I'm not sure if you have kept up with the storms that hit my area last night, but they were bad. Tornados everywhere. Lots of damage and people died. I saw wall clouds and hid like a little girl. :lol: But, here are some pics from local people if you want to see them.

pussy. a bit of wind never hurt anyone. shut up, and man up, you bitch.

Cool photos though. The one with the dead trees and grey sky looks like something out of a Frankenstein movie. Very atmospheric and hence, groovay.

That is the formation of a funnel cloud, yeah? Meaning the start of a tornado touching the ground? That would be a really cool sight to see in real life. It would probably be one of the scariest moments of my life, but cool still.

Glad to hear you are ok, Purps and I hope no one you know was injured in the massive storm front that hit.

I'm fine. Luckily, I wasn't affected nor any of my family.

State By State Damage Report

FAST FACTS:

    * 24 dead in Tennessee
    * 13 dead in Arkansas
    * 7 dead in Kentucky

TENNESSEE: At least 24 people were killed, including a70-year-old man whose mobile home was leveled in Macon County. A fire erupted at a natural gas pumping station northeast of Nashville that authorities said could have been damaged by the storms. Eight students were trapped in a battered dormitory at Union University in Jackson until they were finally freed; about 51 students were taken to the hospital. Winds collapsed roof of Sears store Hickory Ridge Mall.

MISSISSIPPI: A twister shredded warehouses in an industrial park in the city of Southaven, just south of Memphis.

The stuff I put in bold: That Mall, I go to all the time. The warehouses in MS is at the end of the street that I work on. I drive by it every day at lunch time and when I go home.

Holy crap, I didn't know it as that close to you.

I left work early that day because of the weather. I drove though a lot of that storm to get home. About 30 mins after I left work, that tornado hit the warehouse. I was staring at a wall cloud the entire time I was driving home on I-55.

Clouds look similar to the ones I saw yesterday before driving away from that area. Generally means hail over here though, rather than a tornado.

Interestingly, I once saw a tornado, or a funnel cloud (didn't make a full tornado because it didn't touch the ground or something from what I read) just on top of those hills near the back of my house which you can see in those photos I posted. I thought it was fairly cool.

Also, I like the way almost every single car in those photos is an oversized pickup truck. :lol:

They can actually use those trucks in areas like that, though. :tu:

I've never experienced a tornado and I don't want to. I came close in 1998 when one touched down in a town over, but due to the fairly uneven terrain, they're extraordinarily rare.

That looks horrible. I heard some thunder and lightning late last night here, as well.

*cue a 'You want some thunder? How about a little lightning?' gif from The Rundown that it seems no one has made*
