Herb Abrams UWF tapes start airing on ESPN Classic on January 7th @ 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
Time Warner Cable in New York is on Channel 171.  (Just changed from 84)

I do believe when Herb Abrams died (OD on coke), that his tapes became the property of wrestler Sonny Beach (Rick Allen).

Can't wait, I can mark out again, as many of my friends and I were always at ringside.  And hubby George was a Bodyguard for Herb.

Some of the stars who should be seen, such as Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley, Bam Bam Bigelow, John Tolos, Lou Albano, Rick Rude, Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams, Bob Backlund, Cowboy Bob Orton, Don Muraco, Sonny Beach, Stevie Ray, Louie Spicolli, The Killer Bees and so much more.

Foley said in his autobiography that these shows were pretty extravagant or summat, yeah? Should be fun to watch for you ESPN peoples.

They built their station on the back of wrestling...AWA in the afternoon, they just refuse to acknowledge it. They also showed the Golden Age of Wrestling on Classic a lot. I'm not surprised at all at the hypocrisy of ESPN. They have been that way since the beginning.

You know you shouldn't talk about wrestling before the 1990's.

I loved watching the AWA when it was on...or rather acknowledged by ESPN.
