Part 1!
Alright, I plan to do this like a review like any other PPV. Its just about the end of the year so I figured this would be the time to do it. I just thought that it would be fun to post my opinions on each match of each PPV, I'll post half of it in this blog and then half of it in another blog, I don't want the topic to take up too much space. Please don't be offended by my harshness since most of my negative comments where from PPV's a long time ago.
Oh and as for my matches, I can and will critisize myself because I know that some of my work in the past may of sucked so I will not be bias.

Breakdown! - 2006
Match: John Stevens VS The Zombie Victor: John Stevens Thoughts: I thought that this wasn't the right way to start off the PPV, The Zombie was definately before my time in the SWF and seemed to be an early monster. The match was short and Stevens made quick work of Zombie, but I don't think that it was up to its full potential.[
Match: Adam Shadow VS Johnny Williams - Last Man Standing Victor: Adam Shadow Thoughts: Definately two guys that I miss around here in SWF, I remember reading some of the matches they where in when I was just starting out. Overall, this match definately made up for the first match I could picture in my mind what was going on and it definately amused me, Adam using the Sledgehammer to win the match, this was definately a great match
Match: D.P. Blaze VS Daunte Victor: D.P. Blaze Thoughts: Squash! Thats basically all I can say for this match, Daunte didn't get in any offensive and D.P. Blaze made quick work of him.. and everyone knows this won't be the last victory D.P. Blaze will have at Breakdown.
Match: Joseph Julien VS Joe Titan Victor: No Contest Thoughts: Not a bad match although I can't say that I liked the outcome. Very technical match if I do say so myself, lots of reversals in the early beginning which is always nice to see. One positive thing about the outcome is that it definately demonstrated the hatred between the two.
Match: Anthony Perillo VS Rick Betts Victor: Anthony Perillo Thoughts: Two guys who has lasted the test of time.. well sort of for Anthony, if you catch my drift. But this wasn't a bad match and wasn't a good match, I thought that Anthony was pretty dominant in this match and just like D.P. Blaze squashed his opponent.
Match: The Terminator VS Malicious Victor: Malicious Thoughts: This was definately a slugfest. Not much technical wrestling that I could see basically this was a brawl and definately a great way to end the singles matches. Neither man seemed weak in this match which is always something nice to see. I was actually sort of suprised Malicious won, I thought Terminator had him there for a moment.
Match: Golden Road Victor: NEW CHAMPION: D.P. Blaze Thoughts: Wow, just wow. This was definately a commendable peice of work and I really think that people overlook it. Although it was short it lived up to his full potential, the match was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat right up till the end (even if I did know how it turned out)

Reign of Pain - 2006
Match: Ace VS D-Man (Tyro Title Finals) Victor: NEW CHAMPION: D-Man Thoughts: This match jumped into the action, there wasn't a whole lot going on in the match which dissapointed me basically it was spear, slugfest, corkscrew, D-Splash. Those where the basic highlights of the match, but major upset by D-Man. Ace had the momentum and D-Man managed to shift it and hit his finisher to become the first ever Tyro Champ, not bad.
Match: Team Masters VS Team JJJ Victor: No contest Thoughts: I was actually very dissapointed, you figure out its an elimination and then it ends in a no contest. Thats like giving us a cookie and then dropping it in the mud. The match was getting interesting up until that and had to say this was one of the worst matches of the night.
Match: Malicious VS Daunte (Loser is suspended) Victor: No contest Thoughts: Please.. not again. Another no contest, this one didn't even get any action. Not much I can say about this match but come on!
Match: 15 Shows VS Smoking gun VS Leftover king (Elimination Triple Threat) Victor: 15 Shows Thoughts: Well, it was a small improvement at least someone actually won but in reality this match would of taken about a minute to commence. Smoking Gun AKA Cameron G showed his arrogant attitude and then the newcomer 15 Shows (Feels weird saying that) eliminates him, pretty basic story.
Match: Rick Betts VS Madness Victor: No contest Thoughts: I should beat you guys with a stick right now for making me read another No contest. This was a parking lot brawl so I was hoping for something good but nope just another no contest, although I admit the ending was cool in theory there should of been a clear winner.
Match: Adam Shadow VS Cybrus Victor: Adam Shadow Thoughts: I only have one thing to say about this match, if I thought the three no contest's where bad this just takes the cake, if you read this match you'd know what I was talking about. Fittes I'm so glad your writing improved.
Match: Joe Titan VS Joseph Julien (Steel Cage Match) Victor: Tie Thoughts: This was actually a very good match and although it ended in a tie which I really hate (that makes 4 no contests basically ties) I agree with this one, these two beat the hell out of eachother and ending it in a controversial wins makes both men seem like they wanted the win very badly.
Match: Terminator VS John Steves VS Perillo (Hardcore Triple Threat) Victor: Terminator Thoughts: Beginning was a bit confusing, I didn't know where they were it was hard to picture. But this was old fashioned Hardcore match although it was ended quickly, I liked what brutality you did include. Definately an early variation of SWF's hardcore past.
Match: Luke Fittes VS D.P. Blaze (SWF Championship) Victor: D.P. Blaze Thoughts: Controversial win and this definately didn't live up to the hype it was given, boo at Reign of Pain. But I thought that the ending set up a nice fued for Cybrus and Fittes and I was right about that. Blaze is still the champ so at least there's that.

Mayday - 2006
Match: Malicious VS Prodigy VS Rahmel Fields Victor: Malicious Thoughts: Ah, nice to see a definate improvement. After Reign of Pain I was getting sick of reading. Very technical match which is always nice to see didn't see much of Prodigy in the match but Malicious pretty much dominated all his competetion. I also admire the HOLY SHIT part when there's a finisher, nice touch.
Match: D-Man VS Rhino VS Ace VS Terminator VS 15 Shows VS NCR Victor: NEW CHAMPION: Ace Thoughts: Nice solid match, I was a bit suprised that D-Man got eliminated second. I thought he would make it to the final two, but pitting the Brother VS Brother thing was definately the way to go. This might of been the start of the long Ace VS NCR fued, I also like the reversal finish.
Promo: Tag Team Title Annoucement Thoughts: Figured, I'd include this as it was a bit part to the PPV. I thought that this was excellently written and could picture Vince Montgomery himself saying this stuff. Nothing cheap that I could tell was molded to what you want him to be like. Then the Tag team title annoucement, major shocker especially with the Tyro title only releasing last month.
Match: Street Fight Victor: Madness, Prince Rich, Daunte and Chavito Thoughts: Lot of action going on at once, a lot of weapons where introduced and reminded me a lot of the Hardcore Match during the Stone Cold VS Shawn Michaels fued. These guys obviously had something to prove to eachother and they went out there and beat the hell out of eachother. Nice weapon reversals everything, grade A entertainment right there.
Match: Cybrus VS Luke Fittes (Loser leaves SWF) Victor: Luke Fittes Thoughts: Cybrus leave SWF? Yeah that lasted long, anyways this match was the tied as the best so far with the street fight. The match being restarted was a bit sketchy but I can overlook that, 15 Shows helping was one of the first big acts of one of SWF's great factions the Destruction Crew. Also, Fittes mocking Cybrus after the match was classic.
Match: D.P. Blaze VS John Stevens VS Luke Fittes Victor: NEW CHAMPION: John Stevens Thoughts: Fittes was a sneaky bastard and was in two matches, anyway this match was the best match I've read so far in the three PPV's. It was a classic triple threat match, a lot of high risk moves that where ruined by the third man especially when I thought Blaze had it on that top rope. I remember reading this the first time and was shocked John Stevens won the title. Stevens tricked Blaze out of his title run, which was something new and nice too see.

Last Stand - 2006
Match: CWO VS Pimp Lad VS Prince Rich (No Holds Barred) Victor: Pimp Lad Thoughts: I always liked this match, but it seems to just jump right into the action too fast now that I read it. There was a nice use of uncommon weapons glass pane, window ect. But I thought that the ending seemed a bit rushed with Crash setting up the table and what not, but overall it wasn't a bad way to start off the PPV.
Match: Ace VS NCR (Tyro Title Championship) Victor: NCR via countout Thoughts: I thought this ending was actually really well put together. It actually gave the rivalry a huge push and NCR getting frusterated about winning the match but not the Tyro title. The match was short but definately got the point across of Ace as a heel and NCR as a face.
Match: Lethal Lottery Victor: NEW CHAMPIONS: NCR and Pimp Lad Thoughts: Great match, the action just poured into the ring and everybody begins brawling. A lot of double eliminations which was good in some aspect, NCR and Pimp Lad sure had it together in this match, Stain interupting was a little odd come to think of it but I can overlook that.
Match: Malicious VS Stain Victor: Stain Thoughts: Pretty good midway point, Stain was dominant through most of the match but Malicious kept getting up and striking Stain with all he had. It also had the right amount of wrestling and just shear brutality between the two, Stain winning continued to push him over and might of been the beginning of the downstreak for Malicious.
Match: 15 Shows VS D.P. Blaze VS D-Man VS The Prodigy Victor: The Prodigy Thoughts: Reminded me exactally of a money in the bank which what it was supposed to be, a lot of high risk moves between all these guys. I especially liked the ending when The Prodigy betrayed Shows and climbed the ladder to get the Blank Check himself, that was the icing on the cake for me.
Match: John Stevens VS Luke Fittes (SWF Title) Victor: NEW CHAMPION: Luke Fittes Thoughts: Classic Main Event. Two of the biggest names in SWF at the time fighting a long awaited one on one match against eachother. The match was very technical and had no interuptions like a lot of the past PPV's, the SWF title did come into play at the ending when Luke Fittes DDT'd John Stevens onto it. Come on guys we really need a clean ending sometime here.

Freedom Friday - 2006
Match: NCR and Pimp Lad VS CyPy (Tag Team Champions) Victor: NEW CHAMPIONS: CyPy Thoughts: CyPy made quick work of NCR and Pimp Lad which was good and bad. The good was that CyPy seemed dominant over NCR and Pimp Lad who where scrapped together, the bad was that CyPy didn't really look like they had to work for the title. Not a bad or good opening match in my opinion it was average.
Match: Jackal VS Reaper VS The King VS Alexander Payne Victor: Jackal Thoughts: Oh great, pornhead won this won. Anyway, now that I got that off my chest. I thought that the eliminations where very quick and that the match had a funny feeling to it. It seemed like they just started brawling and someone got eliminated then 30 sec. later another person got eliminated. Just didn't like the overall feel of this match.
Match: Stain VS Malicious & Onslaught (Handicapped, Barbed Wire Hell in a Cell) Victor: Stain Thoughts: Now I know what your thinking, Awsome a hell in a cell match. Nope this match was terrible, it looks like it was done in 5 minutes. Granted I liked that the cell was involved a lot but this match wasn't brought out to its full potential and could of been made better if some more time was put into it.
Match: Ace VS Anthony Perillo (Tyro Championship) Victor: Anthony Perillo Thoughts: This was actually a very well put together match. Ace and Perillo seemed perfectly matched, I thought the match could of been better with just shear wrestling and none of that steel chair stuff but it was still great. Controversial end, you like them a lot don't cha Fittes? But in this case I think it was okay since you made Ace seem to celebrate stealing another win at a PPV but then figuring out he lost.
Match: Luke Fittes VS Prince Rich (Ambulence Match) Victor: Luke Fittes Thoughts: Violent match, I remember this one well. The Ambulence came into play a lot in the match but they also introduced weapons which was a nice touch. They used about every inch of the Ambulence to hurt there opponent, Fittes wanted revenge on Rich for screwing him out of the title and he got it. Also, I always liked the ending when Fittes hit Rich with a DDT and off the Ambulence through two tables. Very unique style for an Ambulence match.
Match: D-Man VS 15 Shows (SWF Championship) Victor: DRAW Thoughts: Man, I miss these Main Events when it was just one on one action singles match. We should bring these back anyway, a lot of tention could be felt in this match. The ending with all the guys from the rivalry with the Destruction Crew coming out felt like it wasn't needed I think the match could of standed alone without it, but what's done is done. Overall, not a bad Main Event nice mat wrestling and some good high points!
