STAY HYPED!!!
|
Anyone else find it suspicious that this "news" didn't break until the Benoit tragedy? Why wasn't it reported earlier? |

Nobody gave a shit earlier...he was just some stupid wrestler then. Now, everybody wants to know every tragedy that every wrestler has ever had so they can attack the industry as a whole. |

That's pretty terrible. Sounds like his wife was a real bitch. |

Gee in one thread you say kicking an asshole out of the locker room is "bullying" yet in this thread a wife leaving a man after he choked her and threw her against a wall is a "real bitch".

I was commenting on her pretty nasty actions. I didn't justify what Awesome did, nor do I justify what she did (especially considering as how it was bad enough to lead to a suicide). |

technically, she got choked after she told Awesome that she was going to leave, not beforehand. i'm not validating Awesome's behavior, mind you. going off my limited knowledge of his suicide, all i can figure is that he simply lost his mind. shit......i have no clue how i'd behave if i thought i was in a good marriage, only to have the woman tell me that she was leaving. and, to have her take everything they owned, that would've pushed many men over the edge. i'm sure that's happened a lot more frequently then any of us hear. all of this would've taken place over a course of what......hours? a day? 2 days? all of this looks like it happened over a short amount of time.....which easily could've pushed him beyond his breaking point. |

This happens to people everyday. Most don't commit suicide. |

while most people may not commit suicide, after such a situation, it's not that unusual, either. we just don't hear about most of the cases, simply because the media doesn't see it as newsworthy. the only reason we even heard of these details is because the media somehow linked it (slightly) to Benoit's. if it wasn't for that, i doubt most of us would know why this happened to Awesome. |

I just read a mention of Mike Awesome. Truly Awesome. As big as Vinny Vegas, agile as a luchador. He was the best, had that ''it factor'', great stick, so very sad. ...he was so mis-used in the WCW, as so many young talent were misused. Why he was not honed, and nurtured to be champ, is beyond me. He could have been the next Hulk. Just another case of wrong time, wrong place. By the time Awesome, post the ECW,hit the bigtime, the WCW was a company in shambles. The NWO gimmick had been milked and milked, long past the expiration date, and I had soured on this product. Like, yuck-spit. So many run ins, count-outs, swerves, mis-directions...they were all this NWO bullshit. So all the storylines and good old-fashioned good vs bad stories were replaced by the tired old, drug out non drama of NWO vs Who?, then vs What and I don't Know. WCW....the inmates were running the asylum...Bishoff became a fan like in a fantasy camp...he was so busy trying to be in front of the camera, Ken Doll..and the sad push trying to get his own son over he was so busy trying to be a star. who ever in the world ever paid a ticket to see Eric Bishoff...They Give Awesome an Awful gimmick. The KliQ, Bishoff wanna the Boys, Hogan and his crew of re-treads hoggin all the heat..that NWO shit made me stop watching, that shit was soooo played out. The tragedy of WCW was they gave none of the new blood push, neither in the locker room nor the camera and stick...bad bad writing Russo... With all the shit, all this shit...Mike Awesome sees his career swirling down the toiletbowl, His HomeLife is a mess, He was so wrapped up in the Business shit, he just figured that all was well at home. WCW killed Awesome, along with a few others..Kris Kanyon pops to mind.. |
