COMBAT ZONE WRESTLING AND LOCOMOTIVE VISION JOIN FORCES FOR INTERNATIONAL DVD RELEASES

TRENTON, N.J. - Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) has signed an exclusive agreement with Locomotive Vision for worldwide release of its DVD titles.

"Locomotive is extremely excited to be working with CZW Wrestling," said US Managing Director for Locomotive Tom "Smitty" Smith. "Their rapidly growing popularity and rabid fan base makes this a very attractive partnership. Now entering their ninth year, CZW has shown that they have what it takes to succeed in the ultra-competitive world of sports entertainment. We are looking forward to utilizing our strengths to maximize the presence and sales of CZW Wrestling video at all levels and further increase their position as a premiere wrestling division."

"It's exciting to know that Locomotive is planning to really get behind CZW and help push the company to the next level," said CZW founder John Zandig. "This deal will enable us to reach many more fans throughout the country and around the world. It will help CZW grow as a whole. As DVDs sell, we will increase our market which, in turn, will allow us to expand our live events. We're thrilled to know that Locomotive is as excited to work with us as we are with them."

The first title will be available in all DVD retail outlets by this summer.

CZW was founded in 1999. The company originally built its reputation on a strong roster of homegrown talent, many of whom were culled from its own wrestling school, and a "hardcore" reputation. Shedding some of the hardcore in favor of a balanced mix of high-flying action, technical wrestling, and its tried and true hardcore style, CZW has earned itself a reputation as one of the top independent wrestling organizations in the world.

The company runs shows monthly at the New Alhambra Arena (formerly home to the legendary ECW) in Philadelphia.

Locomotive Vision is a division of Locomotive Records. Locomotive Records was founded in 1996 by music producer Goyo Esteban. Since its formation 11 years ago, the company has become one of the biggest Independent labels in Europe, South America, and the United States. With well-known artists from many genres, its main focus remains rock and metal music, and as a US licensor for bigger Indie labels. As a small record label in Spain, the company started with a lone office in Madrid but soon opened up another office in Cologne, Germany, in 2002. That office is now responsible for the international business and artistic vision for the whole company. In January 2008 Locomotive Records opened a US office in New York to increase its profile in the US market and offer a local and country-specific partner to expand its business even further.

Personally I've never been a huge fan of CZW, I always thought they were trying a bit much to be another ECW but more violent.

Still some good wrestlers have wrestled there.

I'm not usually a fan of CZW's style of wrestling, but if the DVD's managed to find their way over this side of the pond I might check them out depending on who's on them. I do like "Sick" Nick Mondo from what I've seen of him.

If it is true, it's the first I've heard of it, but I still wouldn't be surprised. :-/

I didn't even know CZW was still around. I thought they went under when XPW died.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
From the little I watched, Sexxy Eddie seemed kinda worthy to watch, along with Ruckus and a few other I can't remember their names.

I have always been a fan of CZW after I first watched it a few years back. It is a sweet alternative to WWE because it has a more extreme eliment to the matches which I like to see.
