anyone to my first post. My first posts where in the Admin room and were uploads of images used for the skin and what not. No one can see inside that room but me, so I can't link anyone there. After that, I did post in the forum and try to spark activity, but I trashed all the old posts when I re-opened the forum in January of 2006. Can't link any members to the trash can. Crap-o-la. I dug a bit, and found two examples of my older posts: Hello And Welcome! - Originally posted on August 30, 2005. It's the eighth topic ever created at 6SW (look at the end of the url to see the topic number) and is the first one that members can view. Topics 1-7 are either in the trash can or in the admin room. Forum Expansion - Posted on December 29, 2005. This was something I made right before I re-opened the forum. We were basically down to the bare minimum as far as the forum goes. No E-fed, no babes folder, no column folder, no graphic folder (I don't think). It was bascially the wrestling folders (minus the columns), like 3 folders in the community center category, and the three "In Focus" folders (excluding LPS). My, have we grown since then. |

I figured Cybrus' would be nearly impossible to even find, given all the posting required before the board is even fit for viewing. I can't help but notice the shots at other forums in that "Welcome" post.

![]() At the time that I made that post (and 6SW), I was very aggravated with forums with admins that were 14 and 15 years old trying to be "professional". These were people that had never had a job and had no clue how to act professional, yet still went around saying "no, no, no! That's not professional." Fucking douches. I have no problems with people younger than I am being admin or anything, so don't get me wrong. It's just when someone acts like a douche with their holier-than-thou act and claims that's being "professional" do I get ticked off. As you can see, I still get aggravated just thinking about the past. I certainly hope I don't give off a similar vibe.

I'm thinking that most of these will be introductions, but a lot of us never made an intro thread. A lot of those may be old Thunderdome stuff. |

Found another thread I'd like to share: Official E-Fed Discussion - This wasn't the first E-Fed discussion thread or even the second, third, or fourth. I had tried to introduce the E-Fed a few times, but no one cared. Then, people started posting E-Fed like threads in the Thunderdome. The threads were basically member based and not character based, where the members would play as who they post as. So when that became the "in" thing to do, I created the E-Fed discussion thread. You can see how much of a chore it was introducing the idea of an E-Fed to 6SW. A lot of members didn't even know what E-Feds were at the time. Yet, it has grown into what it is today. Also concerning the E-Fed, Very first SWF Show Very first SWF PPV I think we can all agree that me stepping away from booking was the best thing for SWF. My first roleplay as Cybrus P. McCoy Vince discusses the Golden Road Come to think of it, maybe it's a good thing that I stepped away from the E-Fed all together. Finally, concerning the E-Fed once again. I remember posting a mock Press Conference where Vince announced the creation of SWF and how he was eager to sign new superstars. I didn't see it in the archives, so I guess it is in the trash can. Too bad. I was wanting to share that piece of "gold". |

I think that it's important to acknowledge the few thread, which I believe more or less kick started 6SW, for me at least anyway. The threads weren't really that long, but their structure and the three or four posters had such a style that meshed quite well and created a nice little forum atmosphere. Here they are: Michael Jackson trial The Death Penalty - One of my longer posts. Longer...and truthful. Abortion Gay marriage If 6SW were a high school - perhaps one of the more important ones in bringing the earlier members of this community together, after endless tirades from both myself and jackymatic. The Unbounded Conversation - I daresay, the quintessential 6SW thread along with the RAW Reviews. The 1K club - By this time, 6SW was set in stone. Ahh nostalgia. |

That only reminds me of the poster I used to be. I used to make several threads that led to great conversations. I even participated in most of those conversations. Now, I'm more inclined to sit back and watch as others discuss such things. Although, I'm willing to bet that with the turn over rate since then and now, we could most likely start a new thread on some of those topics (gay marriage, abortion, drug legalization, etc) and have a good conversation with current members. |

We, meaning you with support from all others, tried to do that before with that weekly debate thing. It never took off, but I reckon it could do well now. Yuppers. |

Here's mine. Not to many people were around as you see to greet me. The majority of my posts are in the wrestling areas, and none have gone past 26 posts so I was looking and saw that here is my first thread that went over that mark. Wonder if anyone remembers this thread also. The ECW comeback thread. Fan attacking Jarrett. Later on in the year I'll bring one of my favorite threads for anyone that has'nt seen it yet and even for those that liked it. |

But how bad would it look if the post is dated "January 15, 2006," and the edit is dated "February 16, 2007?" That wouldn't seem to add up... |

I didn't welcome WWEWL back then because I didn't like based on previous meetings between us. My, how things have changed. |
