Edge comes on-screen to open SD!. The crowd couldn't hear what exactly he was saying but it was quick.

The SmackDown! intro w/ pyro airs.

MVP comes to the ring and joins JBL and Cole. Lots of boo's for him. Matt Hardy is out next to face Chris Masters. Hardy won the match with a twist of fate. After the match. MVP distracted Matt and Masters applied the Master Lock. As Hardy tried to break it, Masters jumped in the ring and beat him down. Masters and MVP leave after MVP hits his finishing move on Matt.

Finlay was on the way to the ring as we hung up.

A Kane video package for the Great American Bash is shown.

A Major Brothers video package airs noting that they've been on a role since coming to SmackDown!.

Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Knoble vs. The Major Brothers is next. Chavo got good pop while The Major Brothers didn't receive much of anything. Major Brothers win with a missile dropkick on Chavo.

Vickie Guereero is backstage with The Great Khali's translator. Khali's translator backs him up and she is cornered into a locker-room.

Back from commercial as they are setting up for a contract signing, Khali beats up a random guy (indy wrestler) over a disagreement on the chairs that will be setup for the signing. He says he needs a bigger chair etc etc etc. Blah.

A Rey Mysterio return video package is shown. Big pop.

Edge cuts a backstage promo and turns around to face the TV and Kane's face appears. When he turns around a second time, Kane's face is gone from the screen.

Terry Long comes out for the contract signing and brings out Batista to a huge pop. Khali comes out next. Batista signs quick which is followed by Khali's translator going on a rant about how when Khali issues and open challenge he doesn't expect an 'Animal' to accept. Khali speaks some jibberish before being slapped by Batista. Khali tries to attack but the translator holds him back. Khali on the outside of the ring throws the ring steps inside. Batista throws them back outside before taking a table and tossing that too.

A Local Jobber vs. Chuck Palumbo is up next. The jobber gets in one kick and is totally dominated. Palumbo did his motorcycle gimmick and surprisingly got a big pop.

A Jesse & Festus promo airs - coming soon.

Edge is shown brushing his teeth backstage. When he looks in the mirror, Kane is there. When he looks again, Kane is gone.

Cherry, Deuce, & Domino are backstage. Eugene comes up and says he wants to ride in their car. They tell him that he can have one as long as he defeats Domino's opponent tonight without naming him. It's Eugene vs. Mark Henry. Eugene still has the green paint on his boots. Henry wins with a no hug. They all taunted Eugene and left.

Backstage segment with Torrie Wilson and Victoria. Victoria she's says the most dominate diva on SmackDown!. It's Torrie vs. Victoria in a few.

Teddy Long, Krystal, and Vickie Guerrero are backstage. Vickie is made the 'made of honor' for the wedding.

Torrie defeated Victoria by count out. Outside the ring as the two fight, Torrie snakes in before a 10 count.

Edge throws a Mardi Graas parage. He brings out ltos of cartoon characters like you'd see in a New Orleans parade. They throw out beads, etc etc etc. Edge spots a King & Queen and brings them into the ring. Edge spears the Queen. The King winds up being Kane and he tears the place apart. Kane's pyro hits and the show ends.

I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout.
The most interesting thing about this show sounds like the Kane haunting Edge bit. I can see a Kane/Edge feud being pretty good. Although, I can't see the "Big Red Monster" being a groom.

I see Kane ending this feud and only building his stature. He needs credibility.

Sounds like another decent SmackDown!. I'm always happy to see Palumbo in action.

Yup hahaha, I realised that aswell. I'm sure anyone with half a brain and seen that fued would realise it. But without the crazy Orton senior bloody face bit, it can't beat the Taker/Orton fued.

Long and Krystal getting married?? WTF??

I don't go by the write up of a show. If I chose to watch Smackdown, which I often don't, but if I do, I go by what I see. It's often crap, but I'll probably tune in on Friday and see what's goin on. I kida miss Edge.

So gimme a ballpark figure on how many of each you think you have.

I would assume the number is almost astronomical.

Of each? Like how many Raws, Smackdowns, ECW's (new and old), Memphis wrestling, WCW etc? If that's your question...I have no idea...

For those that care, the black guy with the bleached hair in Edges "party" is Memphis Wrestler Derrick King.

What was the point of the Michelle McCool segment? Honestly. Why should anyone care that she likes to rollerblade? Is that information supposed to get people interested in her? If anything, it just made me realise that she is one of the worst divas in WWE history with her complete lack of personality, possibly the worst mic skills of any diva, and her forgettable "average porn star" look.

It was nice seeing Palumbo again since I hadn't seen him in forever, but other than that, this show was a waste of electricity and time.

I'm going back to not watching this show again.

Don't you get it? It's to hype up her new "All American Girl" character. Why the hell else would they have it? Every wrestler has promos to hype them up. I think she is gonna be an annoying heel that annoys everyone with what she likes. Palubo came back last week.

I also thought SmackDown! lacked the electricity we've seen over the past weeks. It seemed that the best episode of SmackDown! yet was the one in the week Benoit died. If only WWE let the wrestlers do what they did on the week Benoit died, then SmackDown! would be great every week. I thought Helms vs. Finlay was match of the night.

I really want Kane to win, but I must agree with you. Their isn't enough hype for the match to let Kane win. :-/

Is this the first show you've seen in a while? I only ask because you said you are going "back" to not watching again. This segment is part of a (equally as bad) series of promos that Michelle has been doing over the past few weeks. Every week she does something like this and then ends with "I'm Michelle McCool. I'm enjoying life" or whatever she actually says. I don't know what her role is going to be when she comes back. I guess she is no longer manager of that bland team that didn't get over and that this is WWE's way of repackaging her into another bland role.

I wonder how many fans realize that Palumbo's current gimmick is a rehash of Taker's biker gimmick? The turnover may be high enough that many fans don't know it. I do know it (and I'm sure most that post here know it as well), so it is hard for me to watch Palumbo and think anything other than "Taker did it better".

The Kane/Edge segments weren't as bad as I feared. I was afraid we were going to see more cheesie segments similar to the ones that aired during the Hogan/Warrior feud in WCW or the more recent Taker/Orton feud a while back. These segments were a bit more believable. The TV one was stupid since it make no sense for Kane to stalk Edge from inside a TV (he couldn't see anything), but the part where he snuck up behind Edge while Edge was brushing his teeth, but then moved before Edge could see him was good.

Over all, this was a very blah show. It hasn't been the same show since the draft. It's not even that good, actually.

I realize it. But when you see that motorcycle it gets you excited. Just like when you watched Taker when he was a biker it got you excited to just see him zoom down the ring like that. I hope we get some kinda storyline going where someone throws his bike off the SmackDown! ramp(ala Taker vs. Triple H rivalry leading up to WMX-7)......wait...that can't happen since SmackDown lost it's ramp.

Ah well, anyway most younger fans in the arena only know Taker of the current era like you said. Besides having the bike their gives Palumbo more character and gives him more credibility than he already does. I can't wait to see what stories they have in store for him.

Besides when I started watching WWE back in late 2003 and on the first RAW of 2004 Palumbo was still there. So, I guess that's why I'm giving him a chance

But when you see that motorcycle it gets you excited.

Only if it adds to the person's gimmick. Taker coming out on a bike added to his gimmick. Eddie coming out in his car added to his gimmick. Stone Cold coming out in a beer truck, monster truck, zamboni, cement truck, etc added to his gimmick. Palumbo coming out on a bike just seems random and one dimensional. It's like "there's nothing else about this guy, but he has a bike!"

How so? They've really explained nothing about it other than "he builds them". Palumbo is very awkward looking on the bike. He stops for no reason. He looks down at the ground for no reason. He revs up the bike in a very awkward way. He's not fluid in any of his motions.

SmackDown, yes. I don't watch the show much because it seems that every time I decide to watch it, for whatever reason, I see episodes like this one.

The worst RAW and worst iMPACTs are better than the average SmackDown, as far as I'm concerned. :-/
