I voted for Kurt Angle. Out of the contenders, I feel he was the stand out star of the year. |

I'm split between Angle and Christian. Both had very good years and both are deserving of the award. I'm going to have to do a bit of backtracking to see who is more deserving. We have a while before we have to finalize our vote, yeah? Like several days? |

I think this is going to go on for a little bit, maybe a week. As for my vote, the choices are are great but alot that are on the list were out for a couple months because of a situation that arose during the year. It's been a pretty good year overall in wrestling I think. Though there were things that sucked also but you gotta take the good with the bad. I think I would've chosen Angle if he wasn't so overexposed and Styles has had one of his best years being that funny guy, but my vote has to go to Christian simply cause I've grown a much bigger fan of his since his leaving, but more so I was starting to be one before he left. Now that it seems he has a bit more control over his character, his promos have stepped it up more than ever in the course of the year. He may not be the wrestler Angle is but to me his what he does on the mic more than makes up for it. Plus he made having the NWA belt something worthy of wanting. It was a breathe of fresh air from the Jarrett reigns. |

MVP. Just when everyone hated him, he came out and proved everyone wrong by winning the title, putting on great matches and promos, and having arguably the best feud of the year. When he is on the mic, he'll be sure to make it entertaining. |

Voted for Cage. All those wrestlers had only one or two good months at best. Cage seemed the most solid out of all of them. Kennedy was good at the beginning of 2007, but he wasn't that good anymore after the injury. AJ Styles is good, but he's being wasted at TNA. I voted for Cage, since he seems to be the most solid out of the list. Benoit, he's dead. Only had one good month and put MVP over pretty well. Edge was second place on my list. Morishima's ROH Title Regin was boring as hell. He had some good matches, but he was still boring. Kurt Angle's still a good wrestler, but he seems annoying. Morrison had a decent title reign, until he got busted with the roids. As Johnny Nitro, he wasn't much of a big deal. As Morrison, he had the Main Event looks he lacked when he was Nitro. He's a good wrestler, but not enough to be WOTY material. MVP, three first lousy months isn't good on his books. The rest of the year was good for him. He had the feud of the year with Matt Hardy (in regards to WWE), but he didn't defend the US Title enough to make it look worthy and they focused more on the Tag Team title belts. CM Punk, not that good of a champion, really. Orton... he improved a bit on PPV matches (the Survivor Series match against HBK was the best match he had this year IMO), but he blows on tv. He's still a forgettable champion. Kazarian only had one good month. Here's hoping he becomes something more important next year. Michaels is still a good wrestler, but he hasn't done enough this year to earn my vote. |

I've backtracked through the year, using the PPV results as my tracking device, and have concluded that Christian edges Angle out of WOTY contention. Christian had a very good year. He was a good champion at the beginning of the year. Had the very entertaining Christian Coalition throughout the majority of the middle of the year. And has started to show signs of a face turn towards the end of the year. He's had great matches against Angle, Joe, Sting, Booker, and even put Kaz over. He is the most deserving person to be called the 2007 Wrestler of the Year. |

I had to vote for AJ Styles for the reason that this was his breakout year to me. He finally got a personality to go with his awesome in ring ability. He also won the tag titles and made the Christian Coalition enjoyable to watch. He is one of the highlights of Impact every week. |

For those wondering, I'm leaving the "of the Year" awards open because -O- said they would culminate with the end of the year awards show... |

I love how there's always a few late votes after a poll has been closed.
