I almost fainted!

I was just coming out of the loo, and I was walking down the hall. I started to feel dizzy, and couldn't walk in a straight line. Suddenly, everything went dark and I couldn't hear anything, and my vision became nothing more than silouettes of figures. I told my father, and he said "sit down", and so I did. Five minutes later, and now I'm ok.

Has anyone ever fainted before? It's not a very pleasant situation.

I have had similar experiences where I had blurred vision, weakness in the joints and basically just felt... well weak like I was being held down and couldn't stand up any longer, but I've never gotten to point of actually fainting though.

I don't think I've ever fainted or come near it. I've had similiar effects before, but it was always just a head rush from standing too fast or something.

I've come near to being knocked out physically before and that experience was very much like what you described, Neb.

I've never did it but when I was in Cali one summer visiting my cousin while my other one was getting married.

He fainted and I didn't know how to react cause I've never seen it so everyone in the church just looked in shock and I ran up to see if he was okay.

All the people in the church literally turned their attention to me. Turns out it was do to heat exhaustion.

Thankfully he was okay.

Fainting is embarrassing but I had a much worse situation... I was training for lifeguarding finals so I had to work my balls off as far as carrying some for long distances, I pushed myself to the max, and had to get out of the pool I swam so hard, I also had to go for a shit...

So to make a long story short, I nearly fainted while sitting on the john with my pants around my ankles, and I was so weak shitting was difficult so I can imagine the site if they bust down the door to see if I was ok...

^True.

You may call me Jim.

I, along with everyone else, experience vertigo (or what I now assume to be vertigo) whenever I get up really quickly. This thing that I described lasted about two minutes or so though, whereas vertigo usually only lasts a few seconds.

I passed two years ago and it was very serious. I was running around all day, and as I was waiting in line for ice cream, I started to feel dizzy. Before I knew it, I couldn't see anything and I really don't remember anything after that.

Supposively, I had absolutely no pulse for over a minute. My dad gave me CPR and I ended up getting my breath back. When I woke up, I was surrounded by a good amount of strangers. My sister and cousins, who were with me at the time were crying.

I was rushed to the hospital and I had to stay over night. After I was released from the hospital, I had several check-ups after that. They're still monitoring me to this day. It was easily the worst experience of my life.

The doctors came up with the conclusion that my heart rate is/was very weak. To this day, I still start to lose my vision at random points in the day, but as soon as I sit down for a few minutes, I start to feel back to my regular self again.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear that you're alright, Jimmy C.

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through
I had vertigo caused by fluid on my inner ear. When I tilted my head into certain positions, everything would start to spin and I'd lose my balance and fall. If I closed my eyes, I would see swirls...like a pinwheel....I had to go to the Dr. and he gave me some nasal spray and other stuff to dry the fluid.
