Alright, so we've talked on and on about this whole ordeal about him, but let's take all the hooplah out of it for a second: With the loss of Chris Benoit the performer, what is WWE really losing? He was going to be an intregal part of the ECW roster, and looking at TV.com, he won the majority of the "Match of the Month" polls this year. So without a guy like Benoit, do you really think WWE is losing one of their greatest performers?

Just think that none of his classics with Angle, Michaels, Triple H, his newer matches with MVP or even a future match with CM Punk will ever see the light of day.

The big loss I see is Benoit was the go to guy when it came to grooming the younger superstars. I mean, look at all the attention MVP has gained through his feud with Benoit.

I think what we would've missed were future feuds with Punk, Burke, and Nitro. All of which would've been match of the month quality.

So without a guy like Benoit, do you really think WWE is losing one of their greatest performers?

I think that much is a given. Benoit was considered one of the top 5-10 performers in the world for the last 10 years or so. He's one of those guys that everyone wanted to work with and every company wanted to have working for them. I think this entire ordeal will but a proverbial black eye on Benoit's wrestling legacy, but if people are honest with themselves and don't let their emotions of the murder cloud their judgment, then people will realize just how big of a loss this is for the wrestling community.

That's not to say that I condone, forgive, or even understand why he did what he did. I don't. However, the man was an incredible talent inside the ring. He may have been a monster at the end of the day, but his wrestling legacy was pretty top notch.

That is 100% Correct Cy.

It's times like this, they need to get the potential out of guys like Punk, Cade, The Hardys, Burke, Orton and even drop the Eugene crap and turn him back into Nick Dinsmore, who was credited to be the next Benoit.

I also think WWE should look at all the talen in OVW, and call up Birchall and Runnels to SD and ECW, both are great athletes and one day will be as big as Benoit.

what really amazes me, when i look at this whole situation, is that this happened to Benoit. at one time or another, i would've expected this out of Scott Steiner. i would've expected this from Scott Hall. i viewed Raven as more likely to pull a stunt like this.

shit, i would've suspected Goldberg, more then Benoit......based off a horror story, when i worked at a Ramada many years back. Lex Luger was far more likely to pull such a stunt, at one point or another.

what about Jake Roberts? what's stopped him from going off the deep end?

of all the guys that were likely to do something, it ends up being someone like Benoit who gets stuck in the middle of such a situation. i think that's making it hard for my mind to grasp the whole series of events.
