I found a random newsbit about the possiblity of Dimension making a 4th installment in the Scream movie franchise. I've always been a big fan of the movies, and so my interest in seeing another one is through the roof; however, I'm not sure how they can continue the story after the decisive ending of the last film. Anyway, the quote is a few months old, but it is the first time I've ever heard of any solid progression being made with regards to a Scream 4.

This was followed by a question regarding the likelihood of a SCREAM 4. Craven relpied with, "Actually, I recieved a call about that for the first time the other day... obviously, I've been asked about that for a long, long time... I think that it's not completely off the table at this point, as far as the studio making it. I was asked if I'd be interested, but I said it would depend on the script. [Scream 4] isn't something that's around the corner or anything, they are now thinking about it." Craven has been quoted for years as saying that Scream 4 would never happen, but it appears that that's changed, at least somewhat.

I'd love to see another one. Perhaps someone can finally kill Dewey!

You do know that it was seven years since the first Terminator that it's sequel was made and that was considered a classic by some? Not to mention that twelve years passed before a third was made and that one turned out to be quite good too. It's more than likely that if Scream 4 turns out to be shitty, it's simply because it would just be another in a long line of shitty, poorly made sequels rehashing the same plot line as the first movie. You know, like Screams 2 & 3.

I wonder if Randy will just happen to have another video tape of horror movie cliches laying around in case of a forth set of killings.
