I was just curious. Who on this board plans on or is in the process of being a professional wrestler?

Haha, I was like 13 at the time. I wanted to be a fire fighter, soccer player, NBA player, rapper, actor, wrestler, hella shit.

Now I want to be a sports journalist, and I'm sticking with this. :)

As for being a wrestler, it was just a phase in my life. It was when I first started watching.

It's always been on my mind. Right now, my first priority is going to a good college. After that's over with, I could definately see myself joining a professional wrestling school. We'll see what happens. Anything can happen, I guess.

I don't debate. I'm always right.
Hell no. I couldn't handle being on the road all the time. I think I'll stick with living vicariously through my favorite wrestlers.
Actually..I do have an armature background of sorts. I was an armature wrestler in school. I did quite well with my speed. But gaining a whole lot of weight, drinking, smoking, and a loss of interest changed all that. There were other factors too. But it was a very long time ago...and my memory isn't what it used to be.
To be honest...Joining the wrestling team was the best thing I ever did. Since most street fights end up on the ground.. my ass has been saved a few times... because of the training I received in school.

Nah. I want to be a mad scientist. I think every wrestling fan, at one time or another, wants to be a wrestler though. :)

Funny story, I was actually in the process of getting ready to be one, or rather train, even talking to Lance Storm online about what I needed to have if I were to come train over there, but then I got injured and maybe after I get things situated, I might still take it up while I still have time.

I'm starting to hit the weights alot more and doing a bunch of cardiovascular exercises so I know I'm making progress, depending on how long it takes to get to where I feel I should be is a matter of time.

at one time in life, i would've loved being a wrestler. that was when i was much younger, though.

once i grew up, i wised up enough to know that i'd rather watch. don't think i could handle the non stop traveling. i have a low threshold for pain, too.

I will find you.
I have the goal of one day becoming a professional wrestler. I'm plan on saving up some cash in the next two years and going to either Lance Storm Wrestling Academy or ROH's wrestling school. It's a tough road, but it's a road I'm willing to take...

At different times I have thought of it but if anything I would own/book a promotion, announce or color commentate for it... That's about it.

I think a better question is who DOESN'T want to be a wrestler?

CHIKARA's camp is pretty good too. But if you want to learn the basics Lance's and RoH is pretty damn good too.

I always thought it would be cool to be a sports entertainer. Once you get into it and learn what it's actually all about you change your mind real quick.

Year round schedule, constantly getting injured, backstabbing politics, drugs, death in your mid 40's. No thanks.

there's also bullshit like cheap skate promoters that bail out before paying all their talent......especially the young, inexperienced performers. i've heard that horror story a few times.

i wouldn't like busting my ass for a promotion, only to get little or no money. who here hasn't heard about one wrestler or another getting paid little or no money at all?

Mutha Fu**a I'm ill.
For a while, I was really interested in the business. I studied it, did research on cost and everything. I did some backyard wrestling matches here near my area. I had wanted to be one, but changed my mind after getting really fucked up after somebody messed up a spear. Than they went and started beating my already injured ribs down even more.

Now, I want to be a sports writer, commentator. Really anything that has to work with sports.
